금주의 묵상: 시편 121:1-8

본문: 요한일서 5:1-15

제목: 하나님께로부터 태어난 자에 대하여 하늘과 땅에서 주시는 증거

       사도 요한은 하나님의 자녀들에게 주신 세상을 이기는 믿음에 대하여 아주 중요한 증거를 하고 있습니다. 사도 요한 자신이 세상을 이기는 믿음을 가지고 엄청난 고난을 능히 이긴 것을 증거하면서 모든 하나님의 자녀들 역시 세상을 이기는 믿음을 이미 받았다고 증거하고 있는 것입니다.

      누구든지 예수가 그리스도이심을 믿는 사람은 누구나 하나님께로부터 태어난 자라고 증거했습니다. 사도 바울도 그리스도의 복음, 즉 그리스도이신 예수를 믿는 자들에게 주시는 하나님의 능력에 대하여 “그리스도의 복음은 믿는 사람을 구원에 이르게 하는 하나님의 능력이 됨이라. 첫째는 유대인에게요, 또한 헬라인에게로다.”(롬 1:16)라고 증거했습니다. 다시 말해서 성경에 예언된 대로 나타나신 그리스도이신 예수께서 세상 죄를 제거하시기 위해 죽으시고 장사되셨다가 성경대로 셋째 날에 살아나신 것을 믿는 사람은 하나님께서 성령을 통하여 친히 낳으신 자녀라는 것입니다.

     예수께서 자신을 믿지 않는 유대인들을 향하여 “성경을 상고하라. 이는 너희가 성경에 영생이 있다고 생각함이니, 그 성경은 나에 대하여 증거하고 있음이라. 너희는 생명을 얻으려고 내게 오기를 원치 아니하는도다.”(요 5:39,40)라고 말씀 하셨습니다. 또한 부활하신 후 제자들을 만나셔서 그들에게 다시 한 번 말씀하셨습니다: “이런 것이 내가 너희와 함께 있을 때 말했던 바 모세의 율법과 선지서들과 시편에 나에 관하여 기록된 모든 것이 이루어져야 한다던 그 말이니라. 고 하시고 그때 그들의 지각을 열어 성경을 깨닫게 하시더라. 또 그들에게 말씀하시기를 ‘그리스도가 고난을 당하는 것과 죽은 자들로부터 셋째 날에 살아나는 것이 기록되었으며, 또 그렇게 되어야 마땅하니라. 예루살렘에서 시작하여 모든 민족 가운데 그의 이름으로 회개와 죄사함이 선포되어야 하리라. 너희가 이 모든 일에 증인이니라.”(눅 24:44-47)

          사도 요한은 예수가 바로 성경에 예언된 그 그리스도이심을 믿어 하나님의 자녀가 된 사람들에 대하여 계속해서 증거했습니다. 무엇보다도 먼저 그들은 그들을 낳으신 하나님을 사랑한다는 것입니다. 뿐만 아니라 그분께로부터 태어난 자녀들도 사랑한다는 것입니다. 즉, 하나님께로부터 태어나서 성령으로 거듭난 사람은 사랑하라는 새 계명을 지키게 된다는 것입니다. 또한 하나님께로부터 태어난 사람에게 세상을 이기는 믿음을 주셨다고 증거했습니다.

           또한 예수가 그리스도이심을 믿는 자는 그분이 태초에 말씀으로 계셨으며 하나님과 함께 계셨던 말씀이신 만물을 창조하신 하나님(요 1;1-3)이심을 믿는 자라고 증거했습니다. 또한 말씀이신 하나님께서 육신을 입고 이 땅에 나타나셔서 세상 죄를 제거하시기 위해 선지자처럼 고난을 받으시고 십자가에서 물과 피를 다 쏟으시고 죽으신 후 셋째 날에 부활하신 그분 예수가 바로 그리스도라는 성령님의 증거를 믿는 자라는 것입니다.

        또한 예수가 그리스도라는 증거에 대하여 하늘과 땅에서 동시에 증거하고 있다고 사도 요한은 증거했습 니다. 하늘에서는 아버지와 말씀과 성령께서 친히 증거하시며 세 분이 하나시라고 증거했습니다. 뿐만 아니라 땅에서도 지난 이천 년 동안 성령과 예수께서 쏟으신 피와 물이 증거한다고 증거했습니다. 옛날 가인이 죽인 아벨의 핏소리가 땅에서부터 하나님께 부르짖었으며 땅이 입을 벌려 아벨의 피를 받았다고 (창 4:10,11)하나님께서 가인에게 말씀하신 것처럼 아벨처럼 죄없으신 예수 그리스도께서 쏟으신 물과 피가 하나님께 부르짖으신 것을 성령께서 복음전파자들의 입을 통하여 “예수 그리스도를 믿지 않는 것이 죄“라고 증거하고 있다는 것입니다.

          사도 요한은 하나님께서 하늘과 땅에서 지난 이천 년 동안 아들 예수 그리스도의 죽으심과 부활하심에 대하여 증거하시는 것을 믿지 않는 자들은 하나님을 거짓말쟁이로 만든다고 증거하고 있으며, 그들은 자신들이 죄가 없다고 여김으로써 예수 그리스도께서 흘리신 물과 피가 필요 없다고 주장함으로 그들을 죄인이라고 하시는 하나님을 거짓말쟁이로 만들고 있다고 증거했습니다.

            사도 요한은 하나님의 자녀들을 향하여 아주 중요한 또 한기지 증거했습니다. 하늘에서 아버지와 말씀과 성령께서 증거하시고, 땅에서는 성령과 물과 피가 주 예수 그리스도에 대하여 증거하시는 것처럼 하나님께서 그리스도 예수를 믿는 자들에게 영생을 주신 것과 이 생명이 그의 아들 안에 있다고 증거하신다는 것입니다. 즉, 하나님의 자녀들 안에 있는 영원한 생명에 대하여 하늘과 땅에서 동시에 증거하고 있는 엄청난 사실에 대해 말하고 있습니다. 이러한 하나님의 증거가 믿는 자 속에 있는 생명을 통하여 하나님의 자녀됨을 확증하게 하는 것입니다.

         마지막으로 사도 요한은 하나님의 자녀들이 받은 축복에 대하여, 생명을 받은 하나님의 자녀들은 하나님께서 주신 믿음의 선물을 통하여 담대함을 가지고 그분의 뜻대로 구함으로써 하나님께서 들으신 바 되고 또한 그분께 요청한 것들을 받은 줄로 아는 믿음을 가지고 세상을 이길 수 있다는 것입니다. 사도 바울은 빌립보 교회 성도들을 행하여 이 축복에 대하여 증거했습니다: “아무 것도 염려하지 말고 다만 모든 일에 기도와 간구로 너희의 구하는 것들을 감사함으로 하나님께 알려지게 하라. 그리하면 모든 지각을 초월하시는 하나님의 평강이 그리스도 예수 안에서 너희의 마음과 생각을 지키시리라.”(빌 4:6,7) 또한 사도 바울은 목회자 디모데에게도 하나님께서 주시는 능력에 대하여 증거습했니다: “하나님께서 우리에게 주신 것은 두려워하는 영이 아니라 능력과 사랑과 건전한 생각의 영이라.”(딤후 1:7)

           그렇습니다! 이 세상 신인 마귀는 지난 이천 년 동안 하나님의 자녀들에게 두려운 영을 주어 자신에게 굴복하게 하여 죄를 짓는 일을 쉬지 않고 하고 있지만 우리 하나님의 자녀들은 우리가 예수 그리스도 안에서 받은 영원한 생명에 대하여 하늘에서는 아버지와 말씀과 성령께서, 그리고 땅에서는 성령과 물과 피가 우리가 하나님의 자녀임을 친히 증거하고 있으니 이 증거를 의심케 하려는 마귀로부터 오는 두려운 영을 내어쫓으면서 믿음 가운데 세상을 이기는 삶을 살아야 하는 것입니다.

             사도 요한은 하나님의 자녀들이 잊지 말아야 할 아주 중요한 한 가지에 대하여 증거하고 있습니다: “사랑 안에는 두려움이 없나니, 온전한 사랑은 두려움을 쫓아내느니라. 이는 두려움에는 고통이 있음이라. 두려워하는 자는 사랑 안에서 온전해지지 못하였느니라.”(요일 4:18) 아멘! 할렐루야!

Meditation of the week: Psalms 121:1-8

Subject: The witness of God in heaven and earth toward the children of God

        Apostle John gave a very important testimony of the faith that overcome the world given unto the children of God. He testified of himself for his overcoming a great suffering with such faith; and at the same time, he testified, all the children of God have also the faith to overcome the world.

        He testified whosoever believes Jesus Christ as Christ are begotten of God. Apostle Paul also testified of the power of God given unto them that believe the gospel of Christ saying,

 “For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.”(Rom. 1:16)

In other word, whosoever believes Christ Jesus appeared according to the scriptures to take away the sin of the world through his death and burial and resurrection the third day is begotten of God.

          Jesus said unto the Jews that not believed in him saying,

“Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me.

40 And ye will not come to me, that ye might have life.”(John 5:39,40) He said unto his disciples again after he rose again from the dead saying, “These are the words which I spake unto you, while I was yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled, which were written in the law of Moses, and in the prophets, and in the psalms, concerning me.

Then opened he their understanding, that they might understand the scriptures,

And said unto them, Thus it is written, and thus it behoved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day:

And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.”(Luke 24:44-47)

       Apostle John continued to testify of the children of God that believe in Jesus as the Christ prophesied in the scriptures. First of all, they love God that gave birth to them. as well as the children that are begotten of God. The born again Christian of the Spirit is to keep the new commandment that Jesus asked to love; and they that are born of God are given the faith that overcome the world.

        And, they that believe Jesus as the Christ believe that he was the Word in the beginning with God, and he was God the Creator that made all things(John 1:1-3). And the Word was manifested in flesh in the earth; and suffered as prophets, and shed all the blood and waters to take away the sin of the world, and rose again the third day, as testified by the Holy Ghost.

      Of the testimony of Jesus as Christ, Apostle John testified, God testified in heaven and earth. .In heaven, the Father and the Word and the Holy Ghost testifies that are one; and in earth, the Spirit, and the water, and the blood shed by Jesus. As God said unto Cain, the blood of Abel that was killed by Cain cried unto God from the ground; and the earth had opened her mouth to receive the blood of Abel(Gen. 4:10,11), the blood and the water shed by Jesus who is sinless have been cried out of the mouth of the preachers saying, of sin because they not believe in Jesus Christ.

        Apostle John testified of them that not have believed of the death of Christ, and his resurrection for last two thousand years saying, they have been making God as a liar thinking, they not need the blood and the water shed by Jesus ignoring the word of God saying them sinners.

        Apostle John made a very important testimony toward the children of God. As the Father and the Word and the Holy Ghost testifies in heaven, and the Spirit and the water and the blood testifies of the death and resurrection of Christ in earth, he testified, the life is given unto them that believe on Jesus Christ; and the life is in the Son of God. In other word, The eternal life in the children of God is testified in heaven and in earth at the same time. And this is a great truth.

        Finally, of the blessing of the children of God that received the life eternal, Apostle John testified , they have boldness through the gift of faith, and they ask any thing according to the will of God to be heard by him, and to have the faith that receive that they desire of him., and overcome the world with that faith.

Apostle Paul also testified of this blessing unto the saint of Philippians saying,

“Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.

And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.(Phil. 4:6,7)

He also testified of the power of God unto Timothy saying,

“For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.”(2Tim. 1:7)

       Yeah! The Devil, the prince of the world has been trying to give the spirit of fear unto the children of God for last two thousand years so that they may surrender unto him to sin against God without ceasing. But knowing the eternal life given in Jesus Christ has been testified for us as the children of God by the Father and the Word and the Holy Ghost in heaven, and the Spirit and the water and the blood in earth, we can cast out the spirit of fear from the Devil, and the world.

        Apostle John testified of the one thing very important that not supposed to be forgotten by the children of God saying,

“There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.”(1John 4:18) Amen! Hallelujah!
