금주의 묵상: 시편 121:1-8

본문: 데살로니가전서 5:1-28

제목: 그리스도의 날 (휴거)을 바라보는 그리스도인의 삶

       사도 바울은 유대인들에게 복음을 전하면서 박해를 받으며 오직 그리스도께서 나타나실 휴거의 날을 기다리고 있는 데살로니가 교회 성도들에게 성령 안에서 편지하고 있습니다. 그는 오늘날 우리들에게도 동일한 메세지를 주고 있습니다. 바울은 또한 주님께서 공중에 나타나실 그 날이 오기 전에 교회들이 육신의 안락 속에서 영적인 잠에 취해 있게 될 것을 미리 성령을 통하여 거듭난 성도들에게 비밀리에 알려 주시는 메세지인 것입니다.

       사도 요한에게 주신 메세지에 주님께서 나타나시기 직전 교회인 라오디게아 교회에게 하신 말씀이 들어있습니다:

” 내가 네 행위를 아노니 네가 차지도 아니하고 덥지도 아니하도다. 나는 네가 차든지 덥든지 하기를 원하노라. 네가 그처럼 미지근하여 차지도 아니하고 덥지도 아니하기 때문에 내가 너를 내 입에서 토해 내겠노라. 네가 말하기를 ‘나는 부자며, 부요하고, 아무것도 부족한 것이 없다.’고 하지만 너는 비참하고, 가련하며, 가난하고, 눈멀고, 헐벗은 것을 알지 못하는도다. 내가 너에게 권고하노니 내게서 불로 단련된 금을 사서 부요하게 되고, 흰 옷을 사서 입음으로 너의 벌거벗은 수치를 드러내지 않게 하며, 또 안약을 네 눈에 발라 보게 하라. 내가 사랑하는 자마다 책망하고 징계하노니 그러므로 열심을 내고 회개하라. 보라, 내가 문 앞에 서서 두드리노라. 누구든지 내 음성을 듣고 그 문을 열면 내가 그에게로 들어가서 그와 함께 먹으며 그도 나와 함께 먹으리라.”(계 3:15-20)

 주님께서는 마지막 때에 교회들이 배교할 것을 미리 보여주신 것입니다.

 사도 바울은 휴거를 기다리는  데살로니가 교회 성도들에게 휴거가 일어날 때에 대하여 분명하게 증거했습니다: “영으로나 말로나 또는 우리에게서 받았다고 하는 편지로나 그리스도의 날이 가까웠다고 마음이 쉽게 흔들리거나 두려워해서는 안 될 것이라. 아무도 어떤 모양이로든지 너희를 미혹하지 못하게 하라. 이는 먼저 배교하는 일이 이르지 않고, 또 그 죄의 사람 곧 멸망의 아들이 나타나지 않고서는 그 날이 오지 아니함이라.”(살후 2:2-3)

       주님께서는 주님이 오시기 직전에 육신적인 그리스도인들이 “평안하다, 안전하다.”고 말하면서 영적으로 발가벗은채로 살다가 갑자기 그 날을 맞이하게 될 것을 경고하고 있는 것입니다. 평안하다는 것은 온 세계가 잠시 동안 평화 가운데 있게 될 것이며 경제적으로도 잠시 동안 풍요하게 될 것을 미리 말씀하고 있는 것입니다.

        주님께서 제자들에게 말씀하실 때에도 자신이 문 앞에 있게 될 때가 언제인지에 대하여 말씀해 주셨습니다: “무화과 나무의 한 비유를 배우라. 그 가지가 우연해지고 잎이 나오면, 여름이 가까운 줄 너희가 아나니 이와 같이 너희도 이 모든 것을 보면 그 일이 가까이, 곧 문들 앞에 이른 줄 알라 진실로 내가 너희에게 말하노니, 이 세대가 지나가기 전에 이 모든 일들이 이루어지리라. 하늘과 땅은 없어져도 내 말들은 결코 없어지지 아니하리라.”(마 24:32-35)

        계속해서 주님께서는 제자들에게 자신이 앞으로 지상에 재림하실 그 날에 대하여 말씀하셨습니다:  “그러나 노아의 날들과 같이 인자의 오는 것도 그러하리라. 홍수 전의 날들에 그들이 먹고 마시며, 장가가고 시집가고 하기를, 노아가 방주로 들어가던 날까지  홍수가 나서 그들을 모두 쓸어 버릴 때까지 그들이 알지 못하였던같이 인자의 오는 것도 그러하리라.”(마 24:37-39)

누가복음에서는 “너희도 이런 일이 일어나는 것을 보면 하나님의 나라가 가까운 줄 알라.”고 말씀하셨습니다 (눅 21:31).

        주님께서는 자신의 신부를 하늘 집으로 데려가시기 위해 공중에 나타나시는 그리스도의 날과 세상을 심판하시기 위하여 이 땅에 나타나시는 주의 날과는 7년 정도의 시간 차가 있는 것을 우리가 알 수 있습니다. 주님의 재림의 시기를 말씀을 통하여 알고 더욱 깨어서 그 날을 기다리면서 정신을 차리고 믿음과 사랑의 흉배를 붙이고 구원의 소망인 투구를 쓰고 주님을 만날 준비를 하는 삶을 살아야 될 것입니다.

       하나님께서는 여러 선지자들을 통하여 앞으로 야곱의 고난의 때, 즉 대 환란 끝에 재림하셔서 모든 이방 나라들을 심판하시기 전에 이스라엘에게 일어날 일들에 대하여 예언하셨습니다:

“보라, 내가 유다와 예루살렘의 사로집힌 자를 다시 데려올 그 날들과 그 때에 내가 또한 모든 민족들을 모아 그들을 여호사밧 골짜기 아래로 데려와서 거기서 그들과 더불어 내 백성과 내 유업 이스라엘을 위하여 변호하리라. 그들이 이스라엘을 민족들 가운데 흩뜨리고 나의 땅을 나누었고 .”(욜 3:1-2)

서기 70년에 로마 티투스 장군을 통하여 예루살렘을 초토화 시키고 이스라엘 민족을 팔레스타인 땅으로부터 쫓아내어 그들을 온 세상에 흩뜨린 일은 이미 역사적으로 이미 잘 알려진 사실입니다. 거의 이천 년 동안 그들은 나라를 잃어버리고 온 세상에 흩어져서 박해를 받고 놀림을 받은 것입니다.

        하나님의 섭리 가운데서 1948년 5월 14일에 기적적으로 그들이 본토로 돌아와서 다시 독립국가를 세움으로써 주님의 말씀대로 한 무화과나무의 줄기가 연해지게 된 것입니다. 1967년에 육 일 전쟁을 통하여 예루살렘의 반쪽인 동편 예루살렘을 다시 차지하게 됨으로써 이방인의 때가 끝이나는 때가 가까웠으며 이제 이스라엘에 왕국이 세워지는 날이 가까웠음을 알려주고 있는 것입니다. 주님께서는 이방인의 때에 대하여 말씀하셨습니다:

“또 그들은 칼날에 쓰러질 것이며, 모든 민족들에게 사로잡혀갈 것이요, 또 예루살렘은 이방인들의 때가 찰 때까지 이방인들에게 짓밟히리라.”(눅 21:24)

        그러나 이제 다시 선지자 요엘을 통하여 말씀하신 일이 우리 앞에 나타나고 있는 것입니다. 모든 민족이 UN과 함께 연합하여 하나님의 땅인 예루살렘을 나누겠다고 협박을 하고 있기 때문입니다. 그 동안 이스라엘을 도와주던 미국마져도 그들의 편에 서서 예루살렘을 내어놓지 않으면 평화 협상이 이루어지지 않을 것이라고 주장하면서 이제는 팔레스타인 편에 서게 된 것입니다. 그들은 이스라엘이 예루살렘을 포기만 하면 세계 평화가 이루어질 것으로 착각하며 어리석은 짓을 하고 있는 것입니다. 그들이 예루살렘을 나누면 그 날에 이스라엘의 하나님께서 어떤 일을 행하실지 상상도 하지 못하는 소경들인 것입니다.

      하나님께서는 선지자 스카랴를 통하여 말씀하셨습니다:

 “이는 만군의 주가 이같이 말함이라. 그 영광 후에 그가 너희를 약탈한 민족들에게 나를 보내셨나니, 이는 너희를 손대는 자가 그의 눈동자를 손대는 것이기 때문이라….그 날에 내가 예루살렘을 모든 백성에게 무거운 돌이 되게 하리라. 비록 세상의 모든 백성이 그것을 치려고 함께 모일지라도, 그 돌을 드는 자들은 산산이 부서지리라. 주가 말하노라. 그 날에 내가 모든 말을 쳐서 놀라게 하고 그 탄 자를 쳐서 격노하게 하리라. 또 내가 유다 집 위에 내 눈을 떠 백성의 말을 쳐서 눈멀게 하리라.” (슥 2:8; 12:3,4)

         지금 온 세계 민족들은 무거운 돌처럼 예루살렘 동편을 차지하고 있는 이스라엘 백성들을 지면에서 없애버리려고 다시 연합하고 있는 것입니다. 앞으로 대환란 때에 마지막으로 적그리스도를 통하여 이 일을 이루려고 모든 민족이 예루살렘을 에워싸게 될 것을 선지자 스카랴를 통하여 말씀하셨고 바로 그 때에 주님께서 재림하셔서 모든 이방 민족들을 아마겟돈에서 심판하실 것이라고 말씀하셨습니다:

 “보라, 주의 날이 오나니, 네 약탈물이 네 가운데서 나뉘리라. 내가 모든 민족들을 모아 예루살렘을 대적하여 싸우게 하리라. 성읍은 함락되고 집들은 강탈당하며 여자들이 욕을 당하고, 성읍의 절반이 사로잡혀갈 것이나 백성의 나머지는 성읍에서 끊어지지 아니하리라. 그때에 주께서 나가 그 민족들을 대적하여 싸우시리니, 전쟁의 날에 싸우셨을 때처럼 하시리라. 그의 발이 그 날에 예루살렘 앞 동편에 있는 올리브 산 위에 서시리니, 올리브 산은 그 중간이 동쪽과 서쪽으로 갈라져 큰 골짜기가 생길 것이며, 산의 절반은 북쪽으로 산의 절반은 남쪽으로 옮겨지리라. 너희는 산들의 골짜기로 도망하리니, 이는 산들의 골짜기가 아살까지 미칠 것임이라. 정녕 너희가 도망하리니, 마치 유다의 웃시이왕의 시대에 너희가 지진 앞에서 도망했던 것과 같으리라. 주 나의 하나님께서 오시리니, 모든 성도들이 주와 함께하리이다…주께서는 온 땅을 치리할 왕이 되시리니, 그 날에는 한 분 주께서 계실 것이며, 그의 이름 하나만 있으리라.”(슥 14:1-5,9)

        사도 바울은 이 모든 예언의 말씀들을 자세하게 알기에 주님을 기다리는 데살로니가 교회 성도들에게 휴거에 대한 말씀을 주셨습니다. 또한 마지막 때에 교회들이 세상에 취해서 영적인 잠을 자게 될 것을 경고하면서 거듭난 데살로니가 교회 성도들은 하나님의 진노로부터 구원을 받은 자들이라고 증거했습니다. 그리고  오늘날 깨어서 주의 일을 하는 거듭난 성도들에게 다시 한 번 대 환란 전에 휴거의 날이 올 것을 증거한 것입니다: “이는 하나님께서 우리가 진노를 받도록  정해 놓으신 것이 아니라 우리 주 예수 그리스도를 통하여 구원을 받게 하셨기 때문이라.”(살전 5:9)

        이미 교회의 배교가 극에 달하였고 예루살렘을 나누기 위하여 온 나라들이 UN의 지휘 아래 함께 모여 있는 것을 봅니다. 그러나 우리 바로 앞 가까운 장래에 우리 모두에게 나타날 그리스도의 날(휴거의 날)의 소망이 있는 것입니다. 그러므로 우리는 사도 바울이 성령 안에서 권면한 것처럼  우리는 마땅히 교회 안에서 가르치는 자나 배우는 자 모두가 하나가 되어 화목하면서 무질서한 사람을 훈계하며 낙담한 자들을 위로하며 약한 자들을 붙들어주며 모든 사람들에게 오래 참으며, 아무에게도 악으로 악을 갚지 말고, 오히려 항상 선한 것을 따르는 삶을 살아야 하는 것입니다. 또한 이 때문에 항상 기뻐하며, 쉬지 말고 기도하면서 모든 일에 감사하는 삶을 살면서 하나님의 뜻을 이루어야 하는 것입니다.. 또한 항상 성령으로 충만함으로써 모든 예언의 말씀들을 멸시하지 말고 모든 악으로부터 나와 선한 것을 붙잡아야 하는 것입니다. 이 말씀들은 오늘날 우리들까지 미리 보시면서 주시는 성령님의 음성이기 때문인 것입니다. 아멘! 할렐루야!

Meditation of the week: Psalms 121: 1-8

Main scripture: 1Thesslonians 5:1-28

Subject: The life of Christian that is looking forward the day of Christ(Rapture)

     In the main passage, Apostle Paul is writing a letter unto the saints in the church of Thessalonians that are persecuted , and looking forward the day of Christ(the day of Rapture). He is giving  the same message unto the born again church of God. He is giving a secrete message of the churches that are to be in spiritual sleep following the lust of the world right before the day of Christ to come.

        IN the message given unto Apostle John, the Lord Jesus spoke unto the church of Laodicea:

“ I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot.

So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.

Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked:

I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see.

As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent.

Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.”(Rev. 3:15-20)

          The Lord Jesus showed them the apostasy of the churches in the last days.  Apostle Paul taught unto the saints of Thessalonians of the time frame of the day of Rapture, for they were waiting  for that day:

  “That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand. Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition.”(2Thes. 2:2,3)

            The Lord Jesus is warning unto the carnal Christians that are to say “Peace and Safety” and to live in spiritual nakedness, and to see the day all of sudden. Peace means a temporal world peace to come, and safety means also temporal economic abundance right before the day of Christ.

        The Lord Jesus spoke unto the disciples regarding the time when he shall be at the door:

“Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh:

So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors.

Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled.

Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.”(Matt. 24:32-35)

         Jesus continued to speak unto them of the day of his second coming to the earth:

“But as the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.

For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark,

And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.”(Matt. 24:37-39)

In the book of Luke, he said, so likewise ye, when ye see these things come to pass, know ye that the kingdom of God is nigh at hand.(Luke 21:31)

         We already know the time difference between the day of Rapture to take his bride home in heaven  and the day of his second coming to judge the world as seven years so. We have to figure out the time of his coming through the words of God, and be sober, and putting on the breastplate of faith and love; and for an helmet, the hope of salvation looking forward the day.

        The LORD God prophesied through his prophets of the things to happen in  the day of Jacob’s trouble, the Great Tribulation  before he judge the Gentile nations:

“For, behold, in those days, and in that time, when I shall bring again the captivity of Judah and Jerusalem,

I will also gather all nations, and will bring them down into the valley of Jehoshaphat, and will plead with them there for my people and for my heritage Israel, whom they have scattered among the nations, and parted my land.”(Joel 3:1,2)

In AD 70, Titus of Roman general devastated Jerusalem, and cast out the people of Israel from the land of Palestine to scatter them to the world as well known in the history. They had lost their nation almost 2000 years, and had been persecuted and humiliated by all the nations of people.

        In the divine providence, miraculously, Jewish people returned to their homeland to establish their independent nation of Israel on May 14, 1948; and finally the branch of the fig tree became to be tendered as Jesus said unto his disciples. Through the victory in the six day war, they reoccupied the eastern part of Jerusalem that is the half of it; this signals us the time of the Gentiles is nigh, and also the kingdom of heaven is to come in Israel. Jesus mentioned about the time of the Gentiles:

“And they shall fall by the edge of the sword, and shall be led away captive into all nations: and Jerusalem shall be trodden down of the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled.”(Luke 21:24)

       But, now, again, the thing that was prophesied by prophet Joel is going to happen before us sooner or later. Almost al nations are united with UN to threat Israel to part Jerusalem. Even America that has been helping Israel becomes to be in the same side with Palestine saying, no peace deal shall be done without giving up Jerusalem. They misunderstand and are doing foolish thing saying, there shall be world peace, if Israel gives up Jerusalem. They are blinded not imagine at all what kind of thing shall be done by God of Israel in the day when they part Jerusalem.

        The LORD God spoke through prophet Zechariah:

 “For thus saith the Lord of hosts; After the glory hath he sent me unto the nations which spoiled you: for he that toucheth you toucheth the apple of his eye.

….. And in that day will I make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all people: all that burden themselves with it shall be cut in pieces, though all the people of the earth be gathered together against it.

4In that day, saith the Lord, I will smite every horse with astonishment, and his rider with madness: and I will open mine eyes upon the house of Judah, and will smite every horse of the people with blindness.”(Zech. 2:8; 12:3,4)

        Now, all the nations are united again to move a burdensome stone that is Israel from the land of Jerusalem. The LORD God spoke through prophet Zechariah of the Anti Christ in the Great Tribulation that will make all the nations to surround Jerusalem to sweep Israel away from the earth; and also he spoke, at that moment, he will come again to judge them in Armageddon:

“Behold, the day of the Lord cometh, and thy spoil shall be divided in the midst of thee.

For I will gather all nations against Jerusalem to battle; and the city shall be taken, and the houses rifled, and the women ravished; and half of the city shall go forth into captivity, and the residue of the people shall not be cut off from the city.

Then shall the Lord go forth, and fight against those nations, as when he fought in the day of battle.

And his feet shall stand in that day upon the mount of Olives, which is before Jerusalem on the east, and the mount of Olives shall cleave in the midst thereof toward the east and toward the west, and there shall be a very great valley; and half of the mountain shall remove toward the north, and half of it toward the south.

And ye shall flee to the valley of the mountains; for the valley of the mountains shall reach unto Azal: yea, ye shall flee, like as ye fled from before the earthquake in the days of Uzziah king of Judah: and the Lord my God shall come, and all the saints with thee….. 9And the Lord shall be king over all the earth: in that day shall there be one Lord, and his name one.”(Zech. 14:1-5,9)

        Knowing all these prophesies in details, Apostle Paul gave the message of the Rapture unto the saints of Thessalonians; and he warned, the churches shall be in spiritual sleep drunken by the lust of the world. He also testified unto the born again churches that are doing the work of the Lord saying, they shall be raptured before the Great Tribulation comes:

“For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ,”(1Thes. 5:9)

        The apostasy of the churches is at the highest level already as we know; and all nations are gathering together to part Jerusalem under the flag of UN.  But before our eyes, we have the hope of the day of Christ. Therefore, as Apostle Paul encouraged in the Spirit, we have to be one harmonized in the Spirit whether the ones that teach or the ones that are taught; we have to warn them that are unruly; and comfort the feeble minded; and support the weak; and be patient toward all men; none render evil for evil unto any man; but ever follow that which is good among all men. Because of the hope before us, we are supposed to rejoice always; and pray continually; and give thanks in every thing to do the will of God. We have to be full of the Spirit, and not quench the Spirit, and not despise all the words of prophesying, and prove all things, and hold fast that which is good. All these words are the voice of the Holy Ghost that shows us what to happen before us. Amen! Hallelujah!
