금주의 묵상: 시편15:1-5

본문: 빌립보서 2:1-10

제목: 사람의 생각과 하나님의 생각

         사람의 마음 속에는 온갖 생각들과 상상들로 가득차 있는 것을 봅니다. 사람의 사악함이 창대해져서 그 마음의 생각의 모든 상상이 계속해서 악함을 보시고 주 하나님께서는 지상의 모든 사람들을 홍수로 심판하시기로 작정하셨습니다. 그 일로 인하여 하나님께서는 사람을 지으시셨음을 후회하셨으며, 그 일이 그분의 마음을 비통케 하였습니다. 이로 인하여 하나님께서는 노아와 그의 가족 여덞 사람만 제외하고 모든 사람들을 지면으로부터 쓸어버리셨습니다(창 6:5-6).

         그후 하나님께서 아브라함을 택하시고 그의 손자 야곱의 열두 아들들을 택하시고 그의 백성으로 택하셨지만 그들 역시 하나님을 버리고 이방 나라들을 그들의 남편처럼 신뢰함으로써 노아 때와 다름없이 하나님의 마음을 비통케 했습니다. 하나님께서는 선지자 예레미야를 통하여 그들 또한 심판하시기로 작정하셨고 그들이 섬기던 앗시리아와 바빌론을 사용하셔서 심판하셨습니다. 하나님께서는 선지자 예레미야를 통하여 사람의 마음이 어떠한 지에 대하여 말씀하셨습니다:

“마음은 만물보다 거짓되고 심히 악하니 누가 그것을 알 수 있으리요? 나 주는 마음을 살피고 나는 속을 시험하며 그 사람의 행위와 행실의 결과대로 각 사람에게 주노라.”(렘 17:9-10)

           그렇습니다! 하나님께서는 지금도 여전히 사람들의 마음을 살피시고 있으며 마음이 정한대로 행하는 행위의 결과대로 보응하시고 계신 것입니다.

하나님께서 첫 사람 아담과 이브를 하나님의 형상과 모양대로 만드셨을 때 그들의 마음 안에는 그 어떤 악한 생각도 있을 수 없었습니다. 그들의 마음 속에는 하나님을 아는 것 외에 어떤 다른 생각도 있을 수 없었기 때문입니다. 그러나 마귀가 그들을 찾아와서 그들에게 다른 생각을 넣어주었을 때 그들이 그 생각들을 받아들임으로써 죄를 짓게 되었으며 그들 안에는 하나님 외에 마귀가 넣어준 악한 생각들로 가득차게 되었던 것입니다.

             그들 마음 속에 들어온 다른 악한 생각에 대하여 성경은 이렇게 증거하고 있습니다:

“여자가 보니 그 나무가 먹음직하고 보기에도 즐겁고 현명하게 할 만큼 탐스러운 나무인지라, 그녀가 거기에서 그 열매를 따서 먹고 그녀와 함께 한 남편에게도 주니, 그가 먹더라.”(창 3:6)

그후 부터 그들로부터 태어난 모든 사람들은 그들 마음 속에 있는 생각들을 가지고 태어나게 된 것입니다. 사도 요한 그들로부터 물려받은 세 가지 악한 생각들에 대하여 증거했습니다:

“세상도, 세상에 있는 것들도 사랑하지 말라. 누구든지 세상을 사랑하면 아버지를 사랑함이 그 안에 있지 아니하니 이는 세상에 있는 모든 것이 욱신의 정욕과 안목의 정욕과 생의 자랑이요, 아버지께 속한 것이 아니라 세상에 속한 것이기 때문이라. 세상도 정욕도 사라지지만 하나님의 뜻을 행하는 자는 영원히 거하느니라.”(요일 2:15-17)

           첫 사람이 하나님께서 금하신 과일을 보고 먹음직스럽게 생각했을 때, 그들 안에 육신의 정욕이 들어오게 되었으며, 보기에도 즐거웠을 때 안목의 정욕이, 또한 현명하게 할만큼 탐스럽다고 여겼을 때 생의 자랑이 그들의 마음 속에 자리잡게 되었던 것입니다. 그후로부터 태어나는 모든 사람들은 이 세가지 정욕을 물려받아 그 세 가지를 이루려고 지금도 바쁘게 살고 있는 것입니다.

           육신의 정욕은 자기 보존(self-preservation), 자기 번식(Self-reproduction) 그리고 자기 만족(Self-satisfaction)이라는 세 가지 속성으로 나타나게 되었으며 따라서 사람의 마음 속에는 이기적인 생각으로 가득차게 되었습니다. 이로 인하여 하나님께서는 그분께서 정하신 시간에 마지막 심판을 준비하시고 선지자들과 사도들을 통하여 미리 말씀하셨으며 이 심판의 메시지가 성경에 자세히 기록되어 있는 것입니다.

             다윗 왕은 이러한 악한 정욕들로 가득찬 사람들에 대하여 깨닫고 증거했습니다:

“오 주여, 주의 손인 사람들과 이생에서 자기들의 몫을 받은 세상 사람들로부터 나의 혼을 구하소서. 주께서 감추어진 보화로 그들의 배를 채우셨으니 그들은 자녀들로 가득하고 그들의 남은 재산을 자기들의 아기들에게 남겨주나이다.”(시 17:14)

               하나님께서는 아담의 자손으로 태어난 모든 사람들이 이 세 가지 정욕을 가지고 태어나서 정욕으로 살 수밖에 없음을 아셨기에 오래 참으심 가운데 사람들 속에 악한 생각들을 가져온 마귀를 멸하시려는 계획을 세우시고 천 년을 하루처럼 오래 참고 계셨으며 지금도 여전히 참고 계시는 것입니다. 사람들 속에 깊히 뿌리박혀 있는 악한 생각들을 처리하는 유일한 길은 오직 세상 죄를를 위하여 그의 독생자를 죽이시고 다시 살리시는 길밖에 없으신 것을 아시는 하나님께서 마침내 마귀가 세상에 죄를 가져온 후 사천 년이 지난 어느날 사람이 되셔서 이 땅에 나타나셨던 것입니다.

             예수라는 이름으로 세상에 나타나신 그리스도께서는 죽은지 나흘된 나사로를 살리시기 전에 “나는 부활이요, 생명이니 나를 믿는 자는 죽어도 살 것이며 또 살아서 나를 믿는 자는 누구나 영원히 죽지 아니하리라. 네가 이것을 믿느냐?”(요 11:25-26)라고 말씀하셨습니다. 주님께서 나타나시기 전 사천 년 동안 죽어서 썩어 냄새나는 사망 속에 있는 세상을 향하여 외치신 복음이었습니다. 그분께서 외치신 복음은 자신의 죽으심과 부활하심을 믿어 자신의 피로 사람들의 마음 속 양심에 깊히 뿌리박혀 있는 모든 죄악들을 씻지 않고서는 하나님께 갈 수 없음에 대하여 말씀하신 것입니다. 주님께서 제자들에게 말씀하셨습니다:

“나는 길이요, 진리요 생명이라. 나로 말미암지 않고는 아버지께로 올 사람이 아무도 없느니라.'(요 14:6)

             사도 바울은 주 예수 그리스도를 믿음으로 구원받아 양심이 정결케 된 에베소 교회 성도들에게 권면했습니다:

“아전 행실에 관해서는 기만의 욕망에 따라 썩어진 옛 사람을 벗어 버리고 너희 생각의 영 안에서 새롭게 되어 하나님을 따라 의와 참된 거룩함 안에서 창조된 새 사람을 입으라.”(엡 4:22-24)

           그렇습니다! 구원을 받아 성령으로 다시 태어난 사람들도 육신 안에는 죄의 몸을 벗는 날까지 여전히 정욕이 들어있는 몸 안에 살아야 하는 것입니다. 그러나 옛 사람을 벗어버리고 하나님을 기쁘시게 하는 유일한 길은 새 사람이신 주 예수 그리스도로 옷입는 길밖에 없는 것입니다. 또한 새 사람으로 옷입는 길은 그분의 말씀으로 전신갑옷을 입고 말씀 안에서 하나님의 영이신 성령의 인도함을 받아야 하는 것입니다. 입에서 나오는 말들도 성령께서 말하게 하심으로 말하고 행위도 그분의 인도함에 따라 의의 길 안에서 행해야 하는 것입니다.

           오늘 본문 말씀 가운데서 사도 바울은 새 사람을 입는 것에 대하여 빌립보 교회 성도들에게 더 구체적으로 증거하고 있습니다. 그는 성도들이 자신만을 위하는 삶을 살지 말고 서로 격려하고 사랑하고 위로하고 성령 안에서 교제하며 인정과 자비로운 마음을 가지고 같은 생각이 되어 같은 사랑을 가지고 하나 되고 한 생각이 되어 어떤 일도 다툼이나 허영을 따라서 하지 말고 오직 생각의 겸손함으로 남을 자신들보다 존중하고 각자 자기 일만 돌보지 말고 남의 일도 돌아보라고 권면하고 있습니다. 또한 이러한 삶을 살기 위해서 그리스도 예수 안에 있는 생각을 품으라고 간곡하게 권면하고 있으며 오늘 우리들에게도 성령 안에서 같은 권면을 하고 있는 것입니다.

           그는 또한 그리스도 예수 안에 있는 생각에 대하여 증거하고 있습니다.

그분께서는 하나님의 형체로 계시는 하나님이신 분이 자신의 영예를 버리셨습니다. 그분께서는 하늘에서 편안하게 계실 수 있는 분이신데 자기보존의 생각을 버리시고 죄인들을 보존하시기 위하여 사람이 되셨을뿐만 아니라 자신을 낮추시고 저주의 십자가에서 죽가까지 순종하셨습니다. 죄인들의 마음에 가득찬 자기번식이 아니라 자신의 죽으심을 통하여 죄인들의 혼을 구원하여 수많은 사람들이 하늘들과 땅에 영원히 번식하게 하시려는 생각으로 가득 차셨던 것입니다. 이로 인하여 아버지 하나님께서 그분을 지극히 높이셨습니다. 하늘에 있는 것이나 땅에 있는 것이나 땅 아래 있는 것이나 모든 무릎을 예수의 이름에 꿇게 하시고 모든 혀가 에수 그리스도를 주라 시인하게 하셨으며 아버지께 영광을 돌리게 하셨다고 사도 바울이 증거하고 있습니다.

         주 예수께서는 죽으시기 전에 제자들에게 그분 안에 있는 생각을 가지고 그를 따라오라고 말씀하셨습니다. 다시 말해서 그분의 생각이 마음 안에 없으면 그분을 따라갈 수 없다고 말씀하신 것입니다:

“누구든지 나를 따라 오려거든 자기를 부인하고 (날마다) 자기 십자가를 지고 나를 따르라. 또 자기 십자가를 지지 않고 나를 따르는 자도 나에게 합당치 아니하니라.”(마 10:38;16:24, 막 8:34, 눅 9:23)

           그렇습니다! 주 예수님의 생각은 자기보존이 아니고 자기부인이었습니다. 또한 그분의 생각은 자기번식이 아니라 자신의 죽음을 통하여 수많은 하나님의 자녀들에게 영원한 생명을 주시는 번식이었습니다. 그리고 그분의 또 다른 생각은 생의 자랑이 아니라 세상을 마귀로부터 구하시기 위해 잠시 동안 자신의 영예, 즉 만왕의 왕, 만주의 주로서의 자랑을 버리신 것입니다. 이때에 아버지께서 그분을 지극히 높이신 것입니다.

             그리스도인이란 그리스도의 생각을 가지고 그분께서 행하신 것처럼 이 세상에서 행하는 사람입니다. 자기보존, 자기번식, 자기만족을 내려놓고 다른 사람들을 보존하는 일을 하며 다른 사람들에게 복음을 전함으로써 많은 하나님의 자녀들이 번식하게 하며 자기만족을 버리고 주님을 만족하시게 하기 위하여 구원의 복음을 전파하고 하나님의 말씀 안에 이는 진리의 지식을 전함으로써 모든 사람이 구원을 받고 진리의 지식에 이르게 하기를 원하시는 하나님을 만족하시게 하는 삶을 살아야 하는 것입니다. 주님께서는 그분의 생각을 가지고 행한 사람들에게 그리스도의 심판석에서 면류관으로 상 주시어 그리스도와 함께 영원히 통치하는 왕같은 제사장들이 되게 할 것입니다. 사도 요한은 상을 주시기 위하여 오시는 주님에 대하여 증거했습니다: “보라, 내가 속히 오리니 내가 줄 상이 내게 있어 각 사람에게 그의 행위에 따라 주리라.”(계 22:12)

Meditation of the week: psalms 15:1-5

Main scripture: Philippians 2:1-10

Subject: The mind of man and of God

The heart of man is full of all kings of thoughts as well as imagination. Long time ago, the LORD God made up his mind to judge the world with the flood seeing that wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. It repented the LORD that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart. Finally, the LORD swept all men away from the face of the earth with the flood except Noah and hid family.

           Afterwards, the LORD chose Abraham and called him, and also chose twelve sons of Jacob the grandson of Abraham to be his people. But they also forsake the LORD God to trusted the nations of the Gentiles as their husband; it also grieved the LORD at his heart as the time of Noah. The LORD God sent Jeremiah his prophet to judge them, and judged them using Assyria, Babylon and Egypt that they served. God spoke unto them of what is the heart of man:

“The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?

I the Lord search the heart, I try the reins, even to give every man according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings.”(Jer. 17:

             Yeah! God is still searching the heart of men to pay them according to what they do. When the LORD God made the first man, Adam and Eve in his image and in his likeness, anything evil couldn’t be in their heart. In their heart, anything other than the knowledge of God couldn’t occupy. But when the devil visited them, and put the different thoughts, they received the thoughts of the devil ended up with sinning against God. Since then, their heart had been filled with the evil thoughts from the devil/

              The scripture testified of the evil thoughts that came in their heart:

“And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat.“(Gen. 3:6)

Since then, all men have been born from the first man with such kinds of thoughts in their heart. Apostle John testified of the three kinds of evil thoughts inherited from the first man:

“Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.

For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.

And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.”(1John 2:15-17)

             When the woman saw the forbidden tree was good for food, the lust of the flesh came in her heart; when it was pleasant to the eyes, the lust of eyes came in; when it was desired to make one wise, the pride of life occupied her heart. Since then, all men have been inherited with these three evil things, and have been busy to satisfy with those.

              The lust of the flesh is manifested in the form of self-preservation; the lust of eyes self-reproduction; the pride of life self-satisfaction; and the heart of man has been full of selfishness. The scriptures are full of the message of judgment spoken by the prophets as well as the apostles to be done at the time set by the LORD God.

              King David understood of the lust of man, and testified of it:

“From men which are thy hand, O Lord, from men of the world, which have their portion in this life, and whose belly thou fillest with thy hid treasure: they are full of children, and leave the rest of their substance to their babes.”(Ps. 17:14)

              God had known of the descendants of Adam to be born with such kinds of lust within them so that they couldn’t help living in the midst of the lust. God has been longsuffering for thousands of years as several days until he destroy the devil that brought such kinds of evil thoughts. To take away the evil thoughts rooted in the heart of man, the LORD God had to kill his only begotten Son for the sin of the world. Finally, after four thousands of years had passed by, he was manifested in flesh in the form of man in this earth.

            The Christ appeared in the name of Jesus , and he proclaimed the gospel before he raise Lazarus from the dead saying,

“I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live:

And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this?”(john 11:25-26)

It was the good news toward the world that had been in death four thousand years as the corrupted body of Lazarus before the Lord Jesus appeared to the world.

Jesus testified of the way to cleanse all kinds of sin rooted in the heart of man is only with his blood only though believing in his death and resurrection. Jesus spoke unto his disciples of this:

“I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.”(john 14:6)

           Apostle Paul encouraged the saint of Ephesians that were saved through believing in the Lord Jesus Christ to make their conscience purified:

“That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts;

And be renewed in the spirit of your mind;

And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.”(Eph. 4:22-24)

             Yeah! Even born again Christians of the Spirit have to dwell in the sinful body of the lust until they put off the body of sin. The only way to put off the old man to please God is to be clothed by the new man the Lord Jesus Christ. And to be clothed with the new man is to be clothed with the whole armor of God that is the words of God to be led by the Holy Ghost. We have to speak according to the utterance by the Holy Ghost; and also have to walk in the way of righteousness by the Spirit.

              In the main passage, Apostle Paul testifies of being clothed with the new man in more details unto the Philippians saying not live only for themselves, but with live with consolation for others, and comforting of love in Christ, in the fellowship of the Spirit, to be likeminded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind, nothing to be done through strife or vain glory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves. He also encouraged them not to look every man on his own things of others. He urged them to let the mind of Christ be in them to live being clothed with the new man. The Holy Ghost is still encouraging toward us with the same message.

            He also testifies of the mind in Christ Jesus:

Christ Jesus is in the form of God, but he made himself of no reputation. he doesn’t have to come down to the earth forsaking glorious dwelling in heaven. He forsake the thoughts of self-preservation to be a man to preserve the sinners, and he humbled himself and obeyed the Father to die on the cross of curse. He forsake self-reproduction, he was full of in his heart to bring forth eternal reproduction of man in heaven and earth, and has saved their souls through his death. Wherefore God also has highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name; that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth. And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

            Jesus spoke unto his disciple to follow with the thoughts in him. In other word, they couldn’t follow Jesus without the mind of Christ within them:

“If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me…..  And he that taketh not his cross, and followeth after me, is not worthy of me.”(matt. 10:38;p16:24, Mark 8:34, Luke 9:23)

             Yeah! The thoughts of the Lord Jesus was self-denial instead of self-preservation; and not self-reproduction, but reproduction of the children of God giving them eternal life through his death; his another thoughts was not the self-satisfaction, but forsaking his reputation of King of Kings and Lord of Lords to save the world from the hands of the devil instead of the pride of life. This is the reason why the Father God exalted him to the highest glory.

              What is Christian? He is the one that walk in the world with the thoughts as he walked. Christian has to put down self-preservation, self-reproduction and self-satisfaction, but to preserve others, and bring forth reproduction of the children of God through preaching the gospel, and tries to satisfy God who wants to save all men and let them come unto the knowledge of God through preaching the gospel of salvation as well as the knowledge in the wards of God. The Lord Jesus will reward crown unto them that walk with his thoughts at the judgment seat of Christ to make them reign with him forever as the royal priests. Apostle John testified of the Lord Jesus coming to reward:

“And behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.”(Rev. 22:12)
