너를 축복하는 자들에게 내가 복을 주고 너를 저주하는 자를 저주하리라.
네 안에서 땅의 모든 족속들이 복을 받을 것이라." 하셨더라. (창 12:3)

Jun. 11, 2017: God’s Grace To Save The Soul From The Mortal Body Through The Breath Of Life

Posted on June 11, 2017
6-11-2017 Weekly Message
The contemplation of the week: Psalm 6: 1-10
Text: Psalm 119: 25-32
The title of the Word: God’s Grace To Save The Soul From The Mortal Body Through The Breath Of Life
God made man in the same image and likeness of God  as  trinity, to charge him the work of ruling over all things created after filling the earth with all things:
” And God made the beast of the earth after his kind, and cattle after their kind, and every thing that creepeth upon the earth after his kind: and God saw that it was good. And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.….. And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul. “(Genesis 1: 25-27; 2: 7)
That is correct! Our first ancestor, Adam, was perfectly made in the image of God. He became the son of God by receiving the Spirit of God, the breath of God’s life. They were able to live happily in the Garden of Eden as a family of God, doing the work God charged them to do in the fellowship with God. Through the breathing of life  breathed into their spirit, their living soul was able to live happily with their immortal body.
But before God created this earth, Lucifer rebelled  against God in heaven  to have the power of sin and, and came to this earth where God created and filled with life And he made the man to forsake the life of God to receive sin and death of his own.
By accepting  sin and death, the spirit of man lost life. Although Adam died nine hundred and thirty years old (Genesis 5: 5), his spirit died on the day of eating the fruit of the tree of knowledge of good and evil. Since then, the living soul of man has become unable to live according to the Spirit of the breath of life, and is bound to the mortal body, so that the body cannot but live according to the desire as it pleases. The serpent, the devil who came to Eve, tempted by saying that he would not necessarily die on the day that she eat  the fruit forbidden tree by God. The serpent  put the words of sin and death into the Word of God’s life saying you shall surely die. In addition, the devil tempted her saying on the day they eat  it, her eye shall be open  to become like gods to know good and evil (Gen. 3: 4-5)
As soon as they received the words of the devil’s death, the fragrance of death came into them and they looked at the tree, and when they looked at it, the tree looked good, and the tree seemed to be pleasant to eat. The purpose of the devil is to bring sin into the consent of the consoled in the image of God, to take away the life that was in him, and to receive his sin and death, to follow him.
From that moment, the soul of man has lost its life and has to live according to its body to die. The body of sin has come to live in pursuit of what the flesh wants. In addition, as the serpent said, the man himself became like god, and he lived in the pride of life, and when one day the death of the flesh come, he is forced to go to the dwelling place with the devil.
Apostle John, who realized the truth, exhorted spiritually to the spiritually young saints:
” Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of Go” (1 John 2: 15-17)
In the text, David, a man of God, realizes this and prays earnestly to God. saying “ My soul cleaveth unto the dust: quicken thou me according to thy word..” (Psalm 119: 25)
He thought himself a righteous man until  committed  adultery  and murder, and spoke unto the LORD to do according to his righteousness when he prayed . However, he finally realized that he is  a miserable sinner, and confessed that his soul could not survive forever unless he is saved from the body of sin like the dust. He realized that if the Lord Jesus Christ does not come, he shall not be able to have  life to be quickened. The word, quicken is not merely to live, but to ask for eternal life.
Apostle Paul recognized this truth and testified in the message of the Saints’ resurrection:
” And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit. ‘(1 Corinthians 15:45).
Jesus who came as the last Adam for those who died in the mortal body and lives without hope in himself said, he is the one to give eternal life :
“ It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.” (John 6:63)
The Lord Jesus said that He came to save the spirit that was dead in the first man to let man know  body of man  became to be useless as sinful nature  because of sin. Jesus taught, through quickening dead spirit the living soul to be united with quickened spirit no more to follow the body of sin. . But most of Jews at that time did not realize at all. Not only they, but most  of people who live on this earth today also in the  spiritual ignorance.
The Lord Jesus Christ saw that the souls of all Adam’s sons were attached to the sinful body of sin and could not escape the lusts of the body for the rest of their lives and died as a servant of the devil. He died on the cross to save man’s soul from sin Not only death himself, but he took  the suffering of the soul that the world has received. He spoke unto the disciples of this before he made the final prayer: ” My soul is exceeding sorrowful, even unto death: tarry ye here, and watch with me. (Matthew 25:38)
Apostle Paul also testified in his letter to the Hebrews:
” For the earth which drinketh in the rain that cometh oft upon it, and bringeth forth herbs meet for them by whom it is dressed, receiveth blessing from God: But that which beareth thorns and briers is rejected, and is nigh unto cursing; whose end is to be burned. But, beloved, we are persuaded better things of you, and things that accompany salvation, though we thus speak. For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have shewed toward his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister.“(Heb 6: 7-10)
That is why the Lord Jesus Christ gives eternal life to those who believe the  suffering, death, burial, and resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ, to quicken the spirit and separate the soul from the body of sin. As David sought to revive him according to the word of the Lord, the Lord himself came into the body, separating the soul attached to sin from the body of sin to restore spirit and soul to the image of God again. Apostle Paul testified this as circumcision of Christ:
” In whom also ye are circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, in putting off the body of the sins of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ:” (Colossians 2:11)
He also testified to the Hebrews that the Word of God, which is sharper than the sword, performs the circumcision of Christ in the body of man:
” For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.” (Hebrews 4:12)
Amen! Hallelujah!
