금주의 묵상: 시편 126:1-6

본문: 요한복음 4:27-42

제목: 추수를 기다리는 영적인 곡식(혼, 魂)이 하얗게 된 것을 볼 수 있는가?

       주님께서 일찍이 제자들에게 “사람이 온 세상을 얻고도 자신의 혼을 잃는다면 무슨 유익이 있겠느냐? 또 사람이 자기 혼을 무엇과 바꾸겠느냐?”(마 16:26)고 말씀하셨습니다. 이 말씀은 우리의 형상대로 우리의 모습을 따라 우리가 사람을 만들자 하고 말씀하시고 흙으로 몸을, 생명의 호흡을 주셔서 영을 만드시고 마침내 사람을 살아있는 혼으로 만드신 분께서 친히 사람이 되셔서 사람의 존재가 혼이라는 사실을 말씀하신 것입니다(창 1:26; 2:6).

      사도 베드로는 사람이 구원을 받아야 하는 것에 대하여 “이는 너희 믿음의 결과, 곧 너희 혼들의 구언을 받음이니라….너희가 성령을 통하여 진리에 순종함으로써 너희 혼들을 정결케 하여 가식 없는 형제 사랑에 이르렀으니 순결한 마음으로 서로 뜨겁게 사랑하라.”(벧전 1:9, 22)고 증거했습니다.

     그렇습니다. 사람의 본체(Identity)는 “혼”(魂)이기 때문에 혼이 육신 안에 있는 동안에 주 예수 그리스도의 복음을 믿어 그리스도의 피로 모든 죄들이 제거되어 성령을 받아 영이 거듭나야만 혼이 구원받아 하나님의 나라(왕국)으로 갈 수 있는 것입니다. 그러므로 이 세상은 하나님께서 추수하시는 타작 마당이라고 침례인 요한이 증거한 것입니다: “그분은 손에 키를 들고 자기의 타작마당을 철저히 정결케 하실 것이며, 알곡은 모아서 창고에 들이고 쭉정이는 꺼지지 않는 불로 태우시리라.”(마 3:12)

        그러므로 지금도 성령께서는 거듭난 그리스도인들을 사용하셔서 생명을 주시는 주 예수 그리스도를 증거하게 하셔서 주님의 타작마당에서 알곡이 될 혼들을 사단으로부터 이겨오기를 원하시는 것입니다. 또한 성령께서는 솔로몬왕을 통하여 지혜로운 사람에 대하여 미리 예언하게 하셨던 것입니다: ‘”의로운 자의 열매는 생명의 나무니, 혼들을 이겨오는 자는 현명하니라.”(잠 11:30)

그렇습니다. 혼들을 이겨와야 하는 것입니다. 모든 사람이 태어날 때에 이 세상의 통치자 마귀 아래에서 아담의 피를 받아 모두가 죄의 DNA를 받아 태어나기 때문에 마귀의 통치를 벗어나기 위해서는 하나님의 피인 주 예수 그리스도의 피를 믿음으로 그분을 전심으로 믿어 영접해야 하는 것입니다. 그러므로 우리가 그리스도의 은혜의 피 복음을 전할 때 복음을 들음으로써 주님을 믿어 혼이 구원받게 되는 것입니다.

       본문에서 우리는 예수님께서 친히 추수하실 현장으로 가셔서 사마리아에 있는 한 여인을 만나시고 그에게 복음을 전하심으로써 그 여인을 사용하셔서 그리스도를 전하게 하셨을 때 그 성읍에 있는 사람들이 주께로 왔습니다. 주님께서 추수하시려고 하시는 추수밭을 볼 수 없었던 영적 소경들인 제자들은 먹을 것을 구하려고 주님을 떠났다가 많은 무리들이 주께로 나오는 현장을 보게 되었습니다. 여전히 그들은 먹을 것에만 관심이 있었습니다. 주님께서는 이미 음식을 드셨다고 말씀하셨습니다 “나에게는 너희가 알지 못하는 먹을 음식이 있느니라….나의 음식은 나를 보내신 분의 뜻을 행하고 그분의 일을 완성하는 것이라.”(요 4:32, 34)

       주님께서는 주님께 나아오는 무리들을 보시고 제자들에게 말씀하셨습니다: “너희가 아직도 넉 달이 있어야 추수할 때가 된다고 말하지 아니하느냐? 보라, 내가 너희에게 말하노니 눈을 들어 밭을 보라. 이는 곡식이 추수하도록 이미 하얗게 되었음이라.”(요 4:35) 주님께서 “넉 달이 되어야 추수할 때가 된다고 말하지 않느냐?”고 말씀하신 것은 제자들이 아직은 영적 소경들인지라 눈에 보이는 육신의 양식이 되는 곡물을 추수하는 것은 많지만 눈에 보이지 않는 사람의 혼을 추수해서 하늘 곳간에 들이는 일에는 무지함을 아시고 말씀하신 것입니다. 그들은 여전히 알 수 없었던 것입니다. 그러나 오순절에 성령께서 오신 후에 그들 역시 주님처럼 추수밭을 보고 추수할 수 있었던 것입니다.

     오늘날에도 주님의 제자가 되기 위하여 교회에서 열심히 제자 훈련을 하는 것을 봅니다. 그러나 그들이 먼저 복음을 믿음으로써 성령으로 다시 태어나서 그들의 혼들이 구원을 받지 않고서는 보이지 않는 혼들을 추수하는 일에 무지할 수밖에 없는 것입니다. 매년 추수감사절을 맞아 여러가지 행사를 하고 Turkey를 먹으면서 교제한다해도 하나님께서 진정으로 기뻐하시는 추수를 하지 않는다면 하나님의 눈에는 헛된 일밖에는 아무 것도 아닌 것입니다. 주님께서는 “썩는 음식을 위하여 일하지 말고 영생에 이르는 음식을 위하여 일하라.”(요 6:27)고 말씀하셨습니다.

       그 당시 주님께서는 예루살렘과 유대 땅에서는 추수할 때가 되지 않아 추수할 때가 준비되어 있는 사마리아 수칼 성에 있는 한 여인과 그 여인이 살고 있는 성읍의 거민들이 추수할 준비가 된 것을 아시고 그곳으로 가신 것입니다. 추수할 때가 되지도 않았는데 낫을 들어 곡식을 추수하는 농부는 아무도 없는 것처럼, 주님께서도 추수를 기다리는 혼들이 있는 곳으로 가셨던 것입니다. 주님께서 칠십 인 제자들을 둘씩 짝을 짓게 하셔서 전도 현장을 보내실 때에도 “몸소 가시려고 했던 모든 성읍과 마을로 앞서 둘씩 보내시더라”(눅 10:1)고 누가는 증거했습니다. 또한 주님께서 그들에게 말씀하시기를 “참으로 추수할 것은 많으나 일꾼들이 적도다. 그러므로 너희는 추수의 주께 간구하여 추수할 일꾼들을 보내주소서 하라.”(눅 10:2)고 하셨습니다.

       주님께서는 20년 전에 이 교회를 모든 민족에게 복음 전하는 교회로 부르셨습니다. 그후부터 추수의 주이신 주 예수 그리스도께서는 주님이 가시려고 하시는 추수 현장으로 인도하셔서 많은 혼들을 추수하게 하셨습니다. 주님께서 본문에서 제자들에게 말씀하셨습니다: “또 거두는 사람은 삯을 받고 영원한 생명에 이르는 열매를 모으느니라. 이는 뿌리는 사람과 거두는 사람이 다 함께 즐거워하려 함이라. 이렇듯 한 사람은 심고 한 사람은 거둔다는 그 말이 옳도다. 나는 너희가 일하지 않은 것을 거두게 하려고 너희를 보내었노라. 일은 다른 사람들이 하였고 너희는 그들의 수고에 참여하였느니라.”(요 4:36,37) 그렇습니다. 지난 20년 동안 주님께서 가시려고 하시는 곳들로 가서 혼들을 거두기도 했고 때로는 심기도 했던 것입니다.

        지금도 주 예수 그리스도의 이름으로 오신 성령께서 여전히 그리스도의 몸인 하나님의 교회를 추수할 곳으로 인도하시는 것입니다. 그러므로 하나님의 교회는 성령님의 인도를 받아야 하며 사람의 생각과 계획으로 움직여서는 안되는 것입니다. 사도 바울이 아시아로 가려고 했을 때 성령께서 아시아에서 말씀 전하는 것을 금하셨습니다 (행 16:6). 그후 그 밤에 바울에게 환상이 나타났는데 어떤 마케도니아 사람이 서서 그에게 간청하면서 “마케도니아로 건너와서 우리를 도와 달라”고 했습니다(행 16:9) 이때에 사도 바울과 그의 동역자들은 즉시 마케도니아로 떠나게 된 것입니다. 이는 주께서 그들에게 복음을 전하게 하시고자 그들을 부르셨다고 확신하였기 때문이었습니다.

     주님께서는 이 교회를 모든 민족에게 복음 전하는 교회로 세우시고 즉시 우리를 LA 다운타운으로 인도하셨습니다. 수많은 민족들로 붐비는 곳으로 인도하셔서 수많은 민족들의 혼들을 추수하게 하셨습니다. 우리가 한인들로 교회를 채우려는 마음으로 한인 마켙에 나가서 복음을 전했을 때 마치 옛날 유대인들처럼 강퍅하여 추수할 수 없음을 알게 하시고 기도회로 모이던 어느 날 성령께서는 모인 모든 사람들에게 “멕시코로 가라!”는 음성을 들려주셨습니다. 그때에 우리는 이미 사년 동안 거리에서 많은 민족들의 혼들을 추수하게 하셨을 때 거의 대부분이 히스패닉 사람들인 것을 기억나게 하심으로써 성령님의 음성에 복종하여 그 주 토요일에 차를 몰고 멕시코 엔세나다로 향해서 지금까지도 17년 동안 여전히 혼들을 추수하는 일을 계속하고 있는 것입니다. 뿐만 아니라 그 외에 다른 추수 현장들인 유카탄 반도, 브라질, 콜롬비아, 쿠바로 인도하실 때에도 환상으로 나타난 사람이 아닌 하나님의 사람들을 사용하셔서 우리를 부르시어 그곳에 있는 혼들을 추수하게 하셨읍니다.

     성령께서 안디옥 교회를 최초로 선교하는 교회로 세우셨을 때에도 소수의 사람들이 주를 섬기며 금식하고 있을 때 성령께서 말씀하시기를 “내가 불러 시키는 일을 위하여 바나바와 사울을 내게 따로 구별해 놓으라.”(행 13:2)고 말씀하셨습니다. 그때 그들은 금식하고 기도한 후에 그들에게 안수하여 선교지로 보냈던 것입니다 (행 13:3). 지금도 성령께서는 하나님의 교회들을 향하여 말씀하고 게신 것입니다. 또한 성령께서 가시려고 하시는 곳으로 지체하지 않고 가야 하는 것입니다.

     주님께서 부활하신 후 갈리리로 가셔서 열한 제자들을 만나셔서 말씀하셨습니다: “그러므로 너희는 가서 모든 민족들을 가르치고, 아버지와 아들과 성령의 이름으로 침례를 주며 내가 너희에게 명령한 모든 것을 가르쳐 지키게 하라. 보라. 내가 세상 끝까지 너희와 항상 함께 있으리라.”(마 28:19,20) 그후 사십일 동안 하나님의 나라(왕국)에 대하여 말씀하신 후 하늘로 들려올라가시기 전에 다시 한 번 말씀하셨습니다: “성령이 너희에게 임하시면 너희가 능력을 받으리니 그러면 예루살렘과 온 유대와 사마리아와 땅 끝까지 이르러 내게 증인이 되리라.”(행 1;8)

       그렇습니다! 누구든지 주 예수 그리스도를 믿어 혼이 구원받아 성령으로 거듭난 사람은 성령께서 주 예수 그리스도의 죽으심과 장사되심과 셋째 날에 부활하신 것을 본 것처럼 그리스도를 증거하게 하실 것을 말씀하신 것입니다. 성령께서 그리스도를 증거하는 증거자로 만드시겠다는 의지가 들어있는 것입니다. “Ye shall be witnesses unto me”라는 말씀은 “I will make you witnesses unto me”라는 뜻으로 주님께서 전도자로 만드시겠다는 것입니다. 다시 말해서 전도하지 않고서는 마음이 편치 않게 하시겠다는 것입니다.

       농사짓는 농부가 씨를 심고 추수하지 않는다면 그 결과는 먹을 것이 없게 되어 가난을 면치 못하게 되듯이 이 땅에 살면서 복음의 씨를 심어 추수하지 않는 그리스도인은 그리스도께서 오시는 날에 받을 유업이 없게 되는 것입니다. 이 땅에서 농부가 받는 것은 썩어질 양식이지만 복음을 뿌려 혼의 열매를 거두는 사람들에게 주시는 상은 영원한 기쁨을 주시는 면류관이라고 사도 바울은 증거했습니다: “그러므로 나의 참으로 사랑하고 사모하는 형제들아, 나의 기쁨이요 면류관인, 나의 참으로 사랑하는 자들아, 주 안에서 이처럼 굳게 서라.”(빌 4:1)

사도 베드로도 이에 대하여 증거했습니다: “하나님, 곧 우리 주 예수 그리스도의 아버지를 송축하리로다. 그분은 그의 풍성하신 자비하심을 따라 죽은 자들로부터의 예수 그리스도의 부활로 인하여, 우리를 거듭나게 하사 산 소망을 갖게 하셨으며 너희를 위하여 하늘에 썩지 않고 더럼지 않고 쇠잔하지 않는 유업을 간직해 두셨으니 너희는 마지막 때에 나타내려고 에비하신 구원을 얻기 위하여 믿음으로 말미암아 하나님의 능력으로 보호받고 있느니라.”(벧전 1:3-5) 아멘! 할렐루야!

Meditation of the week: Psalms 126:1-6

Main scripture: John 4:27-42

Subject: Do you see the harvest field of souls to be ready to harvest?

        Jesus spoke unto his disciples, “For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?”(Matt. 16:26) Jesus reminded them of the soul of man that was created by God saying, let us make man in our image, and in our likeness; and made body with the dust of ground, spirit through breathing the breath of life, and made him as a living soul. God became a man, and he reminded of the soul as a real identity of man (Gen. 1:26; 2:5)

        Apostle Peter testified of the salvation of soul of man saying,

“Receiving the end of your faith, even the salvation of your souls….. Seeing ye have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit unto unfeigned love of the brethren, see that ye love one another with a pure heart fervently:”(1Pet. 1:9,22)

        Yea! The real identity of man is the soul so that soul should be born again of the Spirit to be saved through believing the gospel of Christ to enter the kingdom of God before it leaves the body. Therefore, this world is the floor of God for the harvest of souls as John the Baptist testified, “Whose fan is in his hand, and he will thoroughly purge his floor, and gather his wheat into the garner; but he will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire.”(Matt. 3;12)

        Therefore, the Holy Ghost still wants born again Christians to preach the gospel that gives the eternal life through winning the souls from the hands of the devil. And the Holy Ghost made King Solomon testify of the one that is wise saying, “The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life; and he that winneth souls is wise.”(Prov. 11:30)

        Yea! We have to win souls. All men are born under the devil, the prince of the world receiving DNA of Adam in his blood; they have to receive the Lord Jesus Christ by faith of his blood in all their heart to be free from the hand of the devil. Therefore, their souls could be saved upon hearing the gospel of the blood of Christ.

        In the main passage, Jesus went to the harvest field to save a woman in Samaria; and he used the woman to testify of Christ unto the people; and the habitants of the city came to the Lord Jesus.

But his disciples couldn’t see the harvest field, because they were spiritually blinded. They were busy to buy food; when they came back, they saw the crowd of people coming forward to Jesus. They were still interested in the food to eat. Jesus had already eaten food, and said to them, “I have meat to eat that ye know not of…. My meat is to do the will of him that sent me, and to finish his work.”(John 4:32,34)

        The Lord Jesus spoke unto his disciples upon seeing the crowd:

“Say not ye, There are yet four months, and then cometh harvest? behold, I say unto you, Lift up your eyes, and look on the field; for they are white already to harvest.”(John 4:35)

They were spiritually blinded so that they were interested only in the harvest of grain totally being ignorant of the harvest of souls for the kingdom of God. Finally, they also could harvest the souls as Jesus after the day of Pentecost.

        Nowadays many people participate in discipleship to be the disciple of Jesus in the church. Unless they are born of the Spirit to be saved of their souls, they are still ignorant of the harvest of souls. Even though they are so busy for doing many kinds of programs for Thanksgiving Day having fellowship sharing Turkey, they are doing something in vain to the eyes of God, unless they harvest the souls to please God. The Lord Jesus asked unto his disciples saying, “Labour not for the meat which perisheth, but for that meat which endureth unto everlasting life.”(John 6:27)

          At that time, Jesus went to Sychar, Samaria knowing the harvest field was ready for a woman and the habitants of the city, for Jerusalem and Judea were not be ready for harvest. As no farmer lifts up his sickle to harvest, Jesus went to the city where the souls were waiting for harvest. The Lord Jesus appointed other seventy disciples, and sent them two and two before his face into every city and place, where he himself would come(Luke 10:1). And the Lord Jesus spoke unto them, “The harvest truly is great, but the labourers are few: pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he would send forth labourers into his harvest.”(Luke 10:2)

        The Lord Jesus called this church to preach the gospel unto all nations of people twenty years ago. Since then, the Lord of harvest has led us to the harvest field to win many souls. In the main passage, the Lord Jesus spoke unto his disciples saying, “And he that reapeth receiveth wages, and gathereth fruit unto life eternal: that both he that soweth and he that reapeth may rejoice together.

And herein is that saying true, One soweth, and another reapeth.”(John 4:36,37)

Yea, we went to the places where the Lord Jesus wanted us to go, and we harvested the souls, and sown the seeds sometimes.

        Even now, the Holy Ghost which came in the name of Jesus Christ still leads the church of God to the harvest fields. Therefore, the church of God should be led by the Holy Ghost, not by the thought of man nor any plan of man. Apostle Paul was going to Asia, but the Spirit asked not to go there (Acts 16:6). And a vision appeared to Paul in the night; there stood a man of Macedonia, and prayed him, saying, Come over into Macedonia, and help us (Acts 16:9). And after he had seen the vision, immediately they were going to go to Macedonia, assuring that the Lord had called them for preach the gospel unto them.

      The Lord Jesus led us to the downtown in Los Angeles shortly after he called us to the church to preach the gospel unto all nations of people; and he made us to harvest souls of many nations in the midst of the street. When we preached the gospel at the Korean markets as well as door to door to win Korean souls to fill the church, they were not ready to be harvested as the Jews were not be ready. The Holy Ghost spoke unto us in the midst of prayer meeting asking us to go to Mexico.

The Holy Ghost reminded us of the souls saved in the street for four years as almost Hispanics. And we drove to Ensenada, Mexico in the Saturday of that week obeying the voice of the Spirit, and still we have been continuing to harvest the souls for 17 years. Since then the Lord Jesus sent us men of God instead of showing vision to lead us to Yucatan, Mexico, Brazil, Colombia and Cuba and so on to harvest the souls.

        The Holy Ghost build the church in Antioch for mission; the Holy Ghost spoke small number of the saints in the midst of prayer and fasting ministering the Lord saying, “Separate me Barnabas and Saul for the work whereunto I have called them.”(Acts 13:2)

And when they had fasted and prayed, and laid their hands on them, and they sent them away(Acts 13:3). even nowadays, the Holy Ghost is speaking unto the churches of God; and the churches of God should go without hesitant wherever the Spirit of God asks to go.

      The Lord Jesus went to Galilee, and met with his disciples, and said unto them, “Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:

Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world.”(Matt. 28:19,20)

Thereafter, he spoke of the kingdom of God for forty days, and he spoke again unto them just before he was lifted to heaven saying, “But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.”(Acts 1:8)

        Yea! Whosoever believes on the Lord Jesus Christ to be saved, and born again of the Spirit shall be witness unto him as if he saw the death of Christ, and his burial and resurrection the third day. In other word, the Holy Ghost will make them witnesses unto him.

        Unless farmer sows the seeds and harvest, he shall be in want without any food to eat; in the same manner, unless Christian sow the seed of the gospel to harvest the souls, there shall be no inheritance for them when Christ come. Farmers harvest the foods that are corruptible in the earth; but the reward for the harvest of souls shall be crown that gives eternal joy. Apostle Paul testified of this crown saying, “Therefore, my brethren dearly beloved and longed for, my joy and crown, so stand fast in the Lord, my dearly.”(Phil. 4:1)

      Apostle Peter also testified of this saying, “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,

To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you,

Who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.”(1Pet. 1:3-5) Amen! Hallelujah!
