금주의 묵상: 시편 19:1-14

본문: 시편 56:1-13

제목: 하나님의 약속의 말씀을 찬양하며 살고 있는가?

        다윗왕은 원수들이 그를 날마다 삼키려하며 그와 대항하여 싸우려하는 상황 속에서 두려움 가운데 주 하나님을 신뢰하면서 “하나님 안에서 내가 주의 말씀을 찬양하리니 내가 나의 신뢰를 하나님께 두나이다”라고 고백했습니다. 또한 그가 하나님께 부르짖을 때마다 하나님께서 그의 원수들을 물러가게 하심을 알고 “하나님 안에서 내가 주의 말씀을 찬양하리니 주 안에서 내가 주의 말씀을 찬양하리이다.”라고 고백했습니다.

        그는 그의 일생 동안 하나님의 말씀을 찬양함으로 자신을 지켜주신 하나님의 말씀을 찬양하는 시를 하나님께 드렸습니다. 시편 여러 곳에도 나타나 있지만 특히 시편 119편에서 그는 하나님의 말씀을 찬양하는 기도의 시를 많이 썼습니다. “주의 법 안에서 행하여 그 길에서 더럽혀지지 않은 자들은 복이 있도다.(시 119:1)” “청년이 무엇으로 자기 길을 정결케 하리이까? 주의 말씀을 따라 조심할 것이니이다.(시 119: 9)” “주의 말씀을 내 마음에 간직하였으니 이는 내가 주께 범죄치 아니하려 함이니이다.”(시 119:11) “내 혼이 진토에 붙어 있으니 주의 말씀대로 나를 소생시키소서.(시 119:25)” “이 말씀은 나의 고난 중에 나의 위로가 되었으니 이는 주의 말씀이 나를 소생시키셨음이니이다.(시 119:50)” “나의 혼이 주의 구원을 갈망하여 기진 하오나 나는 주의 말씀을 바라나이다.(시 119:81)” “주의 말씀은 내 발에 등이요 내 길에 빛이니이다.”(시 119:105) “주의 증거들이 경이로우므로 내 혼이 그것들을 지키나이다.”(시 119:129) “주의 말씀들이 내 입맛에 어찌 그리 단지요! 정녕 내 입에 꿀보다 더 다나이다.”(시 119:103)

        어떻게 다윗왕은 하나님을 신뢰하면서 하나님의 말씀을 찬양하는 삶을 살았을까요? 그는 성령 안에서 사도 요한이 깨달았던 것을 미리 알았던 것입니다. 그는 태초부터 계시던 하나님이 말씀이신 것을 알았던 것입니다. 다시 말해서 하나님을 신뢰하는 것이 막연하게 믿는 것이 아니라 그분의 말씀을 믿고 찬양하는 것이라고 깨달았던 것입니다. 사람이 죽음의 골짜기를 지날 때 어느누구도 구원해 줄 수 없는 것입니다. 도와줄 하나님도 볼 수 없는 것입니다. 다윗왕은 그의 원수들이 그를 죽이려하는 사망의 골짜기를 지나면서 하나님의 말씀이 바로 하나님이시며 그 말씀이 자신을 지켜주시는 것을 깨닫고 그 말씀을 신뢰했을 때 그 말씀이 그를 구해주셨다고 간증한 것입니다.

        바울과 바나바가 유대인들에게 복음을 전했을 때 그들이 하나님의 말씀을 외면하는 것을 보고 이방인에게로 간다고 선포했습니다. 그들은 하나님 말씀이신 주 예수 그리스도를 죽인 자들이니 하나님의 말씀을 외면하는 것이 당연했습니다. 바울과 바나바는 그들에게 주신 하나님의 말씀을 기억했습니다. “내가 너를 이방인의 빛으로 세웠으니 너는 땅 끝까지 구원을 베풀라.” 그들이 이 말씀에 순종하여 이방인들에게 복음을 전했을 때, 이방인들이 이 말씀을 듣자 기뻐하며 주의 말씀을 찬양하였고 영원한 생명을 얻기로 정해진 자들은 다 믿게 되었습니다(행 13:46-48). 그리하여 주의 말씀이 온 지역에 퍼지게 되었습니다 (행 13:49).

그렇습니다. 이 세상에 태어난 모든 사람들은 이 험한 세상을 살아갈 때 하나님 외에는 믿고 의지할 사람이 아무도 없습니다. 이 사실을 깨달은 솔로몬왕은 그의 잠언에서 “사람을 두려워하면 덫에 걸리나, 주를 신뢰하는 자는 안전하리라.”(잠 29:25)고 증거한 것입니다.

      그렇습니다. 그 당시 하나님도 모르고, 왜 세상에 태어났는지도 모르고 어디로 가는지도 모르며 고통 속에서 살고 있던 이방인들에게 그리스도의 은혜의 복음을 전했을 때 그들은 비로소 창조주 하나님이 계신 것과 태초에 말씀으로 계셨고 하나님이신 분께서 율법도 모르는 버림받은 이방인들을 위하여 사람이 되셔서 그들의 모든 죄들을 구속하시려고 죽으시고 장사되셨다가 부활하신 사실을 깨달았을 때 그들은 비로소 영원한 생명을 받아 산 소망을 갖게 되었던 것입니다. 이때에 그들이 말씀이신 하나님을 찬양하게 된 것은 너무도 당연한 일이었던 것입니다.

      사도 베드로는 죄인들이 거듭남에 대하여 “너희가 가듭난 것은 썩어질 씨로 된 것이 아니라 썩지 아니할 씨로 된 것이니 살아 있고 영원히 거하는 하나님의 말씀으로 되었느니라.. 이는 모든 육체는 풀과 같고 사람의 모든 영광은 풀의 꽃과 같으며, 풀은 마르고 꽃은 져도 주의 말씀은 영원토록 남아 있음이라. 이것이 너희에게 복음으로 전해진 말씀이니라”(밷전 1:23-25)고 증거하면서 하나님의 말씀을 찬양했습니다. 또한 복음으로 전해진 하나님의 말씀이신 주 예수 그리스도의 은혜의 복음이 바로 생명을 주신 것이라고 증거했습니다.

        사도 요한은 이 땅에 다시 오시는 주 예수 그리스도의 모습을 보고 증거했습니다: “그의 눈은 불꽃같고 머리에는 많은 왕관이 있고 또 한 이름이 기록되어 있는데 그 자신 외에는 아무도 모르며 피에 적신 옷을 입었는데 그의 이름은 하나님의 말씀이라고 불리더라.”(계 19:12,13) 그렇습니다. 인류역사 육천 년 동안 그의 말씀으로 자신의 사람들을 지켜주셨던 창조주 하나님께서 이제 몸소 이 땅에 오셔서 자신을 믿지 않은 모든 악한 자들을 심판하시고 자신 스스로가 온 땅에 왕이 되셔서 더 이상 악한 자들이 의인들을 대항하여 괴롭히지 못하도록 하시는 것입니다.

          그러므로 사도 바울은 세상을 떠나기 전에 목회자 디모데에게 하나님의 말씀을 전파해야 함에 대하여 아주 강한 메세지를 주었습니다: “그러므로 내가 하나님과 주 예수 그리스도, 곧 그가 나타나실 때와 그의 왕국에서 산 자들과 죽은 자들을 심판하실 분 앞에서 네게 명하노니. 너는 말씀을 전파하라. 때를 얻든지 못 얻든지 항상 대비하라. 모든 오래 참음과 교리로 견책하고 책망하며 권고하라. 때가 이르리니 사람들이 건전한 교리를 견디지 못하고, 그들 자신의 정욕에 따라 가려운 귀를 즐겁게 해줄 선생들을 많이 두리라. 또한 그들이 귀를 진리에서 돌이켜 꾸며낸 이야기로 돌리리라. 그러나 너는 모든 일에 정신을 차리고, 고난을 견디며, 전도자의 일을 하고 네 직무를 완수하라.”(딤후 4:1-5)

        주님께서 공중에 나타나셔서 자신의 거듭난 교회를 하늘로 데려가실 때가 되면 더 이상 하나님의 말씀이신 주 예수 그리스도의 복음을 전할 수 없게 되는 것입니다. 또한 주님께서 세상에 만왕의 왕, 만주의 주로서 심판주로 나타나시서 그의 왕국을 이 땅에 세우시게 되면 더 이상 성령으로 거듭나서 영원한 생명을 받아 하나님의 자녀가 되는 기회가 영원히 없어지게 되는 것입니다. 그러므로 사도 바울은 주 예수 그리스도의 나타나시는 날, 즉 휴거의 날과 그분께서 지상재림 하시는 날, 즉 그분의 왕국을 세우시기 위하여 심판하시는 분 앞에서 디모데에게 명령한 것입니다. 다시 말해서 주님의 이름으로 명령한 것입니다. 말씀을 전파하지 않으면 어느 민족도 하나님의 말씀에 소망을 두고 구원받을 수 없기 때문이었습니다.

        부활하신 예수 그리스도께서도 열한 제자들에게 “하늘과 땅에 있는 모든 권세를 나에게 주셨도다. 그러므로 너희는 가서 모든 민족들을 가르치고, 아버지와 아들과 성령의 이름으로 침례를 주며 내가 너희에게 명령한 모든 것을 가르쳐 지키게 하라. 보라, 내가 세상 끝까지 너희와 항상 함께 있으리라.”(마 28:18-20) 명령하신 것입니다. 또한 승천하시기 직전에도 “그러나 성령께서 너희에게 임하시면 너희가 능력을 받으리니 그러면 예루살렘과 온 유대와 사마리아와 땅 끝까지 이르러 내게 증인이 되리라.”(행 1:8)고 말씀하셨습니다.

      그렇습니다. 우리가 수많은 종족들이 함께 모여 살고 있는 선교지 같은 아메리카 대륙에서 복음을 전파할 때에 그들 역시 하나님의 말씀을 찬양하는 것을 보게 되는 것입니다. 또한 영원한 생명을 얻기로 작정된 모든 사람들이 영원한 생명을 얻게되는 축복을 받게 되는 것입니다. 믿음으로 난 자들은 모두 아브라함의 자손이라(갈 3:7)고 사도 바울이 증거했습니다. 그러므로 믿음으로 난 사람들은 믿음이 있는 아브라함과 더불어 복을 받는 것입니다(갈 3:9). 하나님께서 아브라함에게 “네 안에서 땅의 모든 족속들이 복을 받을 것이라.”(창 12:3)고 약속하신 것처럼 하나님께서는 우리들을 통하여 아메리카 대륙에 있는 사람들에게 영원한 생명을 받게 하는 축복의 말씀을 주신 것입니다. 믿고 행하는 자에게 이 하나님의 말씀이 이루어지게 될 것이며 또한 하나님의 말씀을 찬양하는 축복의 삶을 살게 될 것입니다.

        에덴동산에 있던 이브를 찾아가서 하나님의 생명의 말씀을 변개하여 이 땅에 사망과 저주를 가져온 뱀인 사단은 1611년 최초로 영어로 번역된 하나님의 권위역본을 수없이 변개해 왔습니다. 이로 인하여 많은 사람들이 다른 예수, 다릉 복음을 받아들이게 하여 다른 영을 받게 했습니다. 우리에게는 변개되지 않은 순수한 하나님의 발씀을 주셨으니 더욱 더 하나님의 말씀을 찬양애야 할 이유가 있는 것입니다. 아멘! 할렐루야!

Meditation of the week: Psalms 19:1-14

Subject: Are you praising the word of God?

        King David trusted in the LORD God in the midst of his enemy that was going to swallow him up, and oppressed him daily. He confessed unto the LORD God saying, “In God I will praise his word, in God I have put my trust; I will not fear what flesh can do unto me.” And whenever he cried unto God, he knew that God let his enemies flee from him, and confessed unto him with thanksgiving: “In God will I praise his word: in the Lord will I praise his word.”

      He continued to praise the word of the LORD God, and submitted the psalms of praising his word giving thanks for his protection. His psalms of praising are in many psalms, but especially in Psalms 119 chapter, he wrote many psalms of praising the word of the LORD God:

“Blessed are the undefiled in the way, who walk in the law of the Lord.”(Ps. 119:1)

“Wherewithal shall a young man cleanse his way? by taking heed thereto according to thy word.”(Ps. 119:9)

“Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.”(Ps. 119:11)

“My soul cleaveth unto the dust: quicken thou me according to thy word.”(Ps. 119:25)

“This is my comfort in my affliction: for thy word hath quickened me.”(Ps. 119:50)

“My soul fainteth for thy salvation: but I hope in thy word.”(Ps. 119:81)

“Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.”(Ps. 119:105)

“Thy testimonies are wonderful: therefore doth my soul keep them.”(Ps. 119:129)

“How sweet are thy words unto my taste! yea, sweeter than honey to my mouth!”(Ps. 119:103)

        How King David could trusted in God, and praised the LORD God in his whole life? Because he had understood in the Holy Ghost that Apostle John understood. He knew of the Word in the beginning that is God. In other word, trusting in God is not to believe in him, but to trust in his word and to praise his word. When man passes through the valley of death, no one could deliver him at all. No one could see God physically for deliverance in the valley of death. Passing through the valley of death seeing his enemies killing him, he understood, the word of God is very God; and his word is the very one that protected him from his enemies; and he trusted in his words. He is testifying of the words of God that delivered him from his enemies.

        When Apostle Paul and Barnabas preached the gospel unto the Jews, they put it from them. And Paul and Barnabas declared unto them to turn to the Gentiles. It was natural that the Jews put the gospel away, for they had already killed their Christ. Paul and Barnabas remembered the word of God given unto them saying, “I have set thee to be a light of the Gentiles, that thou shouldest be for salvation unto the ends of the earth.”

Upon obeying this word, they preached the gospel unto the gentiles, the Gentiles heard this, they were glad, and glorified the word of the Lord; and as many as were ordained to eternal life believed (Acts 13:46-48). And the word of the Lord was published throughout all the region (Act 13:49).

Yea! It is true that no one could trust in other one in the midst of passing through perilous world, but the Lord God. King Solomon understood this truth, and testified saying,

“The fear of man bringeth a snare: but whoso putteth his trust in the Lord shall be safe”(Prov. 29:26).

        Yea! At that time, the Gentiles were living in the midst of suffering being ignorant of God as well as the reason why they were born in the world not knowing themselves come from and going to. Upon hearing the gospel of Christ of grace, they finally became to understand of God the Creator as the Word in the beginning as real God; they also understood, God became a man for the Gentiles that were forsaken long time being ignorant of the law of God; and he died for them to redeem their sins, and buried and rose again. Finally, they found out living hope through receiving the eternal life. Then, they praised the Lord God that is the Word; it is so natural when they did praise the words of God.

        Apostle Peter testified of the regeneration that is to born again of the Spirit; and he praised the word of the Lord saying, “Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever. For all flesh is as grass, and all the glory of man as the flower of grass. The grass withereth, and the flower thereof falleth away: But the word of the Lord endureth for ever. And this is the word which by the gospel is preached unto you.”(1Pet. 1:23-25) He also testified of the word of God saying, this is the word which by the gospel is preached unto them.

        Apostle John testified of the Lord Jesus Christ coming to the earth again saying, “His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself. And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God.”(Rev. 19:12,13)

Yea! For six thousand years of human history, God the Creator that has protected his people is coming back to the earth to judge the wicked that not believed on him; and he will be King of Kings and Lord of Lords so that no wicked can harass the righteous anymore at all.

        Therefore, Apostle Paul gave a very strong message unto his spiritual son, Timothy, a pastor of church of praching the word of God, before he departed the world saying,

“I charge thee therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom;

Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.

For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables. But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry.”(2Tim. 4:1-5)

        When the tome comes when the Lord Jesus Christ appears in the air to take his born again church home in heaven, there shall be no ore chance for us to preach the word of God anymore. Upon coming the kingdom of Christ in the earth coming with the Lord Jesus Christ as King of Kings and Lord of Lords, there shall be no chance anymore to be children of God through regeneration of spirit. This is the reason why Apostle Paul charged Timothy before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom. In other word, he commanded Timothy in the name of the Lord, for no nation of people could be saved in the hope of the word of God.

        After resurrection ,Jesus Christ gave the great commission unto the eleven disciples saying, “All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:

Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen”(Matt. 28:18-20)

Even just before he was lifted to heaven, he spoke unto them again saying, “But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.”(acts 1:8)

        Yea! When we preach the gospel in the continent of America as mission field where many nations of people are living together, we shall se them to praise the word of the Lord Jesus. And as many as ordained to eternal life believe. Apostle Paul testified, they which are of faith, the same are the children of Abraham(Gal. 3:7). So then they which be of faith are blessed with faithful Abraham (Gal. 3:9). As God promised unto Abraham saying, “In thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.”(Gen. 12:3), God has given his words unto us so that people living in America may be blessed to receive the eternal life through us. The word of God shall be fulfilled for them that believe his word and obey; and shall be praising the word of God with blessing of God.

        The serpent, the Statn visited Eve at the Garden Eden, and corrupted the word of God of life so that he brought forth death and curses unto the earth. And the servants of Satan have been corrupted the first Authorized Version in English(1611) continuously so that people may believe in differen Jesus and different gospel through receiving different spirit. Since we are given the pure word of God that is not corrupted at all, there is reason why we praise the word of God much more. Amen! Hallelujah!
