금주의 묵상: 시편 111:1-10

본문: 다니엘 7:9-14

제목: 두려움과 영광 가운데 오셔서 은밀한 모든 죄들을 심판하실 하나님

       정직하고 온전했던 욥은 “보라, 주를 두려워함이 곧 지혜요, 악에서 떠나는 것이 명철이니라.”(욥 28:28)고 증거했습니다. 하나님의 사람 다윗왕도 “오, 너희 성도들아, 주를 두려워하라. 그를 두려워하는 자들에게는 부족함이 없도다.”(시 34:9)라고 또한 “주를 두려워함이 지혜의 시작이라.”(시 111:10)고 증거했습니다. 또한 잠언 기자인 솔로몬왕도 “주를 두려워하는 것이 지식의 시작이거늘, 어리석은 자들은 지혜와 훈계를 멸시하느니라…이는 그들이 지식을 싫어하며 주를 두려워하기를 원치아니하였음이라.”(잠 1:7, 29)고 경고했습니다. 그는 또한 “주를 두려워하는 것은 악을 미워하는 것이라. 나는 교만과 오만, 악한 행실, 완고한 입을 미워하느니라.”(잠 8:13)고 증거했습니다. 그는 하나님을 제대로 알고 행해야 하는 것에 대하여, “주를 두려워하는 것이 지혜의 시작이요, 거룩한 이에 대한 지식은 명철이니라…주를 두려워하면 장수하려니와 악인의 연수는 짦아지리라.”(잠 9:10; 10:27)고 증거했습니다.

       솔로몬 왕은 말년에 헛된 일들에 빠지게 되어 방탕한 삶을 살다가 그가 생을 마감하게 되었을 때 자신의 모든 삶이 헛된 것을 깨닫고 그는 하나님을 모르고 그분을 두려워하지 않는 헛된 일을 행하는 세상을 향하여 “헛되고 헛되며 헛되고 헛되니 모든 것이 헛되도다. 사람이 해 아래에서 하는 그의 모든 수고에서 무슨 유익을 갖겠는가?….전체 일의 결론을 들을지니, 하나님을 두려워하고, 그의 계명들을 지키라. 이것이 사람의 의무니, 이는 하나님께서 선이든 악이든 모든 행위와 모든 은밀한 것들을 심판하실 것임이라.”(전 1:2,3; 12″13,14)고 그의 삶의 끝에서 증거했습니다.

        사도 바울도 사람들의 모든 은밀한 것들을 심판하실 날에 대하여 믿지 않는 이방인들을 향하여 증거했습니다: “율법이 없는 이방인들이 본성으로 율법에 있는 일들을 행할 때에는 율법이 없어도 이것들이 스스로에게 율법이 되나니 그들의 양심도 증거하고 그들의 이성이 송사하거나 서로 변명하여 그들의 마음에 기록된 율법의 행위를 보여주느니라. 이런 일은 나의 복음대로 예수 그리스도를 통하여 사람들의 은밀한 것들을 심판하실 그 날에 있으리라.”(롬 2:14-16)

      오늘 우리에게 주신 본문 다니엘 7:9-14에는 선지자 다니엘이 이 마지막 심판 때의 광경을 성령 안에서 미리보고 증거한 것입니다. 그는 하나님의 보좌들을 보았습니다. 그 보좌들 위에 옛날부터 계신 분이 앉아계셨으며, 그분의 옷은 눈같이 희고 그분의 머리털은 순전한 양모 같았습니다. 또한 그분의 보좌는 불타는 불꽃 같고 그 바퀴들은 타는 불 같았다고 증거했습니다. 또한 그분 앞에 불 같은 강이 흘러나오고 수백만 명이 그분을 섬기고 수천먼 명이 그분 앞에 섰는데, 심판이 준비되었고 그 책들이 펼쳐져 있었습니다. 또한 짐승(적그리스도)이 죽임을 당하고 그의 몸이 파멸되며 타는 불꽃에 던져지는 것을 보았습니다. 그는 또한 밤에 환상 가운데서 인자같은 분(주 예수 그리스도)이 하늘의 구름들과 함께 오셔서 옛날부터 계신 분께로 오셔서 그분에게 모든 백성과 민족들과 언어들리 그분을 섬기는 것을 보았으며 그분의 통치권과 그의 왕국(천년왕국)은 사라지지 않는 영원한 것으로 결코 멸망하지 않을 것이라고 증거했습니다.

      또한 다니엘처럼 바벨론에 포로 가운데 있었던 선지자 에스겔도 하늘에 있는 하나님의 보좌가 네려오는 것을 환상 가운데 보고 증거했습니다: “내가 보았더니, 보라, 북쪽에서 회오리바람과 큰 구름과 불덩어리가 나오는데 그 주위에 광채가 있으며 그 가운데 불 한 가운데서 나온 것은 황갈색 같더라. 또 그 가운데서 네 생물의 모습이 나오는데 그들의 생김새는 이러하더라. 그들은 사람의 모습을 가졌으며 각기 네 얼굴을 가졌고 각기 네 날개를 가졌더라….. 생물들의 모습을 보면 그들의 생김새는 숯불이 타는 것과 등들의 생김새 같으며 그 불이 그 생물들 사이에서 오르락내리락하도라. 그 불은 빛나며, 그 불에서는 번개가 나오더라. 그 생물들을 보니, 보라, 그 생물들 곁 땅 위에 한 바퀴가 있는데 네 얼굴과 함께 있더라….”(겔 1:4-6, 13,14,15)

      하나님께서는 다니엘과 에스겔뿐만 아니라 선지자 요엘에게도 주 예수 그리스도께서 불꽃 가운데 재림하시는 장면을 보여주셨습니다: “너희는 시온에서 나팔을 불고 내 거룩한 산에서 경고의 소리를 내어 그 땅의 모든 거민들로 떨게 하라. 이는 주의 날이 오며 그 날이 가까움이라. 흑암과 암영의 날, 구름과 짙은 어두움의 날이 산들 위에 펼쳐진 아침 같으니, 많고 강한 사람들이라. 이 같은 일은 전에도 없었고, 또 이후, 곧 많은 세대들의 연수에도까지도 다시 없으리라. 불이 그들 앞에서 삼키며 그들 뒤에서는 화염이 불타는도다. 그 땅은 그들 앞에서는 에덴의 동산 같으나 그들 뒤에는 황량한 광야 같으니, 정녕 어떤 것도 그들을 피하지 못하리라.”(욜 2:1-3)

      사도 바울은 박해 가운데 복음을 전하는 데살로니가교회 성도들에게 편지하면서, “하나님께서 함께 하시는 의로운 일은 이것이니, 너희에게 고통을 주는 자들에게는 환난으로 갚으시고 고통을 받는 너희에게는 우리와 함께 안식으로 갚아주시는 것이라. 주 예수께서 그의 능력의 천사들과 함께 하늘로부터 나타나실 때에 하나님을 알지 못하는 자들과 우리 주 예수 그리스도의 복음에 순종치 아니하는 자들을 불길 가운데 벌하시리니 이런 자들은 주의 임재와 그의 능력의 영광으로부터 떠나 영원한 멸망의 형벌을 받게 될 것이라. 그 날에 주께서 오시면 그의 성도들에게서 영광을 받으시고 또 믿는 모든 사람들에게서 기이히 여김을 받으시리라. 이는 우리의 증거가 너희 가운데 믿어졌기 때문이라.”(살후 1:6-10)고 증거했습니다.

      계시록을 쓴 사도 요한에게도 심판주로 나타나시는 주 예수 그리스도의 모습을 보여주셨습니다: “보라, 그가 구름들과 함께 오시리니, 모든 눈이 그를 볼 것이며, 그를 찌른 자들도 볼 것이요, 또한 땅의 모든 족속이 그로 인하여 애곡하리라….나에게 말씀하신 그 음성을 보려고 돌아서니 일곱 촛대 가운데에 인자 같은 이가 있는데 발까지 닿는 옷을 입고, 가슴에는 금으로 만든 띠를 둘렸더라. 그의 머리와 머리털은 눈처럼 희어서 양모처럼 하얗고, 그의 눈은 불꽃 같더라. 그의 발은 용광로에 달군 듯한 빛나는 놋 같고, 음성은 많은 물 소리와도 같으며 그의 오른손에는 일곱 별을 가졌고 또 입에서는 날카로운 양날 가진 칼이 나오며, 용모는 해가 그 맹렬한 기세로 비치는 것 같더라…..또 내가 즉시 영 안에 있게 되었는데, 보라, 하늘에 한 보좌가 놓여 있고 한 분이 그 보좌에 앉으셨는데 앉으신 분의 용모가 벽옥과 홍보석 같으며, 그 보좌를 두른 무지개는 에메랄드같이 보였더라….그 보좌에서는 번개들과 천둥들과 음성들이 나오고, 보좌 앞에는 일곱 등불이 불타고 있었으니 그것들은 하나님의 일곱 영이라. 보좌 앞에는 수정과 같은 유리 바다가 있고, 그 보좌 가운데와 그 보좌 주위에는 앞뒤로 눈이 가득한 네 짐승이 있더라…또 내가 하늘이 열린 것을 보니 흰 말이 보이더라. 그 위에 앉으신 분 분은 신실과 진실이라 불리며 의로 심판하고 싸우시더라. 그의 눈은 불꽃 같고 머리에는 많은 왕관이 있고 한 이름이 기록되어 있는데 그 자신 외에는 아무도 모르며 피에 적신 옷을 입었는데 그의 이름은 하나님의 말씀이라 불리더라…그 짐승(적거리스도)이 잡히고, 짐승 앞에서 기적들을 행하던 거짓선지자도 그와 함께 잡혔으니 ㄱ는 짐승과 더불어 그 짐승의 표를 받은 자들과 그의 형상에 경배한 자들을 속이던 자라. 이 둘이 유황으로 불타오르는 불못에 산채로 던져지더라. 그리고 그 남은 자들은 말 위에 앉으신 분의 칼, 즉 그의 입에서 나오는 칼로 살해되니 모든 새들이 그들의 살로 배를 채우더라. 또 내가 큰 백보좌와 그 위에 앉으신 분을 보니, 그의 면전에서 땅과 하늘이 사라졌고 그들의 설 자리도 보이지 않더라. 또 내가 죽은 자들을 보니, 작은 자나 큰 자나 하나님 앞에 서 있는데, 책들이 펴져 있으며 또 다른 책도 펴져 있는데 그것은 생명의 책이라. 죽은 자들은 자기들의 행위에 따라 그 책들에 기록된 대로 심판을 받더라….사망과 지옥도 불못에 던져지니 이것이 둘째 사망이라. 누구든지 생명의 책에 기록되지 않은 자는 불못에 던져지더라.”(계 1:7,12,13,14,15,16; ;4:2,3,5,6; 19:11-13, 20, 21; 20:11-15)

        하나님께서는 모든 사람이 죄인이었을 때 자신의 독생자이신 그리스도께서 그들을 위하여 죽게 하심으로써 인간에 대한 자신의 사랑을 나타내셨으며 단순한 죄인들이 아니라 하나님과 원수되었을 때에 자신의 아들의 죽음으로 인하여 자신과 화해하게 하셔서 주 예수 그리스도를 믿는 모든 사람들에게 영원한 생명을 받아 구원받는 길을 지난 이천 년 동안 활짝 열어놓으셨습니다. 그러나 이 세대 사람들은 이렇게 엄청난 은혜를 주신 하나님을 두려워하지 않고 여전히 악함 가운데 살고 있는 것입니다. 뿐만 아니라 하나님의 교회들 마져도 이 큰 은혜를 주신 주 예수 그리스도를 떠나 세상과 연합하고 있는 것입니다. 또한 이들은 장차 올 그리스도의 심판석을 깨닫지 못하고 하나님의 말씀의 건전한 교리를 견디지 못하고 자신들의 정욕을 따라가려운 귀를 즐겁게 해줄 선생들을 많이 두면서 그들의 귀를 진리로부터 돌이켜 꾸며낸 이야기로 돌리고 있는 것입니다. 뿐만 아니라 많은 조롱하는 자들이 와서 “그가 온다는 약속이 어디 있느냐? 조상들이 잠든 이래로 만물은 창조의 시작부터 그대로 있다.” 하면서 새상에 빠져 하나님의 약속의 말씀을 고의로 잊고 살게 만드는 것입니다. 그러나 주의 날, 즉 주 예수 그리스도의 재림의 날이 밤에 도둑같이 올 것이며 그 날에는 하늘들이 굉장한 소리를 내며 사라지고 우주의 구성요소들이 맹렬한 불로 녹아내릴 것이며 땅과 그 안에 있는 모든 일들이 타버릴 것이라는 하나님의 말씀을 고의로 잊으려 하고 있는 것입니다. (딤후 4:3,4, 벧후 3:3,4,5)

      지금도 많은 사람들이 자신이 의롭고 아무 문제 없다고 공공연하게 떠들고 있지만 그 날이 되면 “나는 내 마음을 깨끗하게 하였도다. 나는 내 죄에서 정결케 되었도다.”(잠 20:9)라고 말할 수 있는 자가 아무도 없게 될 것입니다. 그때에는 모든 사람들의 모든 은밀한 죄들이 그들 얼굴 정면 에 설치된 하나님의 카메라에 찍힌 것들이 하나하나 재생될 때에 모든 입이 닫히게 될 것입니다. 사도 바울은 죄가 없다고 주장하는 사람들을 향하여 “이제 율법이 말하는 것은 무었이나 율법 아래 있는 사람들에게 말하는 것인 줄 우리가 아노니 이는 모든 입을 막고 온 세상이 하나님 앞에 죄가 있게 하려 함이니라. 그러므로 율법의 행위로는 그분 앞에 의롭게 될 육체가 없나니 이는 울법을 통해서는 죄의 깨달음이 있음이라.”(롬 3:19,20)고 선포했습니다. 그러므로 모든 율법의 강령인 하나님의 십계명을 지킬 수 없음을 깨닫고 주 예수 그리스도를 믿음으로 구원받아 마지막 심판으로부터 자유할 수 있도록 사랑하는 모든 사람들에게 그리스도의 복음을 전해야 하는 것입니다. 아멘! 할렐루야!

Meditation of the week: Psalms 111:1-10

Main scripture: Daniel 7:9-14

Subject: The Lord God that will judge the secrete of men coming with fear and glory

       Job, the man of perfect and upright testified saying, “And unto man he said, Behold, the fear of the Lord, that is wisdom; and to depart from evil is understanding.”(Job 28:28) King David, a man of God also testified saying, “O fear the Lord, ye his saints: for there is no want to them that fear him.”(Ps 34:9) “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom.”(Ps 111:10) King Solomon, a son of David also warned saying, “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction … For that they hated knowledge, and did not choose the fear of the Lord:”(Prov. 1:7,29)

He also testified saying, “The fear of the Lord is to hate evil: pride, and arrogancy, and the evil way, and the froward mouth, do I hate.”(Prov. 8:13) He also testified of the true knowledge of God to obey him saying,

“The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy is understanding.….. The fear of the Lord prolongeth days: but the years of the wicked shall be shortened.”(Prov. 9:10; 10:27)

   King Solomon plunged into the things in vain, and lived lustful life at his end of life; and he understood his life in vanity, and preached unto the world walking in vanity saying, “Vanity of vanities, saith the Preacher, vanity of vanities; all is vanity. What profit hath a man of all his labour which he taketh under the sun?… Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.

For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.”(Eccl. 1:2,3; 12:13,14)

     Apostle Paul testified toward the Gentiles of the day of judgment for their secrete things sating, “For when the Gentiles, which have not the law, do by nature the things contained in the law, these, having not the law, are a law unto themselves: Which shew the work of the law written in their hearts, their conscience also bearing witness, and their thoughts the mean while accusing or else excusing one another;) In the day when God shall judge the secrets of men by Jesus Christ according to my gospel.”(Rom. 2:14-16)

        In the main passage, the book of Daniel 7:9-14, he testified of the scene of the final judgment as he saw in the Spirit of God. He saw the thrones of God where the Ancient of days did sit. whose garment was white as snow. And hair of his head like the pure wool: his throne was like the fiery flame, and his wheels as burning fire. A fiery stream issued and came forth from before him; thousand thousands ministered unto him, and ten thousand times ten thousand stood before him; the judgment was set, and the books were opened. He saw that the beast was slain and his body destroyed , and given to the burning flame. He also saw in the night vision one like the Son of man came with the clouds of heaven, and came to the Ancient of days, and they brought him near before him. And there was given him dominion and glory, and a kingdom, that all people, nations, and languages, should serve him; his dominion is an everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and his kingdom that which shall not be destroyed

     And the prophet Ezekiel who was in the captivity with Daniel in Babylon also saw the throne of God that was coming down from heaven, and testified, “And I looked, and, behold, a whirlwind came out of the north, a great cloud, and a fire infolding itself, and a brightness was about it, and out of the midst thereof as the colour of amber, out of the midst of the fire.

Also out of the midst thereof came the likeness of four living creatures. And this was their appearance; they had the likeness of a man. And every one had four faces, and every one had four wings. … As for the likeness of the living creatures, their appearance was like burning coals of fire, and like the appearance of lamps: it went up and down among the living creatures; and the fire was bright, and out of the fire went forth lightning. And the living creatures ran and returned as the appearance of a flash of lightning. Now as I beheld the living creatures, behold one wheel upon the earth by the living creatures, with his four faces.”(EZ 1:4-6,13,14,15)

     Not only Daniel and Ezekiel but also prophet Joel saw the Lord Jesus Christ coming with flame, and he testified, “Blow ye the trumpet in Zion, and sound an alarm in my holy mountain: let all the inhabitants of the land tremble: for the day of the Lord cometh, for it is nigh at hand; A day of darkness and of gloominess, a day of clouds and of thick darkness, as the morning spread upon the mountains: a great people and a strong; there hath not been ever the like, neither shall be any more after it, even to the years of many generations. A fire devoureth before them; and behind them a flame burneth: the land is as the garden of Eden before them, and behind them a desolate wilderness; yea, and nothing shall escape them.”(Joel 2:1-3)

       Apostle Paul wrote a letter unto the saints of Thessalonians that were preaching the gospel under persecution; he also testified of the Lord Jesus Christ coming with flame to judge the unbelievers saying, “Seeing it is a righteous thing with God to recompense tribulation to them that trouble you; And to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels,

In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ: Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power;

When he shall come to be glorified in his saints, and to be admired in all them that believe (because our testimony among you was believed) in that day.”(1Thes. 1:6-10)

       The Lord Jesus Christ appeared unto Apostle John, and showed him of his second coming as the Lord of judgment:

“Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen… And I turned to see the voice that spake with me. And being turned, I saw seven golden candlesticks; And in the midst of the seven candlesticks one like unto the Son of man, clothed with a garment down to the foot, and girt about the paps with a golden girdle. His head and his hairs were white like wool, as white as snow; and his eyes were as a flame of fire; And his feet like unto fine brass, as if they burned in a furnace; and his voice as the sound of many waters.

And he had in his right hand seven stars: and out of his mouth went a sharp twoedged sword: and his countenance was as the sun shineth in his strength.

….. And immediately I was in the spirit: and, behold, a throne was set in heaven, and one sat on the throne. And he that sat was to look upon like a jasper and a sardine stone: and there was a rainbow round about the throne, in sight like unto an emerald. … And out of the throne proceeded lightnings and thunderings and voices: and there were seven lamps of fire burning before the throne, which are the seven Spirits of God. And before the throne there was a sea of glass like unto crystal: and in the midst of the throne, and round about the throne, were four beasts full of eyes before and behind….. And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war.

His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself.

And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God… And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone. And the remnant were slain with the sword of him that sat upon the horse, which sword proceeded out of his mouth: and all the fowls were filled with their flesh

….. And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them.

And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works. And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.”(Rev. 1:7,12,13,14,15,16; 4:2,3,5,6; 19:11-13; 20:11-15)

       God showed his love toward the world when all men were sinners by sending his only begotten Son, and let him die for them that are not only just sinners but his enemies to reconcile with him through the death of his Son so that they may be saved to give them eternal life. He has opened the door of salvation widely for last two thousand years. But unfortunately, the people of this generation reject such kind of great grace of God, and never want to fear him to live in wickedness continually. Even the churches of God have been falling away from the Lord Jesus Christ who has given such a grace to be united with evil world. And they not understand the judgment seat of Christ to come over them not enduring sound doctrine; but following after their own lusts listening to their many false teachers. And they are turning away their eyes from the truth, and turning unto fables. And many scoffers have appeared in the church of God to say, “Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation.” They willingly are ignorant of that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing, out of the water and in the water. But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with great noise, and the elements shall met with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burnt up. But they willingly want to forget the words of God intentionally.(2Tim. 4:3,4, 2Pet. 3:3-5)

       Nowadays may people are publically saying, “I am OK with my righteousness, and no problems at all!” When the day of the final judgment shall come, no one shall not be able to say, ” I have made my heart clean, I am pure from my sin?(Prov. 20:9) In the day of final judgment, all the secret of men shall be revealed by the video tapes taken by camera of God set up before their face; and they shall shut their mouths. Apostle Paul declared unto them that insist their righteousness without any sin saying, “Now we know that what things soever the law saith, it saith to them who are under the law: that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God. Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin.”(Rom. 3:19,20) This is the reason why we have to pray and preach the gospel for all them that we love so that they may understand, they have already broken Ten Commandments; and repent before God to believe on the Lord Jesus Christ to be saved, and be free from the final judgment of God. Amen! Hallelujah!
