금주의 묵상: 시편 25:1-22

본문: 시편 37:18-34

제목: 정직(正直)한 자를 축복하시기를 기뻐하시는 하나님

            하나님께서는 그분 앞에서 바르게 행하는 자들을 기뻐하신다고 말씀하고 있습니다.  바르게 행하는 자를 또한 정직한 자라고 말씀하고 있습니다. 정직이란, 말 그대로 바르고 곧다는 뜻입니다. 비뚤어진 마음(잠 11:20)이 없고 교만하지 않으며(합 2:4) 불의와 타협하기 위하여 구부러지지 않는 자를 말씀하는 것입니다. 하나님께서 어떤 사람을 정직하다고 말씀하시며 또한 그들에게 어떤 축복을 주시기를 기뻐하시는 지에 대하여 알아야 할 것입니다.

          하나님의 사람 모세는 하나님께서는 반석이시며 그분의 역사는 완벽하나니, 이는  그분의 모든 길이 공위이심이라고 증거했습니다. 뿐만 아니라 그분께서는 진실하시고 악이 없으신 하나님이시며, 의로우시고 정직하시도다(신 32:4)라고 증거했습니다.

그렇습니다! 하나님 자신이 정직하신 분이시기 때문에 그분께서는 정직한 사람을 사랑하시는 것입니다.

            다윗 왕은 자신을 원수들의 손에서 구해내신 하나님을 찬양하면서 하나님께서 자신을 구원해 주신 이유에 대하여 “내가 그의 앞에 정직하였고, 내 죄악으로부터 나를 지켰나니, 그러므로 주께서 내 의를 따라, 그의 목전에서 나의 정결함을 따라 내게 갚으셨도다. 주께서는 자비로운 자에게는 주의 자비하심을 보이시고, 정직한 자에게는 주의 정직하심을 보이실 것이요, 순결한 자에게는 주의 순결함을 보이시고, 완고한 자에게는 주의 불쾌하심을 보이시리이다.”(삼하 22:24-27)라고 증거했습니다.

              오래 전에 하나님께서 욥을 살펴보시고 그에게 갑절의 축복을 주시기 위하여 연단하시려고 사탄을 사용하시기 전에 사탄에게 하신 말씀 가운데서도 우리는 정직한 자를 사랑하시는 하나님을 알 수 있습니다:

“너는 내 종 욥을 유의해 보았느냐? 세상에 그와 같은 사람은 아무도 없나니 그는 온전하고 정직한 사람으로 하나님을 두려워하고 악을 피하는 자니라.”(욥 1:8)

               하나님께서는 의로 세상을 심판하실 것이며 정직으로 그의 백성들을 판단하실 것이며, 또한 의로우신 주께서 의를 사랑하시며 정직한 자가 그의 얼굴을 볼 것이라고 다윗은 증거했습니다(시 9:8; 11:7)

또한 그는 앞으로 주 예수 그리스도께서 세우시는 거룩한 산 시온에 거할 자에 대하여 증거할 때에 정직하게 행하며 의를 실행하고, 그 마음에 진실을 말하는 사람이라고 증거했습니다. 이는 앞으로 주님께서 대 환란 끝에 세상에 나타나실 때 회개하는 이스라엘의 남은 자들이 그분의 왕국에 들어갈 것에 대하여 예언한 것입니다.

              그렇습니다! 하나님 자신이 선하시고 정직하시기 때문에  그분께서는 죄인들에게 그분의 선하심과 정직하심에 대하여 가르치시는 것입니다((시 25:8). 또한 마음이 정직한 사람들은 죄인들로부터는 조롱을 당할지 모르지만 하나님 앞에서 의인으로 인정받기에 주 안에서 기뻐하고 즐거워하면서 기쁨으로 소리칠 수 있는 것입니다((시 32:11)

              그러나 장차 악한 자 즉 적그리스도가 나타나게 될 때에 세상에 있는 악한 자들은 칼을 빼고 활을 당기어 가난하고 궁핍한 자들을 쓰러뜨리고 정직하게 행하는 자를 죽이려 할 것이지만 악인의 칼들은 부러지게 될 것이며 의인은 주께서 붙드실 것입니다. 그러나 박해받는 의로운 정직한 자의 날들을 아시는 하나님께서는 그들의 유업을 영원하게 할 것입니다. 뿐만 아니라 정직한 자들은 재앙의 때, 다시 말해서 유대인들이 연단을 받게 될 대 환란 때에 수치를 당하지 않게 될 것이며 기근의 날에 배부르게 될 것이라고 하나님의 말씀이 증거하고 있습니다. 또한 그들의 마지막은 화평이라고 말씀하고 있습니다(시 37:14-19,37).

              또한 하나님께로부터 복을 받은 정직한 의인들은 땅을 유업으로 받게 될 것이며, 하나님께로부터 저주받은 악인들은 땅에서 끊어지게 될 것입니다. 정직한 의인들은 박해받았던 세상, 즉 이 땅을 유업으로 받게 되는 것입니다(시 37:22, 29). 예수께서도 유대인들을 가르치실 때에 이 땅을 유업으로 받을 자들에 대하여 말씀하시면서 그들은 복있는 자들이라고 말씀하셨습니다:

“온유한 자들은 복이 있나니, 그들은 땅(the earth)을 유업으로 받을 것임이요”(마 5:5)

              하나님으로부터 지혜를 받은 솔로몬 왕은 정직하게 행하는 사람에 대하여 증거할 때에, “지혜를 멸시하는 자는 미련함을 기뻐하나, 명철한 사람은 정직하게 행하느니라….악에서 떠나는 것이 정직한 자의 대로니, 자기의 길을 지키는 자는 자기의 혼을 보존하느니라”(잠 15:21;16:17) 고 말했습니다.

또한 그는 그의 전도서에서 자신이 알아낸 유일한 것에 대하여 증거할 때에, “하나님께서는 사람을 정직하게 지으셨으나 사람들은 많은 계략들을 고안해 냈다는 것이라.”(전 7:29)라고 말했습니다. 그는 또한 하나님의 말씀이 정직한 말씀이며 진리의 말씀이라고 증거했습니다(전 12:10).

             하나님께서 타락한 이스라엘 백성들을 심판하시는 이유에 대하여 그들이 정직하지 않기 때문이라고 선지자 예레미야를 통하여 말씀하셨습니다:

“이는 이 땅이 간음하는 자들로 가득 찼고 맹세로 인하여 이 땅이 애도하기  때문이니 광야의 초장들은 마르고 그들의 행위는 악하며 그들의 힘쓰는 것은  정직하지 않도다.”(렘 23:10)

             하나님께서는 부정직하게 모은 소득과 부정직한 이익을 취하는 자들에 대하여 선지자 에스겔을 통하여 말씀하셨습니다:

“보라, 그러므로, 네가 취한 부정직한 소득과 네 가운데 있던 네 피에 대하여 내가 내 손을 쳤노라.”(겔 22:13)

뿐만 아니라, 백성들 가운데 고관으로 있던 부정직한 제사장들에 대하여서도 심판의 메시지를 선지자 예레미야를 통하여 말씀하셨습니다:

“그 가운데 있던 그녀의 고관들이 먹이를 약탈하는 이리같아서 부정직한 이익을 취하려고 피를 흘리며 혼들을 멸하였고 그녀의 선지자들은 잘 이겨지지 않은 회반죽으로 그들을 발랐으며 허망한 것을 보며 그들에게 거짓 점술을 행하여 주가 말하지 않았을 때에도 말하기를’ 주 하나님이 이같이 말하노라.’ 하였느니라.”( 22:27-28)

              선지자 미카도 심판받을 이스라엘에 대하여 그들이 감찰 받을 날이 올 것에 대하여 예언했습니다:

“선한 사람이 땅에서 사라졌고 사람들 가운데 정직한 자가 한 명도 없도다. 그들 모두가 숨어서 피를 기다리고 있으며 각기 그불로 자기 형제를 잡는도다…그들 가운데 선한 자도 찔레나무 같고 가장 정직한 자도 가시 울타리보다 더 날카롭도다. 네 파수꾼들의 날과 네 감찰의 날이 오나니 이제 그들이 당혹해 하리로다.”(미7:2,4)

                예수께서 씨뿌리는 비유를 말씀하실 때에 말씀을 듣고 깨달아 열매를 맺는 사람에 대하여 말씀하실 때에도 정직함에 대하여 말씀하셨습니다:

“씨가 좋은 땅에 떨어졌다는 것은 정직하고 선한 마음으로 말씀을 듣고 지켜서 인내로 열매를 맺는 자들이라.”(눅 8:15)

              사도 바울은 로마에 있는 성도들에게 편지할 때에 그들에게 정직함에 대하여 권면했습니다:

“아무에게도 악으로 악을 갚지 말고 모든 사람 앞에서 정직한 일을 도모하라.”(롬 12:17)

그는 고린도교회 성도들과 빌립보 교회 성도들에게도 같은 권면을 했습니다:

“이제 나는 너희가 악을 행하지 아니하도록 하나님께 기도하노니 이는 우리가 인정받은 자로 나타나려는 것이 아니라 비록 우리가 버림받은 자같이 될지라도 너희로 정직한 것을 행하게 하려 함이라.”(고후 13:7)

“끝으로 형제들아, 만일 무슨 덕이 있거나 무슨 칭찬이 있으면, 무엇이든지 참된 것, 무엇이든지 정직한 것, 무엇이든지 의로운 것, 무엇이든지 순결한 것, 무엇이든지 사랑스러운 것, 무엇이든지 좋은 평판을 얻는 것, 이런 것들을 생각하라.”(빌 4:8)

              그는 또한 그리스도의 날을 사모하며 기다리는 데살로니가인들의 교회에 편지할 때에 그들을 위하여 기도하는 것에 대하여 증거했습니다:

“화평의 하나님 바로 그분께서 너희를 온전히 거룩하게 하시고 너희의 온 영과 혼과 몸이 우리 주 예수 그리스도께서 오실 때까지 책망할 것이 없게 보존되기로 하나님께 기도하노라. 너희를 부르시는 분은 신실하시니 그가 또한 이것을 행하시리라.”(살전 5:23-24)

             그렇습니다! 우리가 죄인임을 깨닫고 예수 그리스도를 믿음으로써 주님으로 영접하였을 때 우리를 이미 온전케 하셨습니다. 하나님께서는 이 온전함을 그분께서 오실 때까지 지키기를 원하시는 것입니다. 그리스도께서는 자신의 몸을 우리들 죄인들을 위하여 한 번 드리심으로써 우리를 거룩하게 하셨습니다(히 10:10). 즉, 그리스도의 피를 통하여 우리 양심 안에 들어있던 열세 가지 더러운 죄들을 정결케 하심으로써 우리의 혼을 책망받을 것이 없도록 하신 것입니다. 우리 주 예수 그리스도께서는 한 번의 속죄제를 영원히 드린 후 하나님의 오른 편에 앉으셔서 그후로는 그의 원수들을 자기 발판으로 삼으심으로 심판하시는 날까지 하늘에서 기다리고 계시는 것입니다. 이는 그분께서 한 번의 제사로써 거룩하게 된 자들을 영원히 온전케 하셨기 때문인 것입니다(히 10:12-14).

            뿐만 아니라, 우리의 혼들이 구원을 받아 온전케 되었을 때 우리의 죽었던 영이 하나님의 말씀을 통하여 거둡나서 온전케 된 것입니다. 다윗 왕은 앞으로 자신의 영과 혼이 소생되는 날을 바라보면서 “내 혼이 진토에 붙어 있으니 주의 말씀대로 나를 소생시키소서.”(시 119:25)라는 간구의 기도를 드렸던 것입니다.

            그리고 우리의 몸도 그리스도의 할레를 통하여 육신의 죄의 몸을 이미 벗어버린 것입니다(골 2:11). 구원받기 전까지는 우리의 지체는 불의의 병기로 죄에게 내어주었던 삶이었지만 이제는 죽은자들로부터 살아난 자들처럼 하나님께 드릴 수 있게 되었으며 의의 병기로 하나님께 드릴 수 있게 된 것입니다. 더 이상 육신의 정욕을 따라 살지 않고 하나님의 영을 따라 살면서 말씀에 복종하면서 정직한 삶을 사는 자들에게 그분께서 나타나실 때 하나님의 왕국에서 몸으로 행한대로 영원한 유업을 주실 것이며 죽을 몸을 벗어버리고 죽지 않고 썩지 않는 영화로운 몸을 입게 될 것이며 또한 몸으로 말씀 안에서 정직하게 행하면서 그분께서 정결하신 것처럼 정결한 삶을 살던 사람들은 그분과 같은 모습으로 변화될 것입니다(요일 3:1-3).

          성령을 통하여 이 축복을 깨달은 다윗 왕은 :나, 나는 의 가운데서 주의 얼굴을 보리니 내가 깨면 주의 모습으로 만족하리이다.”(시 17:15)라고 하나님께 고백했습니다. 아멘! 할렐루야!

Meditation of the week: Psalms 25:1-22

Subject: God is pleased to bless them that are upright

             God is pleased to see the one that walk in righteousness before him. The scriptures define of walking in righteousness as “upright”. The word, upright means to be righteous and to be straight forward. In other word, it is not of froward  or crooked heart (Prov. 11:20), and not of lifting up or arrogant (Hab. 2:4). He is the one that is not crooked to compromise with evil. We have to understand what kind of man is considered as upright one by God, and what kinds of blessing shall be made by God.

            Moses, man of God testified of God saying, he is the Rock, his work is perfect; for all his ways are judgment; a God of truth and without iniquity, just and right is he (Deut. 32:4). Yeah! He is righteous so that he loves one of upright.

             King David spoke unto the LORD the words of the song in the day that the LORD had delivered him out of the hand of all his enemies. He also testified of the reason why the LORD had delivered from the hand of his enemies saying:

“24I was also upright before him, and have kept myself from mine iniquity.

25Therefore the Lord hath recompensed me according to my righteousness; according to my cleanness in his eye sight.

26With the merciful thou wilt shew thyself merciful, and with the upright man thou wilt shew thyself upright.

27With the pure thou wilt shew thyself pure; and with the froward thou wilt shew thyself unsavoury.”(2Sam. 22:24-27)

             Long time ago, God paid attention a man, Job, and God wanted to use Satan to try Job to give him double blessing afterwards. We are able to understand that God loves the upright through the conversation between God and Satan:

“Hast thou considered my servant Job, that there is none like him in the earth, a perfect and an upright man, one that feareth God, and escheweth evil?”(Job 1:8)

             God shall judge the world in righteousness, and he shall minister judgment to the people in uprightness. King David testified, the LORD loves righteous; his countenance does behold upright.(Ps. 9:8; 11:7) He also testified of one that shall abide in the tabernacle of the LORD saying, he walks uprightly, and works righteousness, and speaks truth in his heart (Ps. 15:1-2) He prophesied of the remnant of Israel that shall repent at the end of the Great Tribulation when the Lord Jesus Christ appears, and that shall enter the his kingdom.

              Yeah! Good and upright is the LORD; therefore will he teach sinners in the way(Ps. 25:8). Even though upright man may be mocked by sinners, but he is glad in the LORD, and rejoice shout in joy(Ps. 32:11)

              When the evil man, the Antichrist appears, the wicked shall draw out the sword, and bend their bow, to cast down the poor and needy, and to slay such as be  of upright conversation. But the arms of the wicked shall be broken; but the LORD upholds the righteous. The LORD knows the days of the upright; and their inheritance shall be forever. They shall not be ashamed in the evil time; and in the days of famine they shall be satisfied. And the end of that man is peace(Ps. 37:14-19, 37)

             Such as be blessed of the LORD shall inherit the earth; and they that be cursed of him shall be cut off. The righteous inherit the land, and dwell therein forever. (Ps. 37:22,29).

When Jesus taught the Jews, he spoke of them that shall inherit the earth:

“Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth.”(Matt. 5:5)

               King Solomon, man of wisdom that is given by the LORD testified of the man that walks in uprightness:

“Folly is joy to him that is destitute of wisdom: but a man of understanding walketh uprightly…. The highway of the upright is to depart from evil: he that keepeth his way preserveth his soul.”(Prov. 15:21; 16:17)

He also testified of the thing that was found out by himself: “Lo, this only have I found, that God hath made man upright; but they have sought out many inventions.”(Eccl. 7:29)

He also testified of the words of God being written upright, even words of truth.

               The LORD God spoke unto the people of Israel through Jeremiah of the reason why he was going to judge them because they were not upright:

“For the land is full of adulterers; for because of swearing the land mourneth; the pleasant places of the wilderness are dried up, and their course is evil, and their force is not right.”(Jer. 23:10)

                   The LORD God spoke unto the Israel through prophet Ezekiel smiting them of their dishonest gain:

“Behold, therefore I have smitten mine hand at thy dishonest gain which thou hast made, and at thy blood which hath been in the midst of thee.”(EZ. 22:13)

The LORD also declared the message of judgment unto their princes:

“27Her princes in the midst thereof are like wolves ravening the prey, to shed blood, and to destroy souls, to get dishonest gain.

28And her prophets have daubed them with untempered mortar, seeing vanity, and divining lies unto them, saying, Thus saith the Lord God, when theLord hath not spoken.

1. 22:27-28)

             Prophet Micah also prophesied of the Israel to be judged:

“The good man is perished out of the earth: and there is none upright among men: they all lie in wait for blood; they hunt every man his brother with a net….. 4The best of them is as a brier: the most upright is sharper than a thorn hedge: the day of thy watchmen and thy visitation cometh; now shall be their perplexity.”(Micah 7:2,4)

               Jesus also testified of the man that reap the fruit in his parable of sowing the seed. Jesus said that he is upright man:

“But that on the good ground are they, which in an honest and good heart, having heard the word, keep it, and bring forth fruit with patience.”(Luke 8:15)

                 Apostle Paul encouraged the saints in Rome to be upright to be honest:

“Recompense to no man evil for evil. Provide things honest in the sight of all men.”(Rom. 12:17)

He also encouraged unto the churches of Corinthians and Philippians:

“Now I pray to God that ye do no evil; not that we should appear approved, but that ye should do that which is honest, though we be as reprobates.”(2Cor. 13:7)

“Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.”(Phil. 4:8)

               He also wrote unto the church of Thessalonians that were looking forward the day of Christ saying, he is praying for them a very important:

“And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

24Faithful is he that calleth you, who also will do it.”(1Thes. 5:23-24)

               Yeah! When we received the Lord Jesus Christ by faith understanding ourselves sinners, he made us perfect. God wants us to keep this perfect until he comes. God sanctified us through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ one for all (Heb. 10:10). He purified thirteen different evils in our conscience through the blood of Christ to make our souls blameless. Our Lord Jesus Christ sat down on the right hand of God after he had offered one sacrifice for sins forever. From henceforth expecting till his enemies be made his footstool. For by one offering he has perfected for ever them that are sanctified (Heb. 10:12-14)

                  When our souls are saved to be perfected, our dead spirits were born again by the words of God to be perfected also. King David prayed unto the LORD looking forward the day of the salvation of his soul:

“My soul cleaveth unto the dust: quicken thou me according to thy word.”(Ps. 119:25)

                  We have already put off the mortal body through the circumcision of Christ (Col. 2:11). Before we were saved, we had given our body unto the Devil as the instrument of unrighteousness, but now we are able to present it unto God as the ones that are quickened from the dead. No more walking in the lust of the flesh, but led by the Spirit of God obeying the words of God to be upright, we shall be inherited in the kingdom of God as our works for him. And we shall be clothed with the glorious body, immortal and incorruptible putting off the mortal body of sin. And we shall be changed as the Lord Jesus Christ as we purify ourselves as he is pure (1John 3:1-3).

               King David understood of such amazing blessing through the Holy Ghost confessed unto the LORD God:

“As for me, I will behold thy face in righteousness: I shall be satisfied, when I awake, with thy likeness.”(Ps. 17:15)

Amen! hallelujah!
