금주의 묵상: 시편 32:1-11

본문: 로마서 6:1-23

제목: 지체를 의의 종으로 드려 거룩함에 이르라!

           하나님께서는자신이 정하신 법을 자신이 스스로 지키시며 공의를 행하시는 하나님이십니다. 물론 그분께서 공의를 행하시는 것은 그분이 사랑이시기 때문인 것입니다. 하나님께서 에덴 동산을 만드시고 그곳에 사람을 지으신 것은 그분의 말씀을 따라 행하면서 그분께서 창조하신 만물들에 대한 통치권을 주시기 위함이었습니다. 또한 하나님께서 그들에게 주신 자유 의지를 사용하여 마귀의 말에 경청하지 않고 자신의 말씀에 순종함으로 처음으로 범죄한 마귀 앞에서 영광을 받으시기 원하셨던 것입니다. 그러나 하나님께서는 자신의 독생자를 보내셔서 처음으로 죄를 지었던 마귀를 하늘과 땅으로부터 완전히 멸하시는 계획을 창세 전에 이미 하셨던 것입니다. 하나님께서는 마귀가 에덴 동산에 자신의 형상과 모양으로 만드신 첫 사람을 찾아가서 유혹할 것도 이미 아셨던 것입니다.

            하나님께서 창조하신 첫 사람은 살아있는 혼이었습니다. 아직까지 살려주는 영이신 예수 그리스도께서 이 땅에 나타나시기 전이었습니다. 아직까지 첫 사람 안에는 죽은 영을 살려주는 영, 즉 성령이 내주하지 않았던 때였습니다.(고전 15:45-47) 하나님께서는 자신의 영을 통하여 사도 바울에게 하나님의 신비로운 계획에 대하여 증거하게 하셨습니다. 하나님께서 세상의 기초를 놓으시기 전에 계획하신 일에 대하여 증거하게 하신 것입니다. 세상의 기초를 놓으시기 전이라는 것은 우리가 살고 있는 이 땅, 즉 지구를 만드시기도 전, 또한 지상에 만물들을 창조하시기도 전이며 물론 에덴 동산도 첫 사람 아담도 아직 지으시기 전이었습니다. 이 지구를 만드시기도 전에 하나님께서는 그리스도 안에서 우리를 택하시어 자신의 기쁘신 뜻에 따라 예수 그리스도를 통하여 우리를 자신의 자녀로 입양하실 것을 이미 예정하셨던 것입니다(엡 1:3-5).

            이러한 하나님의 신비로운 계획을 통하여 우리가 분명히 알 수 있는 것은 하나님께서 처음으로 죄를 지어 자신의 영광을 손상시킨 마귀를 멸하시기 위하여 잠시 동안 마귀를 사용하시어 첫 사람을 유혹하도록 허락하셨다는 것입니다. 또한 그가 힘 없이 마귀를 따라 행하게 하심으로써 하늘로부터 쫓겨난 마귀를 이 땅으로부터도 완전히 멸하시는 것을 계획하셨던 것입니다. 사람의 생각으로는 신비로운 하나님의 생각을 알 수 없는 것입니다. 옛날 하나님께서 욥을 연단하시기 위하여 몇일 동안 동안 사탄 마귀를 사용하신 것처럼 하나님께서 창조하신 사람을 하나님의 시간으로 잠깐 동안인 육 일, 즉 육천 년 동안 연단하시고 마침내 주 예수 그리스도를 믿는 사람들을 택하셔서 그들로 부터 영원토록 영광을 받기를 원하셨던 것입니다. 이에 대하여 사도 바울은 “이는 하나님께서 그 사랑하시는 이(주 예수 그리스도) 안에서우리를 받아들이신 그의 은혜의 영광을 찬양케 하려 하심이니라.”(엡 1:6)고 증거했습니다.

         성령께서는 사도 바울을 통하여 주 예수 그리스도를 통하여 주시는 의와 생명, 즉 범죄한 사람을 완전히 회복하시는 일에 대하여 증거하게 하셨습니다:

“그러나 아담으보부터 모세까지 아담의 범죄와 같은 죄를 짓지아니한 자들 위에도 사망이 군림하게 하였으니 아담은 오실 분의 모형이라. 그 범죄와는 다르지만 그 값없는 선물도 그러하도다. 만일 한 사람의 범죄로 인하여 많은 사람이 죽었다면 더욱더 하나님의 은혜와 한 사람 예수 그리스도로 인한 은혜로 말미암은 선물이 많은 사람에게 풍성하였느니라. 또 그것이 범죄한 한 사람으로 인한 것과는 다르지만  그 선물도 그러하도다. 이는 심판은 한 사람으로 말미암아 정죄에 이르렀지만 값없는 선물은 많은 범죄로 인해 의롭다 하심에 이르기 때문이라. 한 사람의 범죄로 말미암아 사망이 그 한 사람으로 인하여 군림하였다면 더욱더 은혜의 풍성함과 의의 선물을 넘치도록 받는 사람들이 한 사람 예수 그리스도로 인하여 생명 안에서 군림할 것이니라. 그러므로 한 사람의 범죄로 말미암아 심판이 모든 사람에게 임하여 정죄에 이른 것같이 한 사람의 의로 말미암아 값없는 선물이 모든 사람에게 임하여 생명의 의롭다 하심에 이르렀느니라. 한 사람의 불순종으로 인하여 많은 사람이 죄인이 된 것같이 한 사람의 순종으로 인하여 많은 사람이 의인이 되리라. 율법이 들어온 것은 범죄가 많아지게 하려는 것이라. 그러나 죄가 많아진 곳에는 은혜가 더욱 넘쳤나니 죄가 군림하여 사망이 이른 것같이 은혜도 의를 통하여 군림하여 예수 그리스도 우리 주로 인해 영원한 생명이 이르게 하려는 것이라.(롬 5:14-21)

           사도 바울을 통해 하나님의 공의와 사랑과 은혜를 증거하게 하신 것입니다. 결국 하나님의 뜻은 하늘에서 처음으로 죄를 범한 마귀를 멸하시는 공의를 행하시기 위하여 범죄한 마귀를 자신이 창조하신 이 땅에까지 나타나게 하신 것입니다. 또한 하나님께서 친히 손으로 빚어 만드신 사람이 죄를 짓게 하여 그 죄값으로 마귀를 땅으로부터도 영원히 멸하시어 영원한 불못으로 던져버리시는 계획을 세우셨던 것입니다. 또 다른 한 편으로는 마귀를 영원히 멸하시는 공의를 실행하시기 위하여 잠깐 동안(하나님의 시간으로 나흘인 사 천년) 모든 사람들을 죄와 사망과 저주 가운데 두셨던 것입니다. 그러나  마침내 아담의 모습으로 나타나신 예수 그리스도를 통하여 다시 한 번 공의를 행하셨습입니다. 이 하나님의 공의를 행하시기 위하여 하나님께서는 마귀에게 자신이 하실 일에 대하여 육천 년 전에 미리 선포하셨습니다:

“네가 이것을 행하였으니, 너는 모든 가축과 들의 모든 짐승보다 저주를 받아 네 배로 다닐 것이며 네 평생토록 흙을 먹을 지니라. 내가 너와 여자 사이에, 또 네 씨와 그녀의 씨 사이에 적의를 두리니, 그녀의 씨는 너의 머리를 부술 것이요 , 너는 그의 발꿈치를 부술 것이라.”(창 3:14-15)

             주 하나님께서는 앞으로 자신이 아내로 택하실 이스라엘을 여인으로, 그리고 이스라엘 자손인 아브라함의 씨로 나타나실 예수 그리스도에 대하여 말씀하신 것입니다. “네가 이것을 행하였으니”라고 뱀에게 말씀하신 것은 그를 영원히 심판하시기 위한 공의의 법을 선포하신 것입니다. 또한 하나님의 택한 민족 이스라엘과 마귀가 원수 관계가 될 것을 미리 말씀하신 것입니다. 이 말씀대로 이미 심판받은 이 세상 신인 마귀가 자신이 권세를 준 이 세상 정사와 권세를 사용하여 이스라엘을 박해하는 역사가 계속 되었던 것입니다. 또한 다윗의 자손으로 오신 그리스도 예수께서 뱀에 의하여 십자가에서 손과 발이 부수어질 것과 그분의 죽으심과 부활하심을 통하여 죄와 사망의 권세 잡은 자 마귀를 심판하실 것에 대하여 말씀하신 것입니다. 창세기에 나타난 이 하나님의 말씀은 최초로 세상에 선포된 그리스도의 복음이었습니다. 사도 바울은 이 그리스도의 복음에 대하여 믿는 모든 사람을 구원에 이르게 하는 하나님의 능력이라. 첫째는 유대인에게요 또한 헬라인에게라고 증거함으로써 이 세상 모든 사람들이 마귀의 머리를 부수신 그리스도 예수를 믿음으로써 하나님의 공의를 통하여 이루신 의의 생명을 받을 수 있다고 증거한 것입니다.

         이제 오늘 우리게 주신 본문 말씀을 통하여 하나님의 공의와 사랑 안에서 주 예수 그리스도를 통하여 이루신 구원받은 사람, 즉 죄와 사망과 저주로부터 해방되어 구원받은 사람이 마땅히 알고 행해야 하는 것에 대한 아주 중요한 진리를 깨달아야 하는 것입니다.

           우리가 알아야 하는 아주 중요한 사실은 우리는 더 이상 죄 가운데 살 수 없다는 것입니다. 죄 가운데 살 수 없다는 말은 죄 가운데 살아서는 안된다는 말 보다도 더 강력한 말인 것입니다. 우리가 받은 은혜를 깨닫는다면 우리는 더 이상 죄를 지을 수 없다는 것입니다. 그 이유는 우리는 이제 죄에 대하여 죽었다는 것입니다. 우리 몸은 여전히 살아 있다해도 영적으로는 죄에 대하여 죽었다는 것입니다. 다시 말해서 우리의 몸은 영적으로 예수 그리스도의 몸안에서 이천 년 전에 이미 죽었다는 것입니다, 이미 무덤 속에 들어가서 죽어있는 것처럼 되어있다는 것입니다. 하나님께서는 우리가 이 진리를 깨닫기만  하면 더 이상 죄를 지을 수 없도록 하셨다는 것입니다. 영적이라는 것은 눈에 보이는 물리적인 것과 대조를 이루는 것입니다. 안에 성령께서 내주하시는 사람은 누구나 모든 것을 물리적으로 보지 않고 하나님의 성령으로 영감을 받아 기록된 하나님의 말씀을 통하여 모든 것을 볼 수 있어야 하는 것입니다.

        사도 바울은 이에 대하여 “우리가 세상의 영을 받지 아니하고 오직 하나님께로부터 온 영을 받았으니 이는 우리로 하나님께서 우리에게 값없이 주신 것들을 알게 하려 하심이라. 또한 우리가 그것들을 말하되 인간의 지혜가 가르치는 말로 하지 아니하고 성령께서 가르치시는 말로 하나니 영적인 일들을 영적으로 비교하여 말하느니라. 그러나 자연인은 하나님의 영의 일들을 받아들이지 아니하나니 이는 그 일들이 그 사람에게는 어리석게 여겨지기 때문이요, 또 알 수도 없나니 이는 그 일들이 영적으로만이 분별되기 때문이니라.”(고전 2:12-14)고 분명하게 증거했습니다.

           또한 우리가 더 이상 죄 가운데 살 수 없는 영적인 상태에 있는 것은, 우리가 이미 영적으로는 세상에 살고 있지 않고 다른 곳에 살고 있다는 것입니다. 사도 바울은 이 사실에 대하여 증거했습니다:

“예수 그리스도 안으로 침례받은 우리가 그의 죽으심 안으로 침례받은 것을 알지 못하느냐? 그러므로 우리가 죽음 안으로 침례를 받아 그와 함께 장사되었으니 이는 아버지의 영광으로 인하여 그리스도께서 죽은 자들로부터 일으켜지심과 같이우리도 또한 생명의 새로움 가운데서 행하게 하려 함이라. 만일 우리가 그의 죽으심의 모양으로 함께 심겨졌다면 또한 그의 부활하심의 모양과 같이 되리라. 우리가 이것을 아나니 곧 우리 옛 사람이  그와 함께 십자가에 못박힌 것은  죄의 몸을 멸하여 더 이상 우리가 죄에게 종 노릇 하지 않게 하기 위함이니라. 이는 죽은 자가 죄로부터 자유롭게 되었기 때문이라.”(롬 6:5-7)

            그렇습니다! 누구든지 주 예수 그리스도를 통하여 이루신 구원을 믿는 사람마다 영적으로 그리스도의 몸 안에 들어가게 하신 것입니다. 또한 하나님의 교회는 그리스도의 몸 안에 들어간 사람들이 그분의 지체들이 되어 모여있는 거룩한 장소인 것입니다. 하나님께서는 세상의 기초를 놓으시기도 전에 자신을 믿는 많은 사람들로 하여금 그리스도의 몸 안에 들어가게 하심으로써 독생자 예수 그리스도의 형제로, 신부로, 친구로 만드시어 자신의 자녀로 입양하실 것을 예정하셨던 것입니다(엡 1:4-5).

            그러므로 하나님께서는 모든 사람이 구원을 받기를 원하시만 동시에 진리의 지식에 이르기를 원하시는 것입니다(딤전 2:4). 다시 말해서 구원빋은 사람이 자신에게 이미 이루어진 영적인 진리인 사실들을 알기를 워하시는 것입니다. 구원을 받았을지라도 영적인 지식이 없으면 하나님의 자녀답게 살 수 없는 것입니다. 그러므로 하나님의 자녀들은 모든 하나님의 말씀을 자세히 공부하면서 진리를 깨달아야 하며 진리를 알게 될 때에 어떤 일에도 매이지 않고 자유롭게 되어 자신을 부인하며 자기 십자가를 지고 주님을 따라가는 제자가 될 수 있는 것입니다.

               그러므로 이 구원의 진리를 깨달은 사람은 자신이 죄에 대하여는 죽은 자이며,예수 그리스도 우리 주로 말미암아 하나님께는 산 자로 여기며 살아야 하는 것입니다. 이러한 삶을 사는 사람은 이제부터는 더 이상 죄가 자신의 몸 안에 군림하지 못하게 함으롴써 정욕을 따라가지 않고 성령을 따라 하나님의 말씀에 순종하면서 더 이상 몸을 죄에게 드려 불의의 병기로 사용하지 않고 자신이 이제는 죽은자로부터 살아나서 새 피조물이 된 몸을 하나님께 드림으로써 의의 병기로 드릴 수 있게 되는 것입니다.

             구원받아 의의 병기로 몸을 드리는 사람은 전에는 몸을 부정과 불법의 종으로 내어주어 불법에 이른 것같이 이제부터는 지체를 의의 종으로 하나님께 드려서 거룩함에 이르게 되는 것입니다. 사도 바울은 성도들이 마땅히 지켜야 할 거룩함에 대하여 증거했습니다:

“하나님을 따라 의와 참된 거룩함 안에서 새 사람을 입으라.”(엡 4:24)

“우리 주 예수 그리스도께서 그의 모든 성도들과 함께 오실 때에 하나님, 곧 우리 아버지 앞에서 거룩함에 흠 없도록 너희 마음을 견고케 하시기를 바라노라.”(살전 3:13)

“하나님의 뜻은 이것이니, 곧 너희의 거룩함이니라. 너희는 음행을 삼가고 너희 각자가 거룩함과 존귀함으로 어떻게 자기 자신의 그릇을 소유하는가를 알며 하나님을 모르는 이방인들과 같이 색욕에 빠지지 말고  어떤 문제에 있어서도 정도를 지나쳐 자기 형제를 속이지 말라. 이는 우리가 이미 경고하였고 증거한 바와 같이 주께서는 이러한 자들에 대하여 벌을 주시는 분이시기 때문이니라. 하나님께서 우리를 부르신 것은 부정함에 이르게 하려는 것이 아니라 거룩함에 이르게 하려 하심이니라.”(살전 4:3-7)

Meditation of the week: Psalms 32:1-11

Main scripture: Romans 6:1-23

Subject: Yield your members servants of righteousness unto holiness!

            God is the righteous One that observe the law that he made himself to execute judgment. Of course, he is love so that he execute judgment.  The LORD God made the Garden of Eden, and made man to dwell therein so that he wanted the power of subdue all things that were made by him. The LORD God wanted to be glorified by man for him to hearken to his word using his free will given by him instead of hearkening the Devil. God had made a plan before the foundation of the earth to cast out the Devil that sinned in the beginning from heaven and earth through sending his only begotten Son. The LORD God must have known of the Devil that visit the first man to tempt him.

              The first man that was created was a living soul. It was before Jesus Christ that is the quickening spirit  appeared to the earth. In the first man, there was no the Holy Ghost that quickens the dead spirit of man (1Cor. 15:45-47). God made Apostle Paul testify of his mysterious plan through the Holy Ghost. It is the plan of God that was set before he made the foundation of the world. “Before the foundation of the world” means before he created the earth, and before he made all things in the earth, and even before he made the first man in the Garden of Eden. God predestined us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will (Eph. 1:3-5).

              Through such a mysterious plan of God, he allowed the Devil to tempt the first man for the time being. And he also allowed the first man to hearken the Devil to destroy the Devil from heaven and earth. The thought of man cannot understand the thought of God at all. As God tried Job using the Satan, Devil for several days, he also wanted to try man for the time being as six thousand years that is as six days before God. Finally he  may choose them that believe in Jesus Christ to receive the glory forever from them.  Of this, Apostle Paul testified into the saints of Ephesians: “To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved.”(Eph.1:6)

                The Holy Ghost made Apostle Paul testify of righteousness and life that is to given through the Lord Jesus Christ; it is of restoring sinners completely:

“Nevertheless death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over them that had not sinned after the similitude of Adam’s transgression, who is the figure of him that was to come.

But not as the offence, so also is the free gift. For if through the offence of one many be dead, much more the grace of God, and the gift by grace, which is by one man, Jesus Christ, hath abounded unto many.

And not as it was by one that sinned, so is the gift: for the judgment was by one to condemnation, but the free gift is of many offences unto justification.

For if by one man’s offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.)

Therefore as by the offence of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life.

For as by one man’s disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous.

Moreover the law entered, that the offence might abound. But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound:

That as sin hath reigned unto death, even so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord.”9Rom. 5:13-21)

             God made Apostle Paul testify of the righteousness and love and grace of God. The will of God was to have the Devil that sinned in the beginning appear in the earth to bring forth the sin to the first man that was made by the hands of God. Finally, God planned to cast the Devil into the lake of fire forever judging his sin. On the other hand, to execute the righteousness of God to destroy the Devil, God had to put all men for four thousand years that is only four days under sin and death and curse. But finally, God executed righteousness once again through Jesus Christ. To proceed to execute his righteousness, God declared against the Devil in the Garden of Eden of the judgment against the Devil six thousand years ago saying:

“And the Lord God said unto the serpent, Because thou hast done this, thou art cursed above all cattle, and above every beast of the field; upon thy belly shalt thou go, and dust shalt thou eat all the days of thy life:

And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.”(Gen. 3:14-15)

               The LORD God spoke of Israel as the woman to be chosen as his wife as well as Jesus Christ that shall appear as the seed of Abraham that is the forefather of Israel. saying unto the serpent “Because thou hast done this.”. God declared the law of righteousness of God. He also foretold the relation ship of enmity between the Devil and Israel. As God said, the human history has been continued to persecute Israel by the Devil using his Principalities and power. The LORD Gog also foretold of bruising the hand and feet of Christ Jesus by the Devil as well as the judgment of the Devil that has the power of sin and death through the death and resurrection of Christ.

This word of God appeared in the book of Genesis was the gospel of Christ declared for the first time unto the world. Apostle Paul testified of the gospel of Christ as the power of God unto salvation for them that believe. He also said, this gospel of Christ for the Jew first, and the Greek that is the Gentiles. Whosoever believes in the Lord Jesus Christ that bruised the head of the serpent, the Devil is to receive the righteousness and life through the righteousness of God.

              Through the main passages given unto us today, we should understand  a very important truth that we have to know and to do, for we are saved through the righteousness and love of God in the Lord Jesus Christ; we have been delivered from sin and death and curse to be free.

               The very important thing that we have to understand is no more to dwell in the midst of sin. “Not to be able to dwell in sins” is much more stronger word than the word  “Must not sin”. If we understand the grace that we have received, we are not to be able to sin, because we are already dead of sin. In other word, even though our body is alive physically, spiritually dead already. In other word, our body was dead in the body of Jesus Christ spiritually two thousand years ago as if we are dead in the grave.  Once we understand this truth, we cannot sin anymore. “To be spiritual” is to be compared to “To be physically” that is to be seen by our physical eyes. Whosoever has the Holy Ghost that dwells within, should not see all things physically anymore, but has to be able to see all things through the words of God inspired by the Spirit of God.

                Apostle Paul testified of this:                             

“Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.

Which things also we speak, not in the words which man’s wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.

But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.”(1Cor. 2:12-14)

                  And we are not able to sin anymore spiritually, because we are not dwelling in the world spiritually, but in another place. Apostle Paul also testified of the reason of this:

“For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection:

Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin.

For he that is dead is freed from sin.”(Rom. 6:5-7)

               Yeah! God made them that believe in the salvation through Jesus Christ be baptized into the body of Christ spiritually. And the church of God is the holy place where the members of Christ gather together. Before the foundation of the world, God predestined many people that believe in him to be the brothers of Jesus Christ as well as his bride and friend (Eph. 1:4-5).

                 Therefore, God wants to save all men, but he also wants to have them come unto the knowledge of the truth (1Tim. 2:4). In other word, he wants them to know all the truth fulfilled in them. Even though we are saved, we cannot live as the children of God. Therefore, the children of God have to search the words of God in depth to understand the truth. When we understand the truth, we are not to be bonded by anything, but to be free to deny ours3elves and take up our cross to follow the Lord as his disciples.

                Therefore, whosoever  understands the truth of salvation has to live reckoning himself indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord. Then such a spiritual man never allow sins prevailed in him not to follow the lust but obey the words of God being led by the Spirit. He never give up his body unto sins to be instrument of unrighteousness, but yield his body that became the new creature quickened from the dead unto God to be used as the instrument of righteousness.

                He that yields his body as the instrument of righteousness unto God is able to be unto holiness, no more be unto unrighteousness yielding his body as the servants to uncleanness and to iniquity unto iniquity. Apostle Paul testified of the holiness that all the saints should observe:

“And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.”(Eph. 4:24)

“To the end he may stablish your hearts unblameable in holiness before God, even our Father, at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ with all his saints.”(1Thes. 3:13)

“For this is the will of God, even your sanctification, that ye should abstain from fornication:

That every one of you should know how to possess his vessel in sanctification and honour;

Not in the lust of concupiscence, even as the Gentiles which know not God:

That no man go beyond and defraud his brother in any matter: because that the Lord is the avenger of all such, as we also have forewarned you and testified.

For God hath not called us unto uncleanness, but unto holiness.”(1Thes. 4:3-7)
