금주의 묵상: 시편 111:1-10

본문: 고린도전서 1:18-25

제목: 하나님의 지혜를 받아 생명 나무가 되었는가?

       세상 사람들은 세상으로부터 지식과 지혜를 얻으려고 많은 시간과 물질을 쓰면서 공부하는 것을 최상의 일로 삼고 있습니다. 그들이 하는 모든 일들은 자신의 육신의 이익을 위하여 하는 것들인 것입니다. 다른 사람들을 위하여 봉사한다는 기업가들이나 정치가들 역시 자신의 육신의 삶의 명예를 위하여 일하고 있는 것입니다.

      사도 바울은 본문에서 하나님의 지혜와 세상의 지혜를 분별하라는 메세지를 주고 있습니다.. 먼저 세상 지혜에 대하여 분별하는 것에 대하여, 십자가를 전파하는 것이 세상 지혜를 받은 사람들에게는 어리석게 보인다는 것입니다. 그러나 그들은 결국 멸망하는 자들이라고 말하고 있습니다. 세상의 지혜는 죽는 것을 어리석게 여기면서 자신들이 살려고 안간힘을 쓰고 있는 지혜입니다. 그러나 구원받은 사람들에게는 십자가에서 죽으신 그리스도를 전파하는 것이 참 지혜요 능력이라고 증거하고 있습니다. 그 이유에 대하여, 그리스도는 하나님의 능력이시며 그분은 하나님의 지혜이기 때문이라고 증거하고 잇습니다.

        유대인들은 여전히 십자가에서 자신들의 죄를 위하여 죽으신 예수 그리스도를 거치는 반석으로 여겨 믿지 않음으로써 그 돌에 걸려 넘어진 것을 깨닫지 못하고 있는 것입니다. 헬라인, 즉 이방인들 역시 이 세상의 지혜를 구하면서 살고 있지만 그들은 세상의 지혜를 얻으면 얻을수록 하나님의 독생자의 십자가 사건을 어리석은 것을 간주하며 하나님을 어리석은 자로 믿게 되어 멸망 길로 가고 있는 것입니다. 예수께서 세상 사람들을 어리석게 만드는 자들에 대하여 말씀하셨습니다., “내 앞에 온 자는 다 도둑들이요 강도들이라. 양들이 그들을 듣지 아니하였느니라….도둑은 오직 도둑질하고 죽이며 멸망시기키려고 오지만, 내가 온 것은 양들로 생명을 얻고 더 풍성히 얻게 하려 함이라.”(요 10:8,10)

        예수께서는 자신이 이 세상에 나타나시기 전에 사람들을 멸망 길로 인도하였던 철학자들을 향해 그들을 도둑들이라고 말씀하신 것이며, 그들 모두는 도둑질하고 죽이고 멸망시키는 자들이라고 말씀하신 것입니다. 그들 가운데 니체라는 사람은 심지어 하나님은 죽었다고 평생을 외치면서 생명의 하나님이신 주 예수 그리스도를 믿어 생명을 얻지 못하도록 하나님의 말씀을 도둑질 한 자였습니다.

        사도 바울은 하나님의 부르심을 받고 주 예수 그리스도를 믿어 영접하여 구원받은 사람들에게는 유대인이나 헬라인이나“그리스도는 하나님의 능력이요 하나님의 지혜”라고 증거하고 있습니다. 다시 말해서 태초에 말씀으로 계셨던 창조주 하나님이신 예수 그리스도가 바로 하나님의 지혜이시며, 그분이 전능하신 하나님이시기에 하나님의 능력이라고 성령 안에서 증거한 것입니다.

      하나님의 지혜를 받았던 솔로몬 왕은 하나님의 지혜에 대하여, “지혜는 그것을 얻는 자에게 생명의 나무니, 그것을 지닌 자는 행복하니라. 주께서는 지혜로 땅의 기초를 두셨으며, 명철로 하늘들을 세우셨고 그의 지식으로 깊은 곳들이 쪼개졌으며, 구름들이 이슬을 내리는도다.”(잠 3:18-20)라고 증거했습니다. 그러므로 죄인임을 깨닫고 십자가에 못박히신 예수 그리스도의 죽으심과                                                                                                                                                                                                               부활하심을 믿고 주 에수 그리스도를 영접한 사람은 하나님의 지혜를 받은 자들인 것입니다. 성령으로 다시 태어날 때, 성령 안에 있는 주님의 영을 받음으로써 지혜와 명철과 계획과 능력과 지식과 하나님을 두려워하는 영(사 11:2)을 받게 되는 것입니다.

      하나님의 영을 통하여 지혜와 명철을 받은 솔로몬왕은 , “주를 두려워하는 것이 지식의 시작이거늘 , 어리석은 자들은 지혜와 훈계를 멸시하느니라.”(잠 1:7)고 증거했습니다. 성령을 통하여 하나님의 지혜를 받은 다윗왕도 “주를 두려워함이 지혜의 시작이라. 그의 계명을 지키는 모든 자들은 좋은 지각을 가졌나니 그를 찬양함이 영원히 지속되는도다.”(시 111:10)라고 증거했습니다. 다시 말해서 하나님의 지혜를 받은 자만이 그의 계명을 지키며 영원토록 주님을 찬양하게 된다고 증거한 것입니다.

        솔로몬왕은 성령 안에서 자신의 아들뿐만 아니라 앞으로 나타날 하나님의 자녀들에게 강력하게 권면했습니다: “내 아들아, 건전한 지혜와 분별력을 지켜 그것들이 네 눈에서 떠나지 않게 하라. 그것들이 네 혼에 생명이 되며 네 목에 은혜가 되리니 그리하면 네가 길에서 안전하게 행하며, 네 발이 걸려 넘어지지 아니할 것이요, 네가 누울 때에 두려워하지 아니하리니, 정녕 네가 누울 것이요 네 잠은 달리로다.”(잠 3:21-24)

        솔로몬왕은 하나님의 지혜를 어리석게 여기는 어리석은 자들을 향하여 외쳤습니다: “지혜가 밖에서 외치고 거리들에서 소리를 발하며 사람이 모이는 곳의 가장 높은 장소와 성문 어귀에서 외치고, 그 상읍에서 그녀의 말들을 발설하여 말하기를 ‘너희 우매한 자들아, 언제까지 너희가 우매함을 자랑하겠으며, 조롱하는 자들이 조롱하기를 즐기며, 어리석은 자들이 지식을 미워하겠느냐? 나의 책망을 듣고 돌이키라. 보라. ‘내가 내 영을 너희에게 부어 너희에게 나의 말들을 알게 하리라.”(잠 1:20-23)

        솔로몬이 외친 복음이 오늘날에도 세상 곳곳에서 하나님의 지혜의 영을 받은 사람들의 입을 통해서 전파되고 있는 것입니다. 하나님의 지혜를 얻은 사람은 생명나무처럼 되며 그 지혜를 지닌 자는 행복하다(잠 3:18)고 증거했습니다. 다시 말해서 하나님의 지혜의 영을 받아 성령으로 거듭나서 의롭게 된 사람들이 복음을 전하여 혼들을 마귀의 손으로부터 이겨올 때, 또 다른 생명나무 열매를 맺는 현명한 자가 된다고 증거한 것입니다 (잠 11:30).

     사도 바울은 성령 안에서 받은 지혜를 통하여 지혜로 만물을 창조하신 주 예수 그리스도에 대하여 성령 안에서 본 것을 증거했습니다: “그는 보이지 않는 하나님의 형상이시며 모든 피조물의 첫태생이니 이는 만물이 그에 의하여 창조되되 하늘에 있는 것들과 땅에 있는 것들과 보이는 것들과 보이지 않는 것들과 보좌들이나 주권들이나 정사들이나 권세들이나 만물이 그에 의하여 또 그를 위하여 창조되었기 때문이라. 그는 만물 이전에 계시고 또 만물은 그로 말미암아 존속하느니라. 그는 몸인 교회의 머리시라. 그는 시작이며 죽은자들로부터 첫 번째로 나셨으니 이는 그가 만물 안에서 으뜸이 되려 하심이라. 이는 모든 충만함이 그의 안에 거하는 것이 아버지를 기쁘게 하였음이라.”(골 1:15-19)

      사도 요한도 동일한 성령을 통하여 받은 지혜로 지혜이신 주 예수 그리스도에 대하여 성령 안에서 본 것을 증거햇습니다:

“태초에 말씀이 계셨고, 그 말씀이 하나님과 함깨 계셨으니, 그 말씀은 하나님이셨느니라. 그 말씀이 태초에 하나님과 함께 계셨느니라. 만물은 그에 의하여 지은 바 되었으며, 이미 지음 받은 것 가운데 그가 없이 지어진 것은 아무 것도 없더라. 그분 안에 생명이 있었으니 그 생명은 사람들의 빛이라. 그 빛이 어두움 속에 비치어도, 어두움은 그것을 깨닫지 못하더라.”(요 1:1-5)

        생명의 빛이 비치어도 깨닫지 못하는 어리석은 자들을 향하여 성령께서는 솔로몬왕의 입을 통하여 미리 말씀하셨습니다: “내가 불렀으나 너희가 거역하였고 내가 손을 내밀었으나 아무도 개의치 아니하였으며 오히려 나의 모든 조언을 무시하였고 나의 책망을 받아들이지 아니하였으므로 나도 너희가 재앙을 당할 때 비웃을 것이요, 너희에게 두려움이 임할 때 조롱하리니 이는 너희의 두려움이 멸망같이 이르고 너희의 재앙이 회오라바람처럼 닥칠 때요, 고난과 고통이 너희에게 임할 때라. 그때 그들이 나를 부를 것이나, 내가 대답하지 아니하갰고, 그들이 일찍 나를 찾을 것이나 나를 만나지 못하리라. 이는 그들이 자식을 싫어하며 주를 두려워하기를 원치 아니하였음이라. 그들은 나의 조언을 결코 원치 아니하며 나의 모든 책망을 경멸하였도다.”(잠 1:24-30) 이 말씀 가운데 우리는 주 예수 그리스도를 믿지 않은 자들이 대 환란 가운데 부르짖을 것이나 이미 때가 늦었다고 말씀하시는 주님의 음성을 듣게 됩니다.

        하나님의 사람 다윗왕은 성령을 받아 지혜를 받은 자의 삶에 대하여 시편 119편을 통하여 자세하게 증거했습니다;“청년이 무엇으로 자기 길을 정결케 하리이까? 주의 말씀을 따라 조심할 것이니이다….주의 말씀을 내 마음에 간직하였으니 이는 내가 주께 범죄치 아니하려 함이니이다….나에게 명철을 주소서. 그리하면 내가 주의 법을 지키리니 정녕, 내가 전심으로 그것을 준수하리이다….오 주여, 주의 말씀은 영원히 하늘에 세워졌나이다….오, 내가 얼마나 주의 법을 사랑하는지요! 그것이 종일 나의 묵상이 되나이다…..주의 말씀은 내 발에 등불이요, 내 길에 빛이니이다….통치자들이 까닭없이 나를 박해하였으나 내 마음은 주의 말씀을 두려워하나이다….오 주여, 내가 주위 구원을사모하였으니 주의 법은 내게 기쁨이니이다.”(시 119:9,11,34,89,97,105,161,174)

        사도 요한은 피에 적신 옷을 입으시고 이 땅에 심판주로 오시는 주 예수 그리스도에 대하여 “하나님의 말씀“이러고 증거했습니다(계 19:13). 만왕의 왕, 만주의 주로 오시는 주 예수 그리스도께서는 그분의 지혜의 말씀으로 창조되었다가 마귀로 인하여 죄와 사망과 저주가 임한 하늘과 땅을 동일한 말씀으로 회복하실 것입니다. 이 지구뿐만 아니라, 하나님의 지혜의 말씀을 받은 그분의 신부와 함께 우주만물을 동잏한 말씀으로 처음에 있던 지구처럼 아름답게 조성하실 것입니다. 면류관 받은 그분과 함께 한 공동상속자(롬 8:17)인 그의 신부인 하나님의 교회와 함께 영원무궁토록 세 하늘들과 새 땅과 새 예루살렘을 아름답게 보존하실 것입니다.

        하나님께서는 지혜를 구하는 모든 사람에게 꾸짖지 않으시고 아낌없이 주시는 분이십니다(약 1:5). 아멘! 할렐루야!

Meditation of the week: Psalms 111:1-10

Main scripture: 1Corinthians 1:18-25

Subject: Have you become a life tree upon receiving the wisdom of God?

       People in the world are spending their time and money to get wisdom and knowledge from the world considering them their best priority of life. All things that they are doing are for the benefit of their own life. Even they that are willing to serve others, such as business men as well as politicians are working for their pride of life.

       Apostle Paul is giving us to have the wisdom to discern the spirit between the wisdom of God and of the world. Of discerning the wisdom of the world, preaching Christ crucified is foolishness unto them in the world. But they are going to be perished after all. The wisdom of the world consider death as foolishness, but honor life of flesh. Apostle Paul testifies, preaching Christ crucified is wisdom and power, for Christ is power of God as well as the wisdom of God.

        The Jews are still not believing on Jesus Christ that died for their sins thinking him as a stumbling block that they have fallen down against the block. The Greek including all the Gentiles are seeking the wisdom of the world. More they seek the wisdom of the world, more they mock the only begotten Son of God, the Christ crucified to be foolish unto destruction. Jesus spoke about them that make people foolish: “All that ever came before me are thieves and robbers: but the sheep did not hear them….. The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.”(John 10:8,10)

        Jesus talked about the philosophers that had led people unto destruction. They were thief that had come before Jesus came to steal and kill and destroy people. Nietzsche among them spent his whole life saying “God is dead.” stealing the word of God so that people might not receive life through believing on the Lord Jesus Christ that is living God.

        Apostle Paul testifies in the Spirit of Christ as the power of God as well as the wisdom of God unto Christians that are called by God, and believed on the Lord Jesus Christ, whether they are the Jew or the Gentiles. In other word, The Lord Jesus Christ that was the Word in the beginning, and God the Creator is the very wisdom of God as well as the power of God, for he is Almighty God.

        King Solomon received the wisdom of God, and he testified of the wisdom of God saying, “She is a tree of life to them that lay hold upon her: and happy is every one that retaineth her.

The Lord by wisdom hath founded the earth; by understanding hath he established the heavens. By his knowledge the depths are broken up, and the clouds drop down the dew.”(Prov. 3:18-20)

Therefore, whosoever understands himself sinner, and believe in the death and resurrection of Christ, and receive Jesus Christ as the Savior and the Lord receives the wisdom of God, for Jesus is the wisdom of God. When they are born of the Spirit again, they are to receive the spirit of the Lord together with the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the Lord (Isa. 11:2).

       King Solomon testified after he received the wisdom and understanding saying, “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction.”(Prov. 1:7)

King David received the wisdom of God through the Spirit, and testified saying, “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom: a good understanding have all they that do his commandments: his praise endureth for ever.”(Ps. 111;10)

In other word, only they that received the wisdom of God can do the commandments of God, and praise the Lord forever.

        King Solomon encouraged firmly in the Spirit not only his own son as well as the children of God to appear in the future saying,

“ My son, let not them depart from thine eyes: keep sound wisdom and discretion: So shall they be life unto thy soul, and grace to thy neck. Then shalt thou walk in thy way safely, and thy foot shall not stumble. When thou liest down, thou shalt not be afraid: yea, thou shalt lie down, and thy sleep shall be sweet.”(Prov. 3:21-24)

        King Solomon cried out toward them that are foolish not honoring the wisdom of God, but mocking it saying,

“Wisdom crieth without; she uttereth her voice in the streets:

She crieth in the chief place of concourse, in the openings of the gates: in the city she uttereth her words, saying,

How long, ye simple ones, will ye love simplicity? and the scorners delight in their scorning, and fools hate knowledge?

Turn you at my reproof: behold, I will pour out my spirit unto you, I will make known my words unto you”(Prov. 1:20-23)

        Even nowadays, the gospel that was preached by Solomon is being preached everywhere through the mouth of them that received the wisdom of God. Whosoever receives the wisdom of God becomes as a tree of life is happy (Prov. 3:18) In other word, when the righteous that is born of the Spirit again through the wisdom of God wins the souls from the hands of the devil, they reap other tree of life. Solomon testified of them wise(Prov. 11:30).

        Apostle Paul testified of the Lord Jesus Christ that created all things by the wisdom in the Spirit: “Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature: For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him: And he is before all things, and by him all things consist. And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence. For it pleased the Father that in him should all fulness dwell;”(Col. 1:15-19)

        Apostle John also testified of what he saw in the Spirit of the Lord Jesus Christ through the wisdom of God: “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. In him was life; and the life was the light of men. And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.”(John 1:1-5)

        The Holy Ghost foretold through Solomon toward the foolish people that cannot understand even though the light of life shines unto them:

“Because I have called, and ye refused; I have stretched out my hand, and no man regarded; But ye have set at nought all my counsel, and would none of my reproof: I also will laugh at your calamity; I will mock when your fear cometh; When your fear cometh as desolation, and your destruction cometh as a whirlwind; when distress and anguish cometh upon you. Then shall they call upon me, but I will not answer; they shall seek me early, but they shall not find me:

For that they hated knowledge, and did not choose the fear of the Lord: They would none of my counsel: they despised all my reproof.”(Prov. 1:24-30)

        King David, a man of God testified of the life that received wisdom of God through the Spirit: “Wherewithal shall a young man cleanse his way? by taking heed thereto according to thy word…. Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee…. Give me understanding, and I shall keep thy law; yea, I shall observe it with my whole heart….. For ever, O Lord, thy word is settled in heaven….O how love I thy law! it is my meditation all the day.

…. Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.

…. Princes have persecuted me without a cause: but my heart standeth in awe of thy word….. I have longed for thy salvation, O Lord; and thy law is my delight.”(Ps. 119:9,11,34,89,97,161,174)

        Apostle John testified of Jesus Christ clothed with a vesture dipped in blood comes to judge the world in the name of the Word of God (Rev. 19:13). The Lord Jesus Christ coming as King of Kings, Lord of Lords will restore the heaven and earth that had were created by his word of wisdom, but devastated by the devil with sin and death and curses. Not only the earth, but also all other stars, he will make them all as beautiful as the first earth together with his bride that received the word of wisdom of God. He will keep the new heavens and the new earth and the new Jerusalem beautiful together with his bride, the church of God.

God is the one that gives abundantly not rebuking unto them that ask for wisdom (James 1:5) Amen ! Hallelujah!
