금주의 묵상: 시편 121: 1-8

본문: 시편 122:1-9

제목: 이스라엘의 남은 자들과 우리의 발이 예루살렘 성문들 안에 서는 날을 바라보자!

       다윗왕은 성전으로 올라가는 노래로 하나님을 찬양하고 또한 앞으로 예수 그리스도의 천년왕국이 이를 때에 주님께서 친히 지으신 성전(에스겔 40-46장)으로 올라가는 노래를 통하여 앞으로 일어날 일에 대하여 성령의 기름부으심을 통하여 예언하고 있습니다.

        다윗왕은 성령 안에서 미래에 일어날 일을 보고 증거하며 예언하고 있는 것입니다. 그 날이 오면 온 땅에 흩어져 있는 유대인들이 한 사람도 남김 없이 예루살렘 성으로 돌아와서(암 9:15) 더 이상 영원토록 파괴되지 않는 하나님의 전으로 올라가자는 소리와 함께 기뻐할 날이 올 것을 예언하고 있습니다. 그는 구체적으로 “우리의 발이 네 성문들 안에 서리라.”고 예언하고 있는 것입니다.

            서기 70년 로마의 티투스 장군에 의하여 예루살렘이 성전을 포함하여 돌 위에 돌 하나도 남김 없이 모두 파괴되고 그때부터 이스라엘 백성들은 나라를 잃어버리고 온 땅으로 흩어져 유리방황하게 되었습니다. 예수 그리스도의 피를 자신들과 자손들이 담당할 것이라는 외침과 함께 그분을 십자가에 못박아 처형한 후 약 40년 만에 공의의 하나님께서는 그들을 징계하지 않을 수 없었던 것입니다. 그 당시 로마 티투스 장군은 유대인 오백 여 명을 성문 밖에서 십자가에 처형했습니다.

              그러나 하나님께서는 다윗왕을 통하여 언젠가 그 날이 오게 될 때에 이스라엘의 남은 자들 모두의 발이 예루살렘 성문 안에 서게 될 것을 성령 안에서 예언하게 하셨습니다. 이 예언의 말씀을 이루시기 위하여 1900여 년이 지난 1948년 5월 14일에 이스라엘이 독립을 선언하게 되었던 것입니다. 하나님께서는 이스라엘이 다시 독립 국가가 되는 일에 미국을 사용하시기 위하여 1493년 어느날 크리스토퍼 콜럼버스가 두 번째로 새 대륙 미국으로 항해할 때에 그 당시 스페인 이사벨라 여왕 치하에서 종교재판을 받아 박해당하고 고문당하던 수백명의 유대인들이 그 배에 탈 수 있도록 인도하셨습니다. 하나님께서는 유대인이었던 콜럼버스와 그 당시 재력있는 유대인들을 사용하셔서 수백 명의 유대인들이 미국 땅으로 항해할 수 있도록 하셨던 것입니다. 이들은 영국으로부터 청교도들이 미국 땅으로 오기 전에 먼저 들어왔던 것입니다.

            뿐만 아니라, 미국이 남북전쟁으로 치열할 때에 조지 와싱턴이 지휘하던 북군에 무기와 식량과 옷들과 모든 것들이 고갈되어 더 이상 버틸 수 없는 때가 되었을 때 하나님께서는 미국을 구하시기 위해 또 한 번 유대인을 사용하셨습니다. 유대인 하임 솔로몬(Hyam Solomon)은 자신의 전 재산 수백만 달러를 조지 와싱턴에게 기부하여 전쟁을 승리로 이끌게 했던 것입니다.

            뿐만 아니라, 1948년 유엔을 통하여 이스라엘의 독립을 선언하는 일에 미국을 사용하셨습니다. 그 당시 미국 대통령이었던 트루만은 이스라엘의 독립을 지지하려 했으나 모든 각료들 전원이 반대하면서 트루만이 이스라엘을 지지할 경우에 모두 사임하겠다고 협박하는 상황이었습니다. 그러나 그는 그들에게 3일 정도 시간을 달라고 요청한 후 그 동안 성경을 읽으면서 하나님의 뜻을 찾으려 했습니다. 성령께서는 그로 하여금 엣날 페르시아 왕 코레스에 대한 말씀을 읽게 하셨습니다. 이방 왕이었던 그에게 성령에 임하였을 때 예레미야 선지자를 통하여 말씀하신 에언을 이루라는 감동을 받아 모든 유대인들이 예루살렘으로 돌아가서 성전을 건축하라는 포고령을 내렸던 것입니다. 이 말씀을 읽던 중에, 트루만 대통령은 성령의 감동을 받아 자신도 옛날 코레스처럼 되어야 한다는 확신을 가지고 모든 각료들이 보는 가운데 이스라엘의 독립을 지지하는 서류에 서명했던 것입니다.

             구약의 모든 선지서들은 모두가 한결같이 우상숭배로 인하여 하나님으로부터 오랫동안 징계를 받는 이스라엘이 언젠가 그들의 죄들을 회개하고 그들의 주 하나님께로 돌아오는 날 아브라함에게 약속하신 대로 팔레스타인 약속의 땅으로 돌아오게 될 것을 예언하고 있는 것입니다. 뿐만 아니라, 아브라함을 축복하는 자들을 축복하고 저주하는 자들을 저주하실 것이라는 약속대로 바벨론 앗시리아, 이집트, 메디아, 페르시아, 그리스, 또한 로마 등 이스라엘을 박해하던 모든 왕국들을 심판하신 것은 역사가 증명하고 있는 사실입니다. 뿐만 아니라 미국을 포함하여 모든 열국들 역시 이스라엘을 축복하지 않는 나라들도 같은 운명을 맞이하게 되는 것입니다. 예수님께서 민족 심판에 대하여 말씀하실 때 양의 민족과 염소의 민족을 구분하심으로써(마 25:31-46) 미침내 아브라함에게 언약하신 말씀을 이루시게 될 것입니다.

         또 한가지 역사적으로 하나님께서 이스라엘과 함께 하셨던 한 가지 중요한 예가 있습니다. 그것은 1967년에 일어났던 육일 전쟁이었습니다. 유엔을 통하여 이스라엘이 독립 국가가 된 후에 모든 아랍 국가들은 이에 반대하여 이스라엘을 총 공격하게 되었습니다. 그 당시 이스라엘 군대는 빈약할대로 빈약한 상황이었습니다. 공군 전투기 한 대도 없을 정도였습니다. 이스라엘 군대는 하루아침에 패할 수밖에 없는 상황이었습니다. 그런 가운데 오히려 이스라엘 군대가 대승을 거두었을뿐 아니라 잃어버렸던 예루살렘 동편 땅까지 점령하게 되었던 것입니다.

               육일 전쟁 때에 하나님께서 이스라엘 군대와 함께 하셨던 역사들 가운데 대표적인 것들이 있습니다. 공군력이 전무했던 이스라엘 군대가 아랍연합국의 폭격기들의 폭격을 받기 직전에 미국에 있던 공군 파일럿 몇 명이 하나님의 감동을 받아 출격하여 아랍 연합의 폭격기가 출격하기 직전에 모두 폭파했습니다. 또한 이스라엘 군대가 후퇴하면서 뒤에 쳐졌던 군인 두 명이 이집트 군대의 장갑차들과 수많은 군대들이 몰려오는 것을 보고 죽으면 죽으리라고 앞으로 나갔을 때 모든 이집트 군인들이 모두 항복하는 기적이 일어났습니다. 하나님께서 그들의 무기들이 작동하지 못하도록 하셨던 것입니다. 그 두 패잔병 두 사람은 오히려 이집트 군인들 모두를 포로로 잡게 되었습니다. 또 다른 한 가지 예로, 수많은 시리아 군대들이 노도처럼 몰려오는 것을 보고 소수의 이스라엘 군인들 역시 죽기를 각오하고 앞으로 나아갔을 때 시리아 군인들 모두가 갑자기 무기를 버리고 앞으로 엎드려지면서 항복했습니다. 나중에 알고 보니 그들 모두가 그들을 에워싸고 있는 하늘의 군대들, 즉 천사들을 보고 놀랐던 것입니다. 뿐만 아니라, 폭풍처럼 날라오는 이랍 연합국의 모든 포탄들이 이스라엘 군대 위로 떨어지지 않고 모두가 사람이 없는 밭들로 떨어지는 것을 보았습니다. 또 한가지 작은 예로, 유대인 민간인들이 적군의 포탄을 피해 집으로 피신했는데 집 안으로 포탄이 떨어졌습니다. 그런데 그 포탄은 터지지 않고 땅 속에 박혀있었습니다. 이렇게 하나님께서 이스라엘을 향한 자신의 뜻을 이루시기 위하여 육일 전쟁 때에 역사하신 것들은 수없이 많았던 것입니다.

                나라를 빼앗기고 1900여 년 동안 온 세계로 유리방황하던 이스라엘을 마침내 회복하시기 위하여 지금까지 역사하신 하나님께서는 다니엘을 통하여 예언하게 하신 마지막 한 이레, 즉 이스라엘에게 마지막 기회를 주시는 칠 년 대 환란을 통하여 그들로 하여금 회개하게 하실 것입니다. 이를 위하여 이번에는 모든 민족들이 아마겟돈으로 모여 이스라엘을 총공격하게 될 것입니다. 이때에는 주 예수 그리스도께서 하늘로부터 직접 내려오셔서 모든 민족들을 심판하시고(슥 14:1-3, 계 19:11-21) 예루살렘으로 입성하시게 될 것입니다. 그때에 이스라엘의 모든 지파들 모두는 주님께 감사드리며 하나님의 성전으로 올라가게 될 것입니다. 하나님께서는 지금 이 순간에도 흩어져 살고 있는 유대인들을 고토로 돌아오게 하는 일을 자신의 사람들을 통하여 하시고 있는 것입니다. 한 예로, 에디오피아에 있는 흑인 유대인들과 인도에 살고 있는 검은 유대인들입니다. 에디오피아 유대인들은 단 지파 사람들이며 인도에 있는 유대인들은 므낫세 지파로 판명났다고 이스라엘의 한 랍비가 증거했습니다.

           주님께서 올리브 산으로 재림하실 때 이스라엘의 남은 자들뿐만 아니라 휴거되었다가 주님과 함께 이 땅을 통치할 하나님의 교회, 즉 그리스도의 신부들도 함께 내려와서 유대인들과 함께 하나님의 성전으로 올라가는 기쁨을 함께 하게 될 것입니다. 선지자 스카랴는 “주 하나님께서 오시리니, 모든 성도들이 주와 함께하리이다.”(슥 14:5)라고 예언하고 있으며, 유다는 “아담의 칠 대 손 에녹도 이들에 대하여 예언하여 말하기를 ‘보라, 주께서 수만 성도들과 함께 오시나니.”(유 1:14)라고 예언하고 있습니다.

           이때에 예루살렘에는 심판의 보좌들이 있게 될 것입니다. 주 예수 그리스도는 만왕의 왕, 만주의 주가 되실 것이며 다윗왕은 이스라엘의 통치자로서 보좌에 앉게 될 것입니다(겔 34:23,24). 뿐만 아니라 예수 그리스도의 열두 사도들은 이스라엘의 열두 지파를 통치하는 보좌에 앉게 될 것입니다(마 19:28). 이때에 예루살렘은 문자 그대로 영원토록 화평의 도성이 될 것입니다.

           그렇습니다! 우리 모두는 예루살렘의 화평을 위하여 기도해야 하는 것입니다. 이렇게 기도할 때, 아브라함을 축복하는 자들을 축복하시는 하나님의 죽복이 임하게 되는 것입니다. 뿐만 아니라 카톨릭 신자 케네디 대통령 이후부터 영적으로 타락의 길을 걷고 있는 미국의 위정자들을 위하여 기도해야 하는 것입니다. 이스라엘을 지지하던 미국이 이제는 이스라엘을 압박함으로써 하나님의 눈동자를 건드리고 있는 것입니다(슥 2:8). 하나님께서는 미국이 이스라엘에게 행한대로 축복으로 때로는 저주로 갚아주셨습니다. 최근에 들어와서는 하나님의 말씀에 무지한 정치인들로 인하여 죄없는 국민들이 엄청난 재난들로 인하여 기근,질병, 지진, 토네이도 등으로 인해 고통을 받고 있는 것을 봅니다. 사도 바울은 우리가 살고 있는 나라의 위정자들을 위해 기도해야 하는 이유에 대하여 증거했습니다:

“그러므로 내가 무엇보다도 먼저 권하노니, 모든 사람을 위하여 간구와 기도와 중보와 감사를 하되 왕들과 권세 있는 모든 사람을 위하여 하라. 이는 우리가 모든 경건과 청렴한 가운데 평온하고 조용한 생활을 하려 함이라.”(딤전 2:1,2) 아멘! 할렐루야!

             지금이야말로 우리는 이스라엘을 도우시는 하나님께서 우리 또한 어떤 어려움 가운데 처할지라도 우리를 도우시는 하나님을 믿어야 할 때입니다. 비록 우리가 고난 가운데 있을지라도 하나님의 사랑과 자비하심을 믿으면서 조만간 주님을 만나는 날까지 정결케 되는 삶을 살아야 할 것입니다. 아멘! 할렐루야!

Meditation of the week: Psalms 121:1-8

Main scripture: Psalms 122:1-9

Subject: Look forward the day when the feet of the remnant of Israel and of us shall stand within the gates of Israel

           This is a song when King David praised the Lord on the way up to the temple of God; he praised God, and he prophesied with the anointment of the Holy Ghost of the days of the Millennium kingdom of the Lord Jesus when he shall going up the temple of God that shall be built by the Lord(EZ 40-46).

              King David saw the things in the Holy Ghost that shall be happening in the future, and testified of it. When the day comes, all the Jews that have been scattered to the face of the earth shall return to Jerusalem not leaving any one of them (Amos 9:15).; and they shall rejoice of the Lord God with the shouting of praising him on the way up to the temple of God that shall no more be destroyed forever. He prophesied saying, “Our feet shall stand within the gates of Jerusalem.”

               In the year of AD 70, the city of Jerusalem including the temple of God was destroyed by Titus, the general of Roman Empire not leaving a stone on a stone. Since then, the people of Israel lost their nation, and scattered to all the earth to wander. They cried out saying, “the blood (of Jesus) be on us, and on our children!”(Matt. 27″25) asking Jesus to be crucified. The God of righteousness couldn’t help judging them forty years later. Titus crucified five hundreds of the Jew out side of Jerusalem where Jesus was crucified.

            But the LORD God had king David prophesy of the day when the feet of the remnant of Israel shall stand in the gates of Jerusalem after the day of the Lord come. To fulfill the word of God, God allowed Israel to be declared as a independent nation again on May 14, 1948, after 1900 hundred years have passed by. God had planed to use America, and he allowed hundreds of the Jew to be with Christopher Columbus when he was going to make second voyage to the land of America in 1493; they had been persecuted and tortured by the Queen, Isabella in Spain. God used Columbus (he was a Jew) and some other Jews supported them financially so that they might be able to travel to America. Actually, they landed in the new continent of America ahead of the Protestants from England.

            Not only this, later God used the Jews to support Gorge Washington in the midst of the war of Revolution in the brink of being defeated by the Southern army because of no money, no food, no weapon and no clothes left at all. Haym Solomon, a Jew donated millions of Dollars unto George Washington so that he could lead his army unto victory.

              God also used America to declare the independence of Israel through United Nation in 1948. Truman, the president of United States of America at that time was willing to vote for the independence of Israel; bur he came across the threats from his cabinet member saying they will resign if the President votes for Israel. Then, Truman asked the cabinet to give him three days for him think about it. For three days, Truman searched the scriptures to find out for the will of God. The Holy Ghost led him to read of Cyrus, the king of Persia; he was anointed by the Holy Ghost, and the LORD God wanted to use him to fulfill the prophesy spoken through Jeremiah of the restoration of Israel. And king Cyrus proclaimed for the people of Israel to return to their home land to build their temple of God. The Holy Ghost anointed Truman very strongly so that he became to have very strong confidence to be the second king Cyrus for Israel. Finally, he signed on the paper to vote for Israel surrounded by his cabinet members.

                Almost prophets in the books of Old Testament had prophesied of the people of Israel that shall return to the land of Promise given to Abraham some day, after they repent their sins of Idolatry after they are chastened by the LORD God. As the LORD God gave the word of promise, saying, “I will bless them that bless thee; and curse him that curseth thee.”(Gen. 12:3), the kingdoms of Babylon, Assyria, Egypt, Media, Persia, Greece, and Roman Empire and all other nations had been cursed because they cursed Israel as the history proves. Even in the future, all the nations including America shall have the same destiny, if they curse Israel. When Jesus Christ divides the nation of the goat from of the lamb(matt. 25:31-46) when he return at the end of the Great Tribulation. Then he is going to fulfill the covenant given unto Abraham four thousand years ago.

            There is an important example that God was with Israel to protect her to fulfill his will historically. It was at the time of the war 1967 against the nations of Arab. All the Arabic nations were totally against the independence of Israel even though Israel was recognized as an independent nation by the United Nation. All the Arabic nations intruded Israel. At that time, Israel was so poor in her defending power against the war. Israel had even a bombing fighter at all without any Air Force. Israel was going to be destroyed by the bomber of the Arabic nations. In the midst of such kind of environment, Israel won not only a great victory against the Arabic nations, but also they became to occupy the eastern part of Jerusalem for the first time.

              There many examples that God was with Israel for them win the war in the midst of Six Day War in 1967.

Just before the Arabic fighters destroyed Israel with their bomb, God inspired several pilots in America: They became urgency to prepare their war plains to bomb the fighters of Arabic nations. They tried to assemble the parts left over from the second World War. With the help of God, they could hit all the war plains of Arabic nation to destroy them all not leaving any one of the,

              As an another example, two Jewish soldiers was going to join with their company in the midst of retreat; all of sudden Egyptian armies began to attack them with their tanks as well as rifles. They had no chance at all to survive; and they had to attack them unto death. What a miracle happened before them! All the Egyptian soldiers surrendered to them all of sudden making their hands up to be prisoners giving them up. What happen to them was that God malfunctioned all their weapons right away. The defeated soldiers became heroes all of sudden to join with their company proudly.

              One day, Syrian armies was attacking Israelis army as roaring waves; there was no chance at all for the army of Israel to survive but to death. Israelis army went forth to fight with them without any other choice. All of sudden, all the Syrian armies threw away all their weapons, and fell down to the ground to surrender. They were so much surprised at seeing the heavenly angels of the LORD of the Host sent by the Lord.

              As an another example, many civilians had to hide themselves from the air raids of Arabic air force as storms. Unfortunately a bomb was dropped in the house where Israelis hided. But thank God! The bomb was not exploded but only was dig into the ground. There are so many examples of God’s hand protection Israelis for them to win the victory.

              God has allowed Israel to wander in the earth for 1900 years; and he will give them the final chance for repentance through the Great Tribulation of seven years as prophesied as one week by Daniel to restore the nation of Israel. All the nations shall attack Israel; then, the Lord Jesus Christ will come down from heaven to deliver Israel judging all nations (Zech 14:1-3, Rev. 19:11-21), And he will marching into the city of Jerusalem. Then all the tribes of Israel shall give thanks unto the Lord, and shall go up to the temple of God with joy. God is still working for the people of Israel so that they return the land of promise using his servants. As the examples, a Jewish Rabbi testified, the black Jews returned from the land of Ethiopia are of the tribe of Dan; and another black Jews from India are of the tribe of Manasseh.

                When the Lord Jesus Christ come down to the Mount Olive, not only the remnant of Israel, but also the church of God that was raptured that is the bride of Christ shall come with him, and go up to the temple of God together with the Jews to praise the Lord together. Prophet Zechariah prophesied saying, “And the LORD my God shall come, and all the saints with thee.'(Zech 14:5). Even Jude also prophesied saying, “And Enoch also, the seventh from Adam, prophesied, saying, Behold, the Lord cometh with ten thousands of his saints.'(Jude 1:14)

              Then, in Israel there shall be set thrones of judgment. The Lord Jesus Christ shall be the King of Kings, and the Lord of Lords; and king David shall be the prince of Israel (EZ. 34:23,24). And twelve apostles shall sit in the thrones to judge the twelve tribes (Matt. 19:25) Then, Jerusalem shall be city of peace forever more.

            Yeah! This is the reason why we should pray for the peace of Jerusalem, We shall be blessed by God as God promised to Abraham. Not only for Israel, but also we have to pray for the politicians of America where we are dwelling knowing that America has been falling down spiritually since the first Catholic president, John Kennedy was elected. America has supported Israel, but nowadays, against Israel to touch the apple of the eye of God (Zech 2:8). God has paid back to America as done to Israel, blessing or curses. Recently, innocent citizens of America have been passing through famine, diseases, earthquakes, and tornados and so on, because of ignorant politicians spiritually including the president. Apostle Paul testified of the reason why we have to pray for the politicians saying,

“ exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men;

For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.1Tim. 2:1,2)

         it is the real time when we have faith in God that will help us in whatsoever situation as he has done to Israel. Even in the days of trouble believing his love and mercy only asking us to be purified in our heart before we see the Lord sooner of later. Amen! Hallelujah!
