금주의 묵상: 시편 17:1-15

본문: 갈라디아서 4:19-31

제목: 몸 안에 그리스도가 형성되고 있는가?

        사도 바울은 여전히 율법을 따르는 갈라디아 인들에게 율법과 그리스도가 함께 할 수 없음에 대하여 증거하고 있습니다. 그가 로마에 있는 그리스도인들에게 편지할 때에도 주 예수 그리스도를 믿고 그분 안에 거하는 그리스도인들은 죄와 사망의 법으로부터 해방되어 생명의 성령의 법 안에 있다고 증거하면서 육신 안에 있는 죄와 사망의 법을 따라가지 말고, 다시말해서 더 이상 죄의 몸을 따라가지 말고 영 안에 계신 성령을 따라 감으로써 정죄함 없는 생명과 평안의 삶을 살아야 한다고 권면했습니다.

          그러므로, 육신의 생각을 더 이상 따라가지 말고 영적인 하나님의 말씀을 따라서 진리 안에서 행할 때 생명과 평안을 누리게 된다고 증거한 것입니다. 그리하여 성령으로 거듭난 그리스도인들은 진리인 하나님의 말씀을 받아 안 에 채우고 그 말씀 안에서 행할 때 그 말씀이 육신이 되는 삶을 살게 되며 말씀이신 그리스도께서 안에 형성된다는 진리를 증거한 것입니다. 가브리엘 천사가 전해준 말씀을 믿고 영접했을 때 마리아의 몸 안에 그리스도께서 잉태하신 것처럼 성령을 통하여 깨달은 하나님의 말씀을 믿음으로 받아들여 그 말씀 안에서 행할 때 말씀이신 그리스도가 안에 형성되는 것입니다.

              사도 바울은 갈라디아인들을 향하여 그들 안에 그리스도가 형성되기 위하여 다시 한 번 산고를 치른다고 말했습니다. 다시 한 번이란 말은 그들을 성령으로 거듭나게 할 때에 한 번 산고를 치렀는데 이제 다시 한 번 더 산고를 치르는 고통을 받고 있다고 증거한 것입니다. 그가 고린도교회 성도들에게 편지할 때에 “너희가 그리스도 안에서 일만 명의 스승을 가졌을지라도 아비들은 많지 아니하니 그리스도 예수 안에서 복음을 통하여 내가 너희를 낳았음이라.”(고전 4;15)고 증거했습니다. 수많은 사람들이 스스로 스승들이 되어 성경을 가르치고 있었지만 영원한 생명을 주는 그리스도의 복음을 전하지 못함으로 인해 그들을 거듭나게 하지 못하고 지식적인 종교인들로 만들고 있었지만 자신은 생명을 주는 복음을 전함으로써 그들을 영적으로 다시 태어나게 하여 영적인 아비가 되었다고 증거한 것입니다.

              다윗 왕은 하나님 앞에서 자신의 소원을 기도로 말씀드렸습니다:

 “오 주여 주의 손인 사람들과 이생에서 자기들의 몫을 받은 세상 사람들로부터 나의 혼을 구하소서. 주께서 주의 감추어진 보화로 그들의 배를 채우셨으니 그들은 자녀들로 가득하고 그들의 남은 재산을 자기들의 아기들에게 남겨 주나이다. 나, 나는 의 가운데서 주의 얼굴을 보리니 내가 깨면 주의 모습으로 만족하리이다.”(시 17:14,15)

              사도 바울은 빌립보 교회 성도들에게 편지할 때에 그 교회의 거듭난 성도들이 휴거될 때에 그들의 몸이 영광스러운 주 예수 그리스도의 몸같이 변화될 것에 대하여 증거했습니다:

 “우리의 시민권은 하늘에 있으므로 우리가 그곳으로부터 오실 구주이신 주 예수 그리스도를 기다리고 있으니 그가 만물을 자신에게 복종시키는 그 능력의 역사로 인하여 우리의 천한 몸을 그분의 영광스러운 몸같이 변모시키리라.”(빌 3:20,21)

             사도 요한도 하나님의 거듭난 자녀들에게 편지할 때에 동일한 증거를 했습니다:

“사랑하는 자들아, 이제는 우리가 하나님의 아들들이라. 우리가 어떻게 될 것인지는 아직 나타나지 아니하였으나 그가 나타나시면 우리가 그와 같이 되리라는 것을 아노니, 이는 우리가 그분 그대로 볼 것이기 때문이라. 그분 안에서 이 소망을 가진 사람은 누구나 그분이 정결하신 것처럼 자신을 정결케 하느니라.”(요일 3;2,3)

             주님께서 마지막 기도를 하실 때, 제자들을 거룩하게 하는 일에 대하여 “아버지의 진리로 그들을 거룩하게 하여 주옵소서. 아버지의 말씀은 진리니이다.”(요 17:17)라고 말씀하심으로써 사람을 정결케 하여 거룩하게 하는 것은 오로지 하나님의 말씀이라고 말씀하신 것입니다. 사도 바울도 에베소 교회 성도들에게 편지할 때에 성도들을 거룩하게 하는 것에 대하여 “이는 그가 교회를 말씀에 의한 물로 씻어 거룩하게 하시고 깨끗게 하사 자기 앞에 영광스러운 교회로 나타내서 점이나 주름진 것이나 또는 그러한 것들이 없이 거룩하고 흠 없게 하려 하심이라.”(엡 5:26,27)고 증거했습니다.

              우리가 죄를 지을 때마다 회개하고 자백하게 될 때에 하나님께서는 우리 죄들을 용서하시고 모든 불의에서 깨끗하게 하시지만 거룩하게 되기 위해서는 깨끗해진 마음 안에 진리의 말씀으로 채우고 그 진리의 말씀 안에서 행하게 될 때에 거룩해지며 동시에 그리스도의 형상이 우리 안에 이루지게 되는 것입니다.

            사도 바울은 그리스도인들의 부활에 대하여 고린도교회 성도들에게 증거했습니다:

 첫째 사람은 땅에서 나서 흙으로 만들어졌으나 둘째 사람은 하늘에서 나신 주시니라. 무릇 흙으로 만들어진 사람은 흙으로 지음받은 것들과 같고 무릇 하늘에서 나신 분은 하늘에 있는 것들과 같으니 우리가 흙으로 만들어진 자의 형상을 입은 것같이 하늘에 속한 분의 형상도 입으리라.”(고전 15:47-49)

             사도 바울은 거듭난 하나님의 자녀들의 부활에 대하여 증거하기 전에 부활을 믿지 않는 자연인들을 향하여 자연계시 안에 숨겨져 있는 신비에 대하여 먼저 증거했습니다:

“그러나 어떤 사람들이 말하기를 ‘죽은 자들이 어떻게 일으켜지며 또 어떤 몸으로 오는가?’라고 하니 너 어리석은 자야, 네가 뿌린 씨가 죽지 않으면 살아나지 못하리라. 또 네가 뿌리는 것은 앞으로 될 형체를 뿌리는 것이 아니라 밀이나 다른 씨앗의 알맹이일 뿐이나 하나님께서는 자기 뜻대로 씨앗에다 형체를 주시되 씨앗마다 그 고유한 형체를 주시느니라. 모든 육체가 다 같은 육체가 아니니 어떤 것은 사람의 육체요, 어떤 것은 짐승의 육체며, 어떤 것은 물고기의 육체요, 또 어떤 것은 새의 육체라. 또한 하늘에 속한 몸들도 있고 땅에 속한 몸들도 있으나 하늘에 속한 것들의 영광이 다르고 땅에 속한 것들의 영광도 다르니라. 하나는 해의 영광이요 또 하나는 달의 영광이며, 또 다른 하나는 별들의 영광이니 이는 영광에 있어 한 별이 다른 별과 다르기 때문이라. 죽은 자들의 부활도 이와 같으니 썩을 것으로 심고 썩지 아니하는 것으로 일으켜지며 수치로 심겨서 영광된 것으로 일으켜지며 약한 것으로 심겨서 영적인 몸으로 일으켜지느니라. 육신의 타고난 몸이 있고 또 영적인 몸이 있느니라.”(고전 15:35-44)

               그렇습니다! 사람을 제외하고 모든 피조물은 그들의 씨 안에 이미 그들의 몸의 형체가 들어있어 땅에 심겨지거나 암컷의 태 안에 떨어지게 될 때에 그 고유의 모습으로 태어나기도 하고 씨앗의 경우 땅에 떨어져 심긴 후에 썩어서 싹이 나게 될 때에 그 식물의 모습으로 나타나게 되는 것입니다. 그러나 씨앗 안에 씨가 없으면 땅에 떨어져 썩게 될 때에 싹이 날 수 없는 것입니다. 마찬가지로 사람도 죽게 될 때에 한 알의 씨앗처럼 땅에 묻히게 되는데 그 몸 안에 생명의 씨가 없으면 몸이 썩은 후에 다시 살아날 수 없지만 그 안에 그리스도의 영인 생명이 있는 사람은 비록 몸은 약하고 썩어질 몸이고 수치스런 몸일지라도 부활할 때에는 능력있고 영광스러운 영적인 몸으로 부활하게 되는 것입니다.

            그러나 해의 영광과 달의 영광이 다르고 별과 별의 영광이 다른 것처럼 생명을 받은 그리스도인들의 부활 역시 사람과 사람의 영광이 다르게 되는 것입니다. 이 땅에 사는 동안 그리스도의 형상이 몸 안에 형성되는 만큼, 다시 말해서 하나님의 말씀으로 거룩하게 된 만큼 부활의 영광이 다른 것입니다. 이 영광은 그리스도의 심판석에서 주시는 보상, 즉 면류관에 따라서 그리스도의 공동상속자들로서 이 땅에 세워질 그리스도의 왕국에서 누리는 통치권의 영광이 다른 것으로 나타나게 되는 것입니다.

          그렇습니다! 그러므로 우리는 이 땅에 사는 동안에 하나님의 말씀 안에 있는 물로 씻김받아서 온 영과 혼과 몸이 정결하게 되어야 하는 것입니다. 말씀 안에서 그리스도의 형상이 속에 이루어지는 만큼 영광스러운 몸으로 부활하게 되는 것입니다. 사도 바울은 주 에수 그리스도의 오심을 바라며 복음을 전하면서 박해받는 데살로니가 교회 성도들에게 간절한 마음으로 권면했습니다:

 “항상 기뻐하라. 쉬지 말고 기도하라. 모든 일에 감사하라. 이것은 그리스도 예수 안에서 너희에 관한 하나님의 뜻이니라. 성령을 소멸하지 말라. 예언을 멸시하지 말라. 모든 일을 시험하여 보고 선한 것을 붙잡으라. 악은 어떤 형태든지 피하라. 화평의 하나님 바로 그분께서 너희를 온전히 거룩하게 하시고 너희의 온 영과 혼과 몸이 우리 주 예수 그리스도께서 오실 때까지 책망할 것이 없게 보존되기를 기도하노라. 너희를 부르시는 분은 신실하시니 그가 또한 이것을 행하시리라.”(살전 5:16-24)

Meditation of the week: Psalms 17:1-15

Main scripture: Galatians 4:19-31

Subject: Is Christ being formed within you?

            Apostle Paul testifies unto Galatians that were following the law not knowing the law cannot mingle with Christ. When he wrote unto the Roman Christians, he testified that the Christians who dwell in the Lord Jesus Christ are in the law of the Spirit of life no more in the law of sin and death; and he encouraged them not to follow the law of sin and death in the sinful body, but to follow the Spirit in their spirit so that they may live in life and peace without condemnation at all.

            He testified unto them, they may have life and peace through they walk in the truth following spiritual words of God not thinking carnally anymore. The Christians born again of the Spirit should receive the words of God, the truth, and fill them in the heart, and walk in the truth. Then the words of God manifested in flesh so that Christ is formed within them. As Christ was conceived in the body of Mary, when she believed the words of God and received that was delivered by the angel Gabriel, Christ is formed within us, when we believe the words of God with understanding through the Spirit, and walk in the words of truth.

            Apostle Paul encouraged Galatians saying, “My little children, of whom I travail in birth again until Christ be formed in you.”

When he said, “again”, he meant that he had already travailed for them to be born again of the Spirit once before. When he wrote unto Corinthians, he testified unto them saying, “For though ye have ten thousand instructors in Christ, yet have ye not many fathers: for in Christ Jesus I have begotten you through the gospel.”(1Cor. 4;15)

There were so many bible teachers at that time, but they failed to preach the true gospel of Christ so that they failed to make people be again of the Spirit, but ended up with producing so many religious people. But Apostle Paul travailed in birth for them through preaching the gospel of Christ that gives life; and he became their spiritual father.

            King David gave his desire unto the LORD God through his prayer saying, “From men which are thy hand, O Lord, from men of the world, which have their portion in this life, and whose belly thou fillest with thy hid treasure: they are full of children, and leave the rest of their substance to their babes.

As for me, I will behold thy face in righteousness: I shall be satisfied, when I awake.”(Ps. 17:14,15)

         Apostle Paul testified unto the saints in the church of Philippians saying, their body shall be changed as the glorious body of the Lord Jesus Christ when they shall be translated (raptured):

“For our conversation is in heaven; from whence also we look for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ:

Who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious body,”(Phil. 3:20,21)

           Apostle John made the same testimony when he wrote unto the children of God saying:

“Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.

And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure.”(1John 3:2,3)

           The Lord Jesus spoke unto the Father to sanctify his disciples in his final prayer saying,

“Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.”(John 17:17)

Yeah! There is the only one thing that sanctify man is the words of God. Apostle Paul also testified of sanctification when he wrote unto Ephesians saying,

“That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word,

That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.”(Eph. 5:26,27)

           If we confess our sins, God is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all our unrighteousness. But to be sanctified, we have to fill the words of the truth within our purified heart, and walk in the truth. Then at the same time, Christ is formed within us.

            Apostle Paul testified unto Corinthians of the resurrection of Christians:

“The first man is of the earth, earthy: the second man is the Lord from heaven.

As is the earthy, such are they also that are earthy: and as is the heavenly, such are they also that are heavenly.

And as we have borne the image of the earthy, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly.”(1Cor. 15:47-49)

           Before Apostle Paul testified of the resurrection of Christians, he testified of the mystery of resurrection hidden in the nature toward natural men saying,

“But some man will say, How are the dead raised up? and with what body do they come?

Thou fool, that which thou sowest is not quickened, except it die:

And that which thou sowest, thou sowest not that body that shall be, but bare grain, it may chance of wheat, or of some other grain:

But God giveth it a body as it hath pleased him, and to every seed his own body.

All flesh is not the same flesh: but there is one kind of flesh of men, another flesh of beasts, another of fishes, and another of birds.

There are also celestial bodies, and bodies terrestrial: but the glory of the celestial is one, and the glory of the terrestrial is another.

There is one glory of the sun, and another glory of the moon, and another glory of the stars: for one star differeth from another star in glory.

So also is the resurrection of the dead. It is sown in corruption; it is raised in incorruption:

It is sown in dishonour; it is raised in glory: it is sown in weakness; it is raised in power:

It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body.”(Cor. 15:35-44)

             Yeah! Except man, the forms of the bodies of all the creatures are hidden in their seed. When their seeds are sawn into the ground or the wombs of their female, they are born as their original forms, and in the case of the plants, their seeds are corrupted in the ground, and they sprout again as the form of the plant.

But there is no seed inside of the grain or semen, it cannot sprout out. In the same manner, man is also buried in the ground as a seed, man cannot be raised again without the seed of life in the body. But born again Christian of the Spirit of life is to be raised again, even though his body is weak and shameful and corruptible , he shall be resurrected as powerful and glorious spiritual body.

            As the glory of the sun is different from the glory of the moon, and the glory of a star is different from the glory of another star, the glory of Christian is different from one to another. As much as Christ is formed within them, in other word, as much as sanctified with the words of God, their glory of resurrection shall be different one to another. Their glory shall be rewarded as the crowns to be given at the judgment seat of Christ. In other word, their glory shall be as the reigning power in the Millennium of Christ in the earth as the joint-heirs.

            Yeah! Therefore, we have to be sanctified with the waters within the words of God for all whole spirit and soul and body during our life in the earth. As much as Christ is formed in us in the words of God, we shall be resurrected gloriously. Apostle Paul encouraged unto the saint of Thessalonians who were persecuted in the midst of preaching the gospel of Christ waiting for the coming of the Lord Jesus Christ saying,

“Rejoice evermore.

Pray without ceasing.

In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.

Quench not the Spirit.

Despise not prophesyings.

Prove all things; hold fast that which is good.

Abstain from all appearance of evil.

And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Faithful is he that calleth you, who also will do it.”(1Thes. 5:16-24)
