금주의 묵상: 시편 46:1-11

본문: 출애굽기 12:1-30

제목: 하나님의 어린 양, 주 예수 그리스도의 피의 능력

        하나님께서는 하늘과 땅에 대한 자신의 뜻을 이루시려고 아브라함을 불러내셔서 지금의 팔레스타인 땅인 카나안 땅으로 인도하셨습니다. 그리하여 하나님께서는 자신이 전능하신 하나님이심을 아브라함에게 나타내시려고 오랫 동안 아브라함과 더불어 말씀하셨습니다. 주 하나님께서 그에게 그의 고향과 친족과 아비 집을 떠나서 자신이 그에게 보여줄 땅으로 가라는 말씀을 주시면서 그와 언약을 하셨습니다: “내가 너로 큰 민족을 이루게 할 것이며 네게 복을 주고 네 이름을 위대하게 하리니, 너는 복이 되리라. 너를 축복하는 자들에게 내가 복을 주고 너를 저주하는 자를 저주하리라. 네 안에서 땅의 모든 민족이 복을 받을 것이라.”(창 12:2,3) 아브람이 칠십 세가 되었을 때 주께서 말씀하신 대로 떠났습니다.

          아브람이 그의 자손을 통하여 모든 민족이 복을 받을 것이라는 약속을 받았지만 그에게는 오랜 세월 동안 어떤 아들도 주시지 않았습니다. 이런 일 후에 주 하나님의 말씀이 환상 가운데 그에게 임하셨습니다: “아브람아, 두려워 말라. 나는 너의 방패요, 너의 지극히 큰 상이니라.(창 15:1) 이때에 아브람은 자신에게 아들을 주시지 않은 것에 대하여 “나는 자식이 없사오니, 내 집의 청지기가 다마스커스의 엘리에셀이오니, 주 하나님이여, 나에게 무엇을 주시려나이까?”(창 15:2) 라고 질문했습니다. 그때에 하나님께서 “이 사람은 너의 상속자가 되지 않을 것이니, 네 자신의 몸에서 나올 자가 네 상속자가 되리라.”(창 15:4)고 말씀하심으로써 팔십이 넘은 자신이나 사라가 고령이 되어 자식을 출산할 수 있는 때가 훨신 지났음에도 아브라함과 사라 사이에 아들을 낳을 것이라고 말씀하신 것입니다.

        아들 하나조차도 낳을 가능성이 거의 없는 상황 속에서 하나님께서는 밤에 아브람을 밖으로 데리고 나가서 그에게 말씀하셨습니다: “이제 하늘을 쳐다보고 별들을 셀 수 있다면 그 별들을 세어 보아라….너의 씨가 이와 같으리라.”(창 15:5)

아브람은 그에게 말씀하신 주 하나님을 믿었습니다. 이 때에 하나님께서는 그가 자신의 말씀을 믿은 것에 대해 의롭게 여기셨습니다.

          아브람의 믿음을 의롭개 여기신 하나님께서는 마침내 아브람에게 그의 자손들이 영원히 거할 땅에 대한 언약을 하셨습니다: “내가 이 땅을 이집트 강에서부터 큰 강 유프라테스까지 네 씨에게 주었으니 켄인들과 크리스인들과 캇몬인들과 힛인들과 르파인들과 프리스인들과 르파인들과 아모리인들과 카나안인들과 기르가스인들과 여부스인들의 땅이니라.”(창 15:18-21)

하나님께서는 아브람에게 그의 자손들이 지금의 팔레스타인 땅 전체를 영원히 차지하게 될 것이라는 언약을 하신 것입니다.

          그러나 그의 자손들이 차지하게 될 땅에 대한 약속을 하시기 전에 하나님께서는 아브람에게 그의 자손들이 약속의 땅을 차지하기 전에 겪어야 할 일에 대해 미리 말씀하셨습니다: “너는 분명히 알지니 네 씨가 자기 땅이 아닌 곳에서 타국인이 되어 그들을 섬길 것이요, 그들이 사백 년 동안 네 자손을 괴롭게 하겠고 그들이 섬길 그 민족을 내가 또한 심판하리니 그들이 큰 재물을 가지고 나오리라.”(창 15:13,14)

       하나님께서는 자신의 말씀을 이루시려고 아브라함의 증손자인 요셉을 택하시고 그에게 꿈을 통하여 그를 통하여 하나님께서 이루실 표적을 주시고 그로 하여금 믿고 고백하게 하심으로써 그의 형제들에게 미움을 사게 하셔서 그를 타국땅인 이집트 땅으로 먼저 보내셨던 것입니다. 마침내 파라오의 꿈을 하나님의 지혜로 해석하게 하셔서 어느날 갑자기 이집트의 둘째 통치자로 세우셨던 것입니다. 하나님께서 파라오에게 꿈을 통하여 보여주신 것처럼 칠 년 풍년 후에 칠년 기근이 온 땅에 오게 되었을 때 모든 나라에서 곡식을 사려고 이집트에 있는 요셉에게로 올 수밖에 없는 상황이 되게 하셨으며, 마침내 이스라엘 자손들이 모두 이집트로 들어오게 하심으로써 하나님께서 아브람에게 말씀하신 것을 이루셨습니다. 그들이 사백삽십 년을 이집트 땅에서 사는 동안 처음 삽십 년은 요셉과 요셉을 총애하는 파라오 아래서 평안한 삶을 살 수 있었지만 마침내 하나님께서는 자신의 말씀을 이루시기 위하여 요셉이 죽은 후 요셉을 모르는 새 왕이 일어나서 이집트를 통치하면서 그들을 핍박하면서 그들 모두를 종으로 삼아 노역을 하게 하여 사백 년 동안 타국땅에서 종살이할 것이라는 말씀을 이루셨던 것입니다.

          이제 마침내 하나님께서는 그들을 종으로 삼아 괴롭혔던 민족 즉 이집트인들을 심판하시기 위하여 모세와 아론을 부르셔서 이집트 땅에 온갖 재앙을 일으키심으로써 그들을 심판하셨으며 마침내 마지막 이집트에 있는 모든 첫태생을 짐승으로부터 왕궁에 있는 왕의 장자까지 모두 죽이시는 심판을 하시기 전에 이스라엘 사람들을 보호하시기 위해 지시하신 말씀을 전하게 하신 것입니다. 하나님께서는 모세를 통하여 이스라엘 장로들에게 말씀하셨습니다: “너희는 너희 가족 수대로 어린 양 한 마리를 골라내어 가져다가 유월절 양으로 잡고 우슬초 다발을 만들어 대야에 있는 피에 적셔서 대야에 있는 피로 문 인방과 양쪽 기둥에다 뿌리고 너희 중 아무도 아침까지 각기 집 문 밖으로 나가지 말지니라. 주께서 이집트인들을 치려고 두루 다니시리니 문 인방과 양쪽 기둥에 피를 보시면 주께서 그 문을 지나치실 것이며 멸망시키는 자로 너희 집에 들어가서 너희를 치도록 허락하지 않으실 것임이니라.”(출 12:21-23)

       하나님께서 유월절 양에 대하여 미리 말씀하실 때에, 어린 양이 흠 없는 얄 년 된 수컷이어야 하며, 그날 밤에 그 고기를 먹을 때에 불에 구워서 누룩 없는 빵과 쓴 나물과 함께 먹을 것이며 날 것으로 먹거나 절대 물에 삶아서 먹지 말고 불에 구워서 머리와 다리와 그 내장까지 구워 먹으라고 말씀하셨습니다(출 12:5,8,9)

            하나님께서는 자신이 이집트인들을 심판하시기 전에 자신의 백성들을 보호하실 모든 조치를 취하게 하신 것입니다. 오랜 후에 이스라엘 백성이 약속의 땅에 들어가서 살 때에 그들이 범죄할 때마다 하나님께서는 여러가지 재앙을 보내셔서 그들을 심판하셨습니다. 기근으로, 때로는 전염병으로 그리고 마지막으로는 이방민족들을 사용하셔서 그들의 칼날로 그들을 심판하셨던 것입니다. 이방민족을 심판하실 때나 자신의 택한 민족을 심판하실 때나 하나님께서는 사람의 눈에는 자연적인 천재지변으로 보여지지만 모든 재앙은 하나님께로부터 왔던 것입니다.

        하나님께서는 이스라엘 백성들을 자신이 내리시는 심판으로부터 그들을 구원하시기 위해 어린 양의 피를 사용하셨습니다. 다시 말해서 마땅히 죽어야 할 장소에 그들 역시 있었지만 그들의 집 문 밖에 어린 양의 피를 발랐을 때 죽음의 천사가 그들을 죽이지 않고 넘어갔던 것입니다. 또한 하나님께서는 그 날을 유월절로 율례로 삼아 영원히 지키라고 명령하셨습니다. 침례인 요한은 예수께서 침례받으시기 위하여 요단강에 오셨을 때 이스라엘 백성들을 향하여 외쳤습니다: “보라, 세상 죄를 제거하는 하나님의 어린 양이라”(요 1:29)

          유월절을 지키고 있었던 유대인들에게는 어린 양이라는 말을 들었을 때 그들이 유월절에 먹었던 일 년 된 수컷 어린 양을 상기할 수밖에 없었습니다. 어린 양의 피를 발라서 죽음을 면했던 그들의 조상들을 기억하였을 것입니다. 그런데 그들 앞에 어린 양이 아닌 젊은 청년이 바로 어린 양이며 세상 죄를 제거하는 어린 양이라는 말을 들었던 것입니다. 다시 말해서 그들 역시 죽음을 면하기 위해서는 그 어린 양을 먹어야 했으며 그의 피를 발라야하는 지경이 될 수밖에 없었지만 그들은 알지 못했습니다. 마침내 예수께서 광야에서 그들을 배불리 먹이신 후에 말씀하셨습니다:

“진실로 진실로 내가 너희에게 말하노니, 너희가 인자의 살을 먹지 않고 또 그의 피를 마시지 아니하면 너희 안에 생명이 없느니라. 내 살을 먹고 내 피를 마시는 자는 누구든지 영원한 생명을 가졌나니 내가 그를 마지막 날에 살리리라. 이는 내 살은 참된 양식이요, 내 피는 참된 음료임이라. 내 살을 먹고 내 피를 마시는 자는 내 안에 거하며 나도 그 안에 거하느니라.”(요 6:53-56)

         예수께서는 그들의 조상들이 어린 양의 피를 문 밖에 바르고 어린 양의 고기를 먹음으로써 죽지 않고 살았던 것처럼 그들이 자신의 살을 먹고 자신의 피를 마시지 않으면 영원히 죽게 되어 멸망할 것을 말씀하신 것입니다. 또한 자신이 바로 유월절 날에 그들의 조상들을 죽지 않게 한 어린 양이 자신이심을 증거하시기 위하여 여섯 시간 동안 벌거벗으신채로 십자가에 매달리셔서 자신의 몸이 마치 불에 구운 것처럼 되게 하신 것입니다.

            율법에 나타난 것들은 다가올 것들의 그림자이지만 몸은 그리스도시라(골 2:17)고 사도바울이 증거했습니다. 또한 유월절이 영원한 율례라고 말씀하신 것처럼 이제는 더 이상 어린 양을 죽여서 밖에 바르고 그 고기를 불에 구워 먹는 유월절이 아니라 불에 구워지셔서 죽으신 어린 양이신 그분을 구세주로 영접하여 그분의 살을 먹고 그분의 피를 믿음으로써 그 피가 양심에 발라져서 양심 속에 들어있는 모든 죄들이 모두 제거되어 정결케 되는 것(히 9:14)만이 둘째 사망인 불못을 면하는 유일한 길이 된 것입니다. 오늘날 하나님의 자녀들이 살고 있는 세상이 바로 이집트 같은 곳이며 이 세상을 통치하고 있는 미귀가 바로 파라오 같은 사탄 마귀인 것입니다. 그러므로 유대인이나 이방인이나 차별 없이 그리스도를 믿는 자들은 하나님의 교회가 되어 그리스도의 피를 발라 죽어도 살고, 살아서 믿는 자는 영원히 죽지 아니하리라(요 11:25,26)는 말씀대로 그리스도의 보혈을 통하여 죄사함을 받은 사람들은 영원한 사망인 불못(계 20:14)으로부터 구원받게 된 것입니다.

          조만간 주 에수 그리스도께서 자신의 신부인 교회를 하늘나라로 들려올라가게 하신 후, 어린 양이 여섯째 봉인을 여실 때 일어날 일을 본 사도 요한이 증거했습니다:

“보라, 큰 지진이 나며 해가 머리털로 짠 천같이 검어지고 달은 피처럼 되었으며, 하늘의 별들이 마치 무화과나무가 강한 바람에 흔들려 설익은 무화과가 떨어지듯이 땅에 떨어지며 하늘은 두루마리같이 말려서 쓸려 가고 모든 산과 섬도 각기 제 자리에서 옮겨졌으니 땅의 왕들과 위대한 자들과 대장들과 힘 있는 자들과 모든 종과 모든 자유인이 각자 토굴과 산들의 바위 틈에 숨어서 산들과 바위들에게 말하기를 ‘우리 위에 떨어져서 보좌에 앉으신 분의 얼굴과 어린 양의 진노에서 우리를 숨기라. 이는 그분의 진노의 큰 날이 임하였음이니 누가 감히 설 수 있으리요?’ 하더라.”(계 6:12-17)

          그러나 그리스도의 살과 피를 먹고 마심으로써 거룩하게 된 하나님의 교회는 이집트 같은 세상이 심판받게 될 대 환란으로부터 구해냄을 받아 그리스도의 날에 이 세상을 떠나 우리 주 예수 그리스도를 만나게 되는 것입니다. 뿐만 아니라 대 환란을 지나면서 회개하는 이스라엘의 남은 자들도 이 땅에 쏟아지는 재앙으로부터 구해냄을 받게 될 것입니다. 성령께서는 시편 기자를 통하여 미리 예언하게 하셨습니다:

 “하나님은 우리의 피난처요 힘이시며, 고난 중에 나타나시는 도움이시라. 그러므로 땅이 없어지고 산들이 바다 가운데로 옮겨진다 해도 우리가 두려워하지 아니하리니 바닷물이 노호하고 요동할지라도 바닷물이 불어나서 산들이 흔들릴지라도우리가 두려워하지 아니하리라….내가 주에 관하여 말하기를 그는 나의 피난처시요 요새시요, 나의 하나님이시니 내가 그를 신뢰하리라 하였도다. 참으로 그가 너를 새 사냥꾼의 덫과 지독한 전염병에서 건져내시리라. 그가 너를 자기 깃털로 덮으시리니 네가 그 날개 아래 피하리로다. 그의 진리가 너의 작은 방패와 큰 방패가 되리니 네가 밤에 공포나 낮에 날아가는 화살이나 어둠 속에서 만연하는 전염병이나 백주에 황폐케 하는 멸망을 두려워하지 아니하리로다. 천 명이 네 옆에서 만 명이 네 오른편에서 쓰러질 것이나 네게는 가까이 오지 못하리라. 오직 네가 네 눈으로 보게 되리니 악인의 보응을 보리로다. 네가 나의 피난처이신 주, 곧 지극히 높으신 분을 네 처소로 삼았으므로 어떠한 재앙도 네게 닥치지 못하며 어떠한 전염병도가까이 하지 못하리라.이는 그가 너를 위하여 자기 천사들에게 명하시어 너희 모든 길에서 너를 지키게 하실 것임이라.”(시 46:1-3; 91:1-11) 아멘! 할렐루야!

Meditation of the week: Psalms 46:1-11

Subject: Power of the blood of Lamb of God, Jesus Christ

The LORD God called out Abram to fulfill his will in heaven and earth, and led him unto the land of Canaan that is the land of Palestine. And he had spoke unto him to reveal himself the Almighty God for a long time period. The LORD God spoke unto him to get out of his country, and from his kindred, and from his father’s house. unto the land that he will show him; and God gave a covenant unto him saying:

“And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing:

And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.”(Gen. 12:2,3)

Abram departed at his age of seventy five as God spoke unto him.

          Even though Abram received a promise from God that all nations shall be blessed through his seed, but no a son at all had been born for a long time. After these things, the word of the LORD came unto him in a vision saying, “Fear not, Abram: I am thy shield, and thy exceeding great reward.”(Gen. 15:1)

Abram answered back unto the LORD saying,

“what wilt thou give me, seeing I go childless, and the steward of my house is this Eliezer of Damascus.”(Gen. 15:2)

Then the LORD still spoke unto him saying,

“This shall not be thine heir; but he that shall come forth out of thine own bowels shall be thine heir.”(Gen. 15:3)

God still spoke unto him to have a son between him and Sarah even though his age far beyond eighty as well as Sarah old age not to be able to give a birth a son.

        In the midst of no possibility to have child, God brought him outside in the night, and said unto him,

“Look now toward heaven, and tell the stars, if thou be

be able to number them: and he said unto him, So shall thy seed be.”(Gen. 12:5)

Then, Abram believed in the LORD; and he counted it to him for righteousness.

          Recognizing his righteousness through his faith, the LORD gave him a covenant of the land where his seed shall dwell forever saying,

“ Unto thy seed have I given this land, from the river of Egypt unto the great river, the river Euphrates:

The Kenites, and the Kenizzites, and the Kadmonites,

And the Hittites, and the Perizzites, and the Rephaims,

And the Amorites, and the Canaanites, and the Girgashites, and the Jebusites.”(Gen. 15:18-21)

God gave unto Abram and his seed to occupy the whole land of Palestine.

           Before the LORD God gave the covenant of the land, he spoke unto him of the things that his children must pass through before they return to the promised land saying,

“Know of a surety that thy seed shall be a stranger in a land that is not theirs, and shall serve them; and they shall afflict them four hundred years;

And also that nation, whom they shall serve, will I judge: and afterward shall they come out with great substance.”(Gen. 15:13,14)

          To fulfill his will, the LORD God chose Joseph, a grand son of Abraham; and showed him a sign in his dream, and let him confess it unto his brothers so that they hated him; and let them send him as a slave to Egypt. God let him explain about the dream of Pharaoh with the wisdom of God; and he became the second ruler of Egypt all of sudden. As God showed in the dream of Pharaoh, seven years famine came to pass all over the face of the earth after seven years of great plenty; all the countries came into Egypt to Joseph to buy corn. Finally, the children of Israel came to Egypt to fulfill the word of God spoke unto Abram before. They had lived in Egypt for 430 years; for the first 30 years, they had peaceful life under the Pharaoh who honored Joseph, but the rest of 400 years, they were persecuted as slaves by the new Pharaoh after Joseph died. The word of the LORD was fulfilled as he spoke unto Abram.

        Afterwards, the LORD God called out Moses and Aaron to judge Pharaoh of Egypt; and sent all kinds of wrath unto them. At the end, God decided to kill all the first born from animals even to the prince of Pharaoh in the Palace. Before God judge Pharaoh, God deliver the message unto the elders of Israel through Moses saying,

“ Draw out and take you a lamb according to your families, and kill the passover.

And ye shall take a bunch of hyssop, and dip it in the blood that is in the basin, and strike the lintel and the two side posts with the blood that is in the basin; and none of you shall go out at the door of his house until the morning.

For the Lord will pass through to smite the Egyptians; and when he seeth the blood upon the lintel, and on the two side posts, the Lord will pass over the door, and will not suffer the destroyer to come in unto your houses to smite you.”(Ex 12:21-23)

        When God spoke of the lamb of Passover before hand, said them, it should be without blemish, a male of the first year; and they shall eat the flesh in that night, roast with fire, and unleavened bread; and with bitter herbs they shall eat it; and eat not of it raw, nor sodden at all with water, but roast with fire, his head with his legs, and with the internal organs thereof (Ex. 12:5,8,9)

            God prepared things to protect his people before he judged Egyptians. The LORD God also judged even his people whenever they sinned in the promised land using famine, or pestilence or the sword of the Gentiles at the end. All the wrath of God against the Gentile nations or the people of Israel seems to be natural disasters to the eyes of man, but all of them come from God.

          The LORD God used the blood of lamb to deliver his people from the judgment against Egyptians. In other word, though they were living in the land of Egypt unto death, the angels of death passed over them seeing the blood of lamb sprinkled out side of their houses. God commanded them to ask their children to observe the Passover for an ordinance forever. John the Baptist cried out unto the Jews when Jesus came to him to be baptized saying,

“Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.”(John 1:29)

           Upon hearing of the Lamb of God, the Lamb of God must have reminded them of the lamb that they used to eat at the feast of Passover, and they must have remembered their fathers in Egypt were delivered from death sprinkled the blood of lamb outside their houses. But now they heard from John the Baptist saying a young man standing before them the very Lamb of God. In other word, they had to eat the Lamb of God to be delivered from death, and also they had to strike his blood; but they couldn’t understand at all. Finally, Jesus spoke unto them after he fed them in the wilderness saying,

 “Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, ye have no life in you.

54 Whoso eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day.

55 For my flesh is meat indeed, and my blood is drink indeed.

56 He that eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, dwelleth in me, and I in him.”(John 6:53-56)

       Jesus spoke unto them literally, they had to eat his flesh and drink his blood to be delivered from eternal death as their fathers were delivered from death through eating the lamb and striking the blood of lamb. To testify himself the Lamb of God that delivered their fathers from death, Jesus was crucified for six hours totally naked on the cross until his body was burned as his body was roasted with fire as the lamb in the day of Passover in Egypt.

        As testified by Apostle Paul, all things in the law are a shadow of things to come; but the body is of Christ (Col. 2:17). As God the Passover is the eternal ordinance for the Jews, the eternal Passover is no more to kill lambs to eat the roasted body of them, and striking their blood, but to eat the Lamb of God that died making his body roasted on the cross, and drink his blood through believing on him as the Savior so that his blood may strike on the conscience to take away the sins within it to be sanctified (Heb. 9:14). This is the only way to be protected form the lake of fire that is the eternal death. The present world where the children of God are living is the same place as Egypt; and the Satan that is ruling the world is as Pharaoh of Egypt. Therefore, whether Jews or Gentiles without difference, they that believe on the Lord Jesus Christ is to be the church of God striking the blood of Jesus Christ unto their conscience. Jesus said, “He that believes in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live; and whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die.”(John 11:25,26)

              Soon or later, after the Lord Jesus Christ take his bride that is the church of God up to heavenly kingdom, Jesus the Lamb of God will open the sixth seal; Apostle John testified of the things that he saw saying,

 “And I beheld when he had opened the sixth seal, and, lo, there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became as blood;

And the stars of heaven fell unto the earth, even as a fig tree casteth her untimely figs, when she is shaken of a mighty wind.

And the heaven departed as a scroll when it is rolled together; and every mountain and island were moved out of their places.

And the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the rich men, and the chief captains, and the mighty men, and every bondman, and every free man, hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains;

And said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb:

For the great day of his wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand?”(Rev. 6:12-17)

         But the church of God that is sanctified through eating the flesh of Christ and drinking his blood shall be delivered from the Great Tribulation when the world is to be judged as Egypt was judged to see the Lord Jesus Christ getting out of the wicked world. Not only the church of God, but also the remnant of Israel that shall repent in the midst of the Great Tribulation shall be delivered from the wrath poured unto the world. The Holy Ghost made the psalmists prophesy of this long time ago saying,

“God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.

Therefore will not we fear, though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea;

Though the waters thereof roar and be troubled, though the mountains shake with the swelling thereof. Selah….He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.

I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.

Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence.

He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler.

Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day;

Nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness; nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday.
