금주의 묵상: 시편 147:1-20

본문: 이사야 43:18-21

제목: 하나님께서 행하시는 두 가지 새 일들(New Things)

        하나님께서는 범죄한 이스라엘을 징계하시고 회복하시기 전에 자신의 영광을 다른 자에게 주지 아니하시고, 자신의 찬양을 새긴 형상인 우상에게 주지 아니하신다고 말씀하셨습니다. 하니님께서는 그들에게 새 일들을 행하실 것을 선포하셨습니다. 그 새 일들에 대하여 하나님께서는 미리 말씀하셨습니다. 또한 그 새 일이 이루어질 때에 모든 백성들이 새 노래로 주께 노래하게 하며 그들로 땅끝에서부터 그를 찬양하라고 말씀하셨습니다. 또한 그들로 주께 영광을 돌리며 섬들 안에서 그의 찬양을 선포하게 하라고 말씀하셨습니다(사 42:9-12)

        그러나 그들이 하나님께서 행하실 새 일들을 보기 전에 그들이 범한 죄들로 인하여 징계를 받을 것을 미리 말씀하셨습니다. 그들이 징게를 받을 때에 낙심하지 않게 하기 위하여 미리 새 일을 말씀하신 것입니다. 그 동안 하나님께서 오랫동안 조용하고 잠잠했으며 조용히 하여 스스로 자제하셨으나 이제부터는 산고를 겪는 여인처럼 부르짖을 것이며 즉시 파괴시킬 것이라고 말씀하셨습니다. 하나님께서 산들과 작은 산들을 황폐케 할 것이며 그들의 모든 초목을 마르게 할 것이요, 강들을 섬들이 되게 할 것이며 못들을 마르게 하시겠다고 말씀하셨습니다 (사 42:14,15).

        또한 하나님께서는 그들이 알지 못했던 작은 산들로 인도하셔서 그들 앞에 어두움을 빛으로 만들며 굽은 것들을 곧게 할것이며 그들을 버리지는 않을 것이라고 말씀하셨습니다. 그때에 그들이 돌아서게 되며 크게 수치를 당할 것인 바 그들이 새긴 형상을 신뢰하고 부어 만든 형상에 말하기를 “너희가 우리의 신들이라.”하였기 때문이라고 말씀하셨습니다. 하나님께서는 그들을 향하여 “너희 귀머거리들아, 들으라. 너희 소경들아, 보라. 너희가 볼 수 있으리라.”고 말씀하셨습니다(사 42:16-18).

        마침내 하나님께서는 범죄한 이스라엘을 징계하신 후 그들을 회복하시기 위하여 그들에게 마침내 말씀하셨습니다: “너희는 이전 일들을 기억하지 말며, 옛날 일들을 생각하지 말라. 보라 내가 새 일을 행하리니 이제 나타나리라. 너희가 그것을 알지 못하였느냐? 내가 정녕 광야에 길을, 사막에 강들을 내리라. 들의 짐승이 나를 존경할 것이요, 용들과 올빼미들도 그러하리라. 이는 내가 광야에 물들을, 사막에 강들을 주어 나의 백성, 나의 택한 자로 마시게 할 것임이라. 이 백성은 내가 나를 위하여 조성하였나니 그들이 나의 찬양을 나타내 보이리라.”(사 43:18-21)

        하나님께서는 자신이 행하실 새 일들에 대하여 다시 한 번 이스라엘에게 상기시키셨습니다: “내가 처름부터 이전 일들을 선포하였고 그 일들이 내 입에서 나갔으며, 내가 그 일들을 보여 주었고 갑자기 행하여 그 일들을 이루었느니라. 이는 네가 완고하며 네 목은 쇠 근육이요 네 이마는 놋쇠임을 내가 알았기 때문이라. 나는 처음부터 그 일을 네게 선포하였으니 그 일이 일어나기 전에 내가 그것을 네게 보여주었느니라. 그렇지 않았다면 네가 말하기를 ‘나의 우상이 그 일을 행했으며, 나의 새긴 형상과 주조한 형상이 그들에게 명하였다.’ 하였으리라. 네가 들었으니 이 모든 일을 보라. 그런데도 너희가 그것을 선포하지 않겠느냐? 내가 이제부터 새 일들, 즉 네가 알지 못했던 감추어진 일들을 네게 보이노라. 그것들은 처음부터 있지 아니하고 이제 창조된 것이니 즉 그 날 이전에는 네가 그것들을 듣지 못하였던 것이라. 그렇지 않았다면 너는 보라, 내가 그 일들을 알았노라.’ 말하였으리라. 정녕 너는 듣지 못하였고, 정녕 네게 알지도 못하였으며, 정녕 그 때로부터 네 귀는 열리지도 못하였나니 이는 네가 심히 패역하여 모태에서부터 행악자라 불린 줄 내가 알았음이라.”(사 48:3-8)

              하나님께서는 택한 백성 이스라엘을 징계하시고 연단하시어 순금처럼 나오게 하셔서 그들을 회복된 그들의 약속의 땅으로 인도하시는 일을 새 일이라 말씀하시고 그들로 하여금 잊지 말라고 여러 번에 걸쳐 말씀하신 것입니다. 하나님께서는 앞으로 있을 대 환란을 통하여 그들을 욥을 연단하신 것처럼 연단하셔서 남은 자들로 하여금 아브라힘에게 주신 약속의 땅을 회복하시고 마침내 그들을 인도하시겠다고 말씀하신 것입니다. 하나님께서는 그들을 이 지구상에 있는 모든 민족들의 머리가 되게 하셔서 제사장 민족으로 삼으실 것을 정하셨기에 그들을 그처럼 처절하게 수천 년 동안 연단하신 것입니다.

        하나님께서는 이스라엘을 위하여 새 일들을 행하실 때 그들이 그들의 메시야이신 주 예수 그리스도와 함께 그분의 왕국에서 누리게 될 축복에 대하여 선지자 이사야를 통하여 미리 말씀하셨습니다:

“광야의 메마른 곳이 그들을 기뻐하고, 사막이 기뻐하며 장미처럼 피리라. 그것이 무성하게 피어 기쁨과 노래로 즐거워할 것이요, 레바논의 영광, 곧 칼멜과 샤론의 아름다움이 그것에게 주어지리라. 그들이 주의 영광과 우리 하나님의 아름다움을 보리로다.”(사 35:1,2)

        뿐만 아니라, 하나님께서는 이 지구를 창조하시기도 전에 그리스도 안에서 택함을 받은 자들로 하여금 그리스도의 피로 모든 죄들을 정결케 하시고 하나님의 백성이 아닌 하나님의 자녀들로 입양할 것을 예정하시고 지난 이천 년 동안 성령으로 거듭난 자녀들을 하나님의 교회가 되게 하셔서 그리스도의 신부로 삼으시고 그리스도와 함께 한 공동상속자들이 되게 하시려고 엄청난 연단을 해 오셨습니다.

      그럼에도 불구하고 하나님의 교회 역시 옛날 이스라엘처럼 영적으로 타락하게 된 것입니다. 하나님께서는 타락한 마지막 때의 교회들을 향하여 사도 요한을 통하여 말씀하셨습니다: “내가 네 행위를 아노니 네가 차지도 아니하고 덥지도 아니하도다. 나는 네가 차든지 덥든지 하기를 원히노라. 네가 그처럼 미지근하여 차지도 아니하고 덥지도 아니하기 때문에 내가 너를 내 입에서 토해 내겠노라. 네가 말하기를 ‘나는 부자며, 부요하고, 아무 것도 부족한 것이 없다.’고 하지만 너는 비참하고, 가련하며, 가난하고, 눈멀고, 헐벗은 것을 알지 못하는도다. 내가 너에게 권고하노니 내게서 불로 단련된 금을 사서 입음으로 너의 벌거벗은 수치를 드러내지 않게 하며, 또 안약을 네 눈에 발라 보게 하라. 내가 사랑하는 자마다 책망하고 징계하노니 그러므로 열심을 내고 회개하라. 보라, 내가 문 앞에서서 두드리노라. 누구든지 내 음성을 듣고 그 분을 열면 내가 그에게로 들어가서 그와 함께 먹으며 그도 나와 함께 먹으리라.”(계 3:15-20)

          주 에수 그리스도께서는 회개하고 이기는 자들에게 자신의 보좌에 자신과 함께 앉을 자격을 주시겠다고 말씀하셨습니다. 또한, 귀있는 자는 성령께서 교회들에게 말씀하시는 것을 들어야 한다고 말씀하셨습니다. 다시 말해서 사도 바울이 증거한 것처럼 그리스도와 함께 한 공동상속자들로서 그분의 왕국에서 함께 모든 민족들을 통치하는 축복을 주시겠다고 약속하신 것입니다. 이스라엘을 위해서는 이 땅에 새 일을 행하시고 하나님의 자녀들을 위해서는 하늘과 땅에서 그들을 위하여 새 일을 행하시는 것입니다.

      하나님의 모든 계획이 마무리지어지는 이 마지막 때에 살고 있는 수많은 민족들이 마치 얼음이 얼어붙은 것처럼 마음이 얼어 있어서 하나님의 말씀들을 거부하는 것을 봅니다. 심지어는 하나님의 교회들마저도 하나님의 말씀들을 거부하고 에수께서 유대인들에게 말씀하신 세상 신인 재물(mammon)을 섬기면서도 탐심우상(골 3:5)을 섬기는 것인지 분별하지 못하는 세대가 되었습니다.

      그러나 하나님께서 이스라엘 백성들 역시 하나님께서 행하시는 새 일들을 알지 못하여 여러 번 그들에게 상기시키시면서 마침내 그 새일들을 이루시는 것에 대하여 옛날 시편 기자는 하나님께서 행하실 새 일들에 대하여 증거했습니다: “그가 양털 같은 눈을 내리시고 하얀 서리를 재같이 흩으시며 얼음을 부스러기같이 뿌리시니 그의 추위 앞에 누가 설 수 있으리요? 그가 그의 말씀을 보내셔서 그것들을 녹이시고 그의 바람을 불게 하시니 물이 되어 흐르게 하시는도다.”(시 147:16-18)

        그렇습니다. 하나님께서는 징계받은 이스라엘을 회복하시고 그들이 그리스도의 왕국에서 영원히 살게 될 약속의 땅을 에덴동산처럼 회복하실 것입니다. 또한 엣날 이스라엘처럼 배교한 라오디게아 교회들을 징계하신 후 회개케 하시어 광야같고 사막같이 황폐한 하나님의 자녀들의 마음 속에 길을 내시고 생명수로 다시 채우시는 새 일을 하실 것입니다.

        우리가 흙도가니에서 일곱번 정화된(시 12:6) 하나님의 순수한 말씀을 받았으니, 믿음으로 우리에게 주신 말씀들을 온 땅에 전파할 때에 바람같은 성령의 역사하심을 통하여 얼어붙은 사람들의 마음을 녹이시고 얼음이 녹아 광야같은 사람들의 마음 속에서 생수가 되어 물처럼 흐르게 될 것입니다. 이 말씀을 믿음으로 받아 주의 말씀들을 우리가 살고 있는 도성으로부터 온 세상으로 전파하여 얼어붙은 마음들을 말씀으로 녹이시는 하나님의 새 일에 동참하는 축복이 우리 모두에게 있기를 바라는 것입니다. 아멘! 할렐루야!

Meditation of the week: Psalms 147:1-20)

Subject: Two kinds of the new things to be done by God

        The LORD God said, “My glory will I not give to another, neither my praise to graven images.” before he restore the Israel that sinned against him after they are chastened by God. God declared unto them to do new things for them. Of the new things, God had said unto them in advance saying they shall sing a new song unto the LORD, and his praise from the end of the earth. And he also said, “Let them give glory unto the LORD, and declare his praise in the islands.” (Isa. 42:9-12)

        The LORD God said unto them in advance, they shall be chastened because of their sins, before they shall see the new things. For them not to be discouraged when they are chastened, God spoke unto them in advance of the new things for them. The LORD God had long time held his peace, and he had been still, and refrained himself. Finally, God said unto them, he will cry like travailing woman; and he will destroy and devour them at once. He also said, he will make waste mountains and hills, and dry up all their herbs; and he will make the rivers islands, and he will dry up pools (Isa. 42:14,15).

        Not only this, he will lead them in paths that they have not known; and he will make darkness light before them, and crooked things straight. But the LORD God added a very important message, saying “These things will I do unto them, and not forsake them.” Then, they shall be turned back, they shall be greatly ashamed, that trust in graven images, that say to the molten images, “Ye are our gods.” God spoke unto them, saying, “Hear, ye deaf; and look, ye blind, that ye may see.” (Isa. 42:16-18)

        Finally, the LORD God spoke unto Israel to restore them again, after he chasten sinful Israel::

 “Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old.

Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.

The beast of the field shall honour me, the dragons and the owls: because I give waters in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert, to give drink to my people, my chosen.

This people have I formed for myself; they shall shew forth my praise.”(Isa. 43:18-18)

        The LORD God reminded Israel again of the new things saying,

 “ I have declared the former things from the beginning; and they went forth out of my mouth, and I shewed them; I did them suddenly, and they came to pass.

Because I knew that thou art obstinate, and thy neck is an iron sinew, and thy brow brass;

I have even from the beginning declared it to thee; before it came to pass I shewed it thee: lest thou shouldest say, Mine idol hath done them, and my graven image, and my molten image, hath commanded them.

Thou hast heard, see all this; and will not ye declare it? I have shewed thee new things from this time, even hidden things, and thou didst not know them.

They are created now, and not from the beginning; even before the day when thou heardest them not; lest thou shouldest say, Behold, I knew them.

Yea, thou heardest not; yea, thou knewest not; yea, from that time that thine ea

was not opened: for I knew that thou wouldest deal very treacherously, and wast called a transgressor from the womb.(Isa. 48:3-8)

        The LORD God explained about the new things; after God chasten them and try them for them to be pure gold coming out of furnace so that he may lead them to the promised land that is to be restored for them. It was the reason why God reminded them of the new things again and again repeatedly for them not to forget. The LORD God foresaw them passing through the Great Tribulation to be tried as Job was so that the remnant of Israel may be able to enter the promised land to be restored that was given unto Abraham as the covenant. The LORD God had decided to make them the head of all the nations in the earth; this is the reason why God has tried them for thousands of years so much severely.

        The LORD God had spoken through prophet Isaiah of the blessing in the kingdom of their Messiah, the Lord Jesus Christ. when God doses the new thing for Israel:

 “The wilderness and the solitary place shall be glad for them; and the desert shall rejoice, and blossom as the rose.

It shall blossom abundantly, and rejoice even with joy and singing: the glory of Lebanon shall be given unto it, the excellency of Carmel and Sharon, they shall see the glory of the Lord, and the excellency of our God.”(Isa. 35:1,2)

        God, before the foundation of the world, had predestined the chosen people in Christ to be adopted as the children of God different form the people of Israel through taking away their sins by the blood of Christ Jesus; and made them the church of God as well as the bride of Christ to make them as the joint-heir with Christ. To make his will for them fulfilled, God has been trying them also severely for last two thousand years.

      But, unfortunately, even the church of God has been falling away as Israel has done; God spoke unto the churches in the last days through Apostle John:

 “I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot.

So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.

Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked:

I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see.

As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent.

Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any

man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.”(Rev. 3:15-20)

        The Lord Jesus Christ spoke unto the angel of the church of Laodiceans, “To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am st down with my Father in his throne. He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.” In other word, as Apostle Paul testified, he promised the church of God to give the blessing of reigning over all the nations with Christ in his kingdom as the joint-heir with Christ. The first new things are to be done for Israel in the earth; and the second new things shall be done for the church of God in heaven as well as in the earth.

        Nowadays, we see, all the nations of people are rejecting the words of God, for their heart are frozen to be hardened. Even the churches of God are worshipping the gods of the world that is mammon as Jesus said unto the Jews rejecting the words of God not understanding, they are committing idolatry.

        As the LORD God reminded unto Israel repeatedly of the new things, for Israel were not be aware of them; and he will make the new things for them come to pass, The psalmist testified of this:

 “He giveth snow like wool: he scattereth the hoarfrost like ashes.

He casteth forth his ice like morsels: who can stand before his cold?

He sendeth out his word, and melteth them: he causeth his wind to blow, and the waters flow.”(Ps. 147:16-18)

          Yeah! The LORD God will restore Israel that has been chastened, and he will restore the promised land where they shall dwell in the kingdom of Christ as the Garden of Eden. And he also will do the new things for the churches of God making the way and filling the living water in the heart of the children of God as wilderness and desert, after God chasten the churches that fall away as the church of Laodicean as Israel did.

        Now, we have received the pure words of God as the silver tried in a furnace of earth purified seven times (Ps. 12:6), the words of God shall melt the heart of men frozen through the Holy Spirit as wind blows so that waters shall flow out of them, when we preach the words of God by faith. Receiving this word by faith, let us participate in the new things of God that will melt the frozen hearts beginning from the city where we live unto the all the earth! Amen! Hallelujah!
