금주의 묵상: 시편 71:1-24

본문: 시편 139:1-16

제목: 지혜의 말씀 안에서 명철을 받고 행하고 있는가?

        하나님의 지혜를 받은 다윗 왕은 자신의 아들 솔로몬을 하나님의 지혜의 말씀으로 양육했습니다. 아버지의 지혜로 양육받았던 솔로몬은 어린 나이에 왕위에 올랐을 때 하나님께 부귀영화를 구하지 아니하고 지혜를 구했습니다. 하나님의 지혜를 받은 솔로몬은 “주를 두려워하는 것이 지혜의 시작이며 거룩한 이에 대한 지식은 명철이니라.”(잠 9:10)고 증거했습니다. 다윗의 자손으로 이 땅에 나타나신 주 예수 그리스도께서도 하나님을 두려워함에 대하여 말씀하셨습니다:

“또 너희는 몸은 죽일 수 있으나 혼은 죽이지 못하는 자들을 두려워하지 말고, 차라리 혼과 몸을 모두 지옥에서 멸하시는 그분을 두려워하라.”(마 10:28) 주님께서는 하나님 외에 어떤 누구도 그 어떤 것도 두려워하지 말라고 말씀하신 것입니다. 솔로몬 역시 성령 안에서 동일한 지혜의 말씀을 증거했습니다: “두려워하면 덫에 걸리나, 주를 신뢰하는 자는 누구나 안전하리라.”(잠 29:25)

        주를 두려워한다는 것은 주를 무서워한다는 것과 같은 말입니다. 단지 경외하는 것이 아니고 무서움 자체라는 것입니다. 하나님에 대하여 알면 알수록 그분 앞에서 두려움을 가지고 행하게 된 다는 것입니다. 지혜는 하나님의 영 안에 있다고 선지자 이사야는 증거했습니다: “이새의 줄기에서 한 싹이 나며 그의 뿌리에서 한 가지가 자랄 것이라. 주의 영이 그의 위에 머물리니 지혜와 명철의 영이요, 계획과 능력의 영이며, 지식과 주를 두려워하는 영이라.”(사 11:1,2)

        하나님의 영이신 성령을 받지 않고서는 지혜를 얻을 수가 없고 지혜가 없으면 하나님이 두려우신 분이신 줄 알지 못하게 되어 악하게 행할 수밖에 없는 것입니다. 하나님 편에서 볼 때 악한 사람은 하나님을 모르기 때문에 자신의 생각으로 행하는 사람인 것입니다. 성령을 받기 전의 사람의 마음 안에는 악한 생각으로 차 있다고 주님께서 말씀하셨습니다: “마음에서는 악한 생각과 살인과 음행과 도둑질과 거짓 증언과 모독이 나오느니라.”(마 15:19)

      다윗 왕 안에 계셨던 성령은 지금 시대에 거듭난 그리스도인 안에 계신 양자의 영이 아니고 하나님의 사역을 위한 종의 영이긴 하였지만 다윗은 성령 안에 있는 지혜를 통하여 하나님께서 전지전능하신 분이시며 무소부재하신 분이심을 깨닫고 그의 입술로 증거하고 있습니다.

      하나님께서 그의 앉고 서는 것뿐만 아니라 그의 생각까지도 아신다고 고백했습니다. 그의 가는 길과 그가 눕는 것도 샅샅이 아신다고 증거했습니다. 그가 하는 말 한 마디까지도 모두 들으신다고 고백했습니다. 또한 주께서는 그의 앞뒤에서 감싸시고 안수하신다고 말했습니다. 그가 주님의 눈을 벗어나 갈 곳이 천지 간에 아무 곳도 없으며 그가 지옥에 숨어서 잠자리를 마련한다 해도 주께서 거기 계신다는 것을 알았습니다. 심지어 그가 모태에 있었을 때에도 주께서 그를 덮으셨다고 증거했습니다. 그가 모태에 잉태되어 어떤 형체도 생기지 않았을 때에도, 그리고 그의 지체들이 전혀 없고 형성되어가는 중에도 주의 책에 자신의 이름이 이미 기록되어 있었다고 고백했습니다.

      그렇습니다! 하나님께서 주신 지혜는 창조주 하나님에 대하여 이렇게 속속들이 아는 것을 말하는 것입니다. 성령을 통하여 주시는 이런 하나님의 지혜를 아는 사람은 하나님을 두려워하지 않을 수 없는 것입니다. “하나님은 나를 사랑하시는 분이시다.” “나도 하나님을 사랑한다” 고 말하면서 죄를 지으며 악을 행하는 사람은 하나님을 모르는 사람인 것입니다. 하나님을 안다는 것은 그분이 나를 아시고 나도 그분을 안다는 관계를 말하는 것입니다. 하나님과 서로 아는 관계 안에 있는 사람은 하나님을 두려워하고 말 한 마디조차 조심하게 되며 하나님께서 가장 싫어하시는 죄와 악을 증오하면서 하나님께서 베푸신 너무도 크신 사랑을 생각하며 극도로 조심하는 삶을 살게 되는 것입니다.

      하나님을 두려워한다는 것은 전지전능하시고 무소부재하신 위대하신 하나님 앞에 선 자신의 모습을 보면서 하나님 앞에서 행여나 죄를 짓고 악을 행할까 극도로 조심하는 것을 말하는 것입니다. 이것은 하나님께서 주신 엄청난 은혜를 의심하면서 두려워 한다는 것과는 하늘과 땅의 차이인 것입니다. 이러한 두려움을 하나님을 두려워하는 것이 아니라 마귀를 두려워 하는 것이며 그 두려움에는 고통이 따른다고 사도 요한이 증거했습니다.(요일 4:18).

      다윗왕은 “나는 태에서부터 주께 맡겨졌으니 주는 모태에서부터 나의 하나님이시니이다.”(시 22:10)라고 고백했습니다. 또한 그는 악인들에 대하여 “악인들은 모태로부터 벗어났으며 그들은 태어나면서부터 거짓을 말하며 곁길로 나가는도다.”(시 58:3)라고 증거했습니다.

또 다시 자신에 대하여 “주께서 나를 모태에서부터 붙드셨으며 내 어머니의 배에서 나를 꺼내신 분도 주시니 내가 계속해서 주를 찬양하리이다.”(시 71:6)라고 증거했습니다.

      이 얼마나 놀라운 지혜입니까? 하나님께서는 우리들 역시 모태에서 잉태되었을 때부터 주님의 음성을 들었다는 것이니 사람의 지혜나 세상 지혜나 통치자들의 지혜로는 상상도 할 수 없는 지혜인 것입니다. 다윗왕은 모태에 있을 때부터 하나님이 자신의 하나님이셨다고 고백하는 것입니다. 그러기에 그가 세상에 막내아들로 태어났을 때 하나님을 두려워함으로 인해 몇마리 안되는 새끼양들을 치라는 아버지 이새의 말에 두려움으로 온전히 순종하면서 하나님을 두려워하는 삶을 살았던 것입니다.

        마지막 선지자 말라키는 에서가 야곱의 형제였지만 하나님께서 야곱은 사랑하였고 에서는 미워하셨다고 증거했습니다(말 1:2).

성령 안에서 말라기 선지자의 예언을 깨닫은 사도 바울은 더 자세하게 증거했습니다: “리브카도 한 사람, 곧 우리 조상 이삭에 의하여 잉태하였는데 아직 자식들이 나지도 아니하였고 또한 무슨 선이나 악을 행하지도 아니하였을 때에 택하심을 따른 하나님의 목적이 행함에 의해서가 아니라 부르시는 그분에 의해서 있게 하시려고 그녀에게 말하기를 ‘형이 아우를 섬기리라.’ 하였으니 기록된 바 ‘내가 야곱은 사랑하였고 에서는 미워하였노라.’함과 같으니라.”(롬 9:10-13)고 증거했습니다.

      사도 바울 역시 다윗과 같은 지혜를 가지고 자신 역시 하나님께서 모태로부터 사명을 주셨다는 것을 깨닫고 “나의 어미니의 태로부터 나를 선별하시고 은혜로 나를 부르신 하나님께서 나로 하여금 이방 가운데 그를 전파하도록 내 안에 그의 아들을 계시하시기를 기뻐하셨을 때 내가 즉시 혈과 육에 의논하지 아니하고 또 나보다 먼저 사도가 된 그들을 만나려고 예루살렘으로 올라가지도 아니하고 다만 아라비아로 갔다가 다시 다마스커스로 돌아갔노라.””(갈 1:15-17)고 증거했습니다.

      그가 비록 그리스도의 은혜의 복음을 유대인들과 이방인들에게 전파하는 사명을 모태로부터 받았지만 그 사명을 감당하지 못하게 방해하는 어두움의 세력으로 인해 한 때 악한 삶을 살았지만 마침내 주 예수 그리스도께서 친히 그를 부르시어 주신 사명을 감당케 하셨던 것입니다.

      이 시간 이 자리에서 에배드리면서 하나님의 말씀을 듣고 있는 우리 모두는 모태로부터 하나님께서 우리를 덮으셔서 우리의 형체가 완성되기도 전에 우리를 미리 아시고 우리를 부르셨기 때문에 주 예수 그리스도를 믿는 은혜를 주셔서 구원받게 하신 것이니 이 얼마나 놀라운 은혜입니까? 그러나 우리의 삶을 돌이켜 볼 때에 우리 역시 사도 바울처럼 한 때 세상신인 마귀의 속임수로 인하여 주님을 멀리할 때가 있었을 것입니다. 또한 앞으로도 마귀는 여전히 우리가 모태로부터 받은 사명을 감당치 못하게 하려고 계속 유혹할 것입니다. 우리 모두는 사도 바울이 증거한 것처럼 하나님의 목적에 따라 부름받은 사람들이며 하나님을 사랑하는 사람들이며 주님께서 우리 앞뒤에서 감싸시고 안수하셔서 모든 일을 합력하여 선을 이루시는 하나님의 목적 안에 있는 것입니다. 이 때문에 우리는 모든 일에 감사하면서 그리스도의 형상이 우리 안에 이루어질 때까지 하나님의 선하심을 의심하지 말고 그분을 신뢰하면서 두려윰과 떨림으로(빌 2:12) 그분의 뜻이 이루어질 때까지 앞으로 나아가야 하는 것입니다. 우리가 끊임없이 깨어 기도하면서 하나님 말씀 안에서 전신갑주를 입고 행할 때에 주님께서는 모태로부터 우리들과 이 교회를 통하여 이루실 위대하신 하나님의 계획들을 분명히 이루실 것입니다. 아멘! 할렐루야!

Meditation of the week: Psalms 71:1-14

Main scripture: Psalms 139:1-16

Subject: Are you walking in the word of wisdom with understanding?

       King David, man of wisdom of God fed his son, Solomon with the words of God. Solomon took the throne of David, his father at young age, and he seek the wisdom form God not asking for rich and glory. With the wisdom of God, he testified, “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy is understanding.”(Prov. 9:10)

      Jesus born in flesh as the son of David also spoke of the fear of God saying, “And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.”(matt. 10:28)

He meant not to fear any man nor anything but God. Solomon had already testified of the fear of God in the Holy Ghost saying, “The fear of man bringeth a snare: but whoso putteth his trust in the Lord shall be safe.”(Prov. 29:25)

        To fear the LORD God is to fear and tremble before God not just respect him. More we know of God, we shall walk in fear before his presence. Prophet Isaiah testified of the fear of God in the Spirit of God saying, “And there shall come forth a rod out of the stem of Jesse, and a Branch shall grow out of his roots:

And the spirit of the Lord shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the Lord.”(Isa. 11:1,2)

      It is impossible for man to have the wisdom of God unless he receives the Holy Ghost; and without wisdom of God, no one understand God as fearful One to walk in wickedness. Wicked man is the one that walk in his own thoughts being ignorant of God. The Lord Jesus testified of the heart of natural man saying, “For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies:”(Matt. 15:19)

       Though the Spirit of God within David was not the Spirit of son of adoption as the one that is in the heart of Christians, but the Spirit of servant for the ministry of God, he could testify of God understanding him as the one of Omnipotent, Omnipresent and Omniscient through the wisdom of God.

       He confessed, God knows his downsitting and uprising even his thoughts a far off.; and even a word in his tongue. He knew, the LORD God has beset him behind and before, and the hand of God was laid upon him; and there was no place where he ran away from the Spirit of God; and if he make his bed in hell, the LORD God is there; and even when he was in his mother’s womb, God covered him; and even when he was conceived in mother’s womb without any his substance yet be unperfect, and even when he was in the midst of his members of his body not formed yet, in the book of God those members were already written with his name.

       Yeah! The wisdom from God is to know God the Creator deeply in details. Whosoever understands the wisdom of God through the Holy Ghost cannot help fearing God. Someone that is   sinning continually in his wickedness, just saying, “God so loves me!” and “I also love him. “actually not know God. Knowing God means to know each other in the spiritual relationship. Whosoever is in such spiritual relationship with God is very cautious to say a word with fear and trembling before God; and hate sin and evil that is hated by God also, because of the greatest love and grace of God.

       Fearing God means is to find out himself as a miserable one before God of Omnipotent, Omnipresent and Omniscient, and trembling with caution not to sin before God. fear of God is totally different from the fear from doubting the grace of God as much as heaven and earth. Such kind of fear is not to fear God but actually fear the Devil. Apostle John testified of such kind of fear to be followed by torment (1John 4:18).

       King David confessed saying, “I was cast upon thee from the womb: thou art my God from my mother’s belly.”(Ps. 22;10)

He also testified of the wicked man saying, “The wicked are estranged from the womb: they go astray as soon as they be born, speaking lies.”(Ps. 58:3) And he also testified of himself saying, “By thee have I been holden up from the womb: thou art he that took me out of my mother’s bowels: my praise shall be continually of thee.”(Ps. 71:6)

        What a wondrous wisdom it is! Through his understanding, we are able to understand, even we also heard the voice of God even when we were just conceived in mothers’ womb. No one can understand this wisdom with the wisdom of man, and the wisdom of the world, and even wisdom of rulers in the world; no one can even imagine this wisdom of God. King David confessed, God was his God even when he was in his mother’s womb. So when he was born as eight’s son, he obeyed his father, Jesse as he feared the LORD God, and took care of a few sheep for his father with all his life.

       The last prophet, Malachi testified, God loves Jacob, but hates Esau, even though Esau is brother of Jacob (Mal. 1:2). Apostle Paul understood his prophesy in the Holy Ghost testified in more detail saying, “And not only this; but when Rebecca also had conceived by one, even by our father Isaac;

(For the children being not yet born, neither having done any good or evil, that the purpose of God according to election might stand, not of works, but of him that calleth;)

It was said unto her, The elder shall serve the younger.

As it is written, Jacob have I loved, but Esau have I hated.”(Rom. 9:10-13)

        Apostle Paul also understood the same wisdom of God as David, and he understood, God gave the ministry of the Lord Jesus when he was in his mother’s womb, and testified saying,

“But when it pleased God, who separated me from my mother’s womb, and called me by his grace,

To reveal his Son in me, that I might preach him among the heathen; immediately I conferred not with flesh and blood:

Neither went I up to Jerusalem to them which were apostles before me; but I went into Arabia, and returned again unto Damascus.”(Gal. 1:15-17)

        Even though he was given the ministry of the gospel of grace of Christ from his mother’s womb for the Jews and the Gentiles, he lived in his wickedness for some time because of the hindrance of the devil. But finally, the Lord Jesus Christ called him directly from heaven so that he could accomplish his ministry completely as he confessed.

        All of us, gathering together now in this place to worship the Lord. were also covered by God in the mother’s womb; and we known to God, even before our body was not perfectly formed, he foreknew us and called us so that we are saved by grace so that we believed on the Lord Jesus Christ. What a wondrous grace it is! When we recollect our life in the past, we also may have been away from God as Apostle Paul because of temptation of the devil; and the devil may tempt us continually for us not to work of the Lord. But as Apostle Paul testified for us, we are called according to the purpose of God; and we the ones that love God; and all things shall work together for good through the hand of God besetting us behind and before, and laying on us. This is the reason why we give thanks unto the Lord not doubting the goodness of God, and trusting in him with fear and trembling (Phil. 2:12) to press forward until the image of Christ is to formed within us. Praying continually being awaken, and being clothed by the whole armor of God that is the words of God, al the plan of God shall be done as he gave us from the mothers’ womb through us as well as this church. Amen! Hallelujah!
