Contemplation of the Week: Psalms 46:1-11

Text: Isaiah 26: 1-4

The title of the Word: The Lord Jesus Christ, King of Righteousness and King of Peace

         Since Satan brought lies to the earth, he has deceived people by shouting world peace through his rulers for the last 6,000 years. But in the world where there is no truth, peace can never come. When the truthful Lord Jesus Christ appeared in the world, he spoke clearly about His purpose:

”  Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword. For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.  And a man’s foes shall be they of his own household. “(Matthew 10: 34-39).

           If man  not realizes that the God of peace did not come to give peace to the world, he must not forget that he could accept another Christ, the Antichrist, without believing in Christ Jesus. The Lord Jesus Christ must be understood of the fact that he is the king of righteousness before he is the king of peace. In other words, if we cannot believe that we are justified and  come out of the false world, and enter the kingdom of God, we will never have the eternal peace that God gives.

         Therefore, Apostle Paul, who received the peace given by God, testified of the peace he enjoys: “ For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost.” (Rom 14: 17). Only in those who believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, the King of Righteousness, and accept the righteousness of God, there will be peace and joy in that peace.

          God spoke to the nation of Israel whom he had chosen through the prophet Isaiah. This is not only the words unto  the people of Israel, but also unto the children of the church of God, who have believed in the blood of Christ. He said that the song of joy will be sung in the land of

They omitted the prophesy of Micah,  saying,” And he shall judge among many people, and rebuke strong nations afar off;  “( Judah, the  promised land to Abraham in Jerusalem, the city of peace in the future, when Jerusalem is to be the strong city. At this time, the city shall be only for  the righteous people who keep the truth to  enter. It is also a promise that only righteous people who will entrust their hearts to the Lord will live in perfect peace. They will live in eternal peace, not for a short while, but for the Lord forever. It is  said that they trust in the Lord because there is eternal power in the Lord Jehovah.

             When God called Abraham and chose the people of Israel through his grandson Jacob, he made Jerusalem, the city of peace, in the promised land to Abraham. He also said that it is Zion where  the King, the Lord Jesus Christ is to dwell.. Since Adam, the city has been  built a unique city of peace in this earth  where war does not end because of the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the lies and greed in the man full of life’s pride. However, Jerusalem, the city of peace, was destroyed by Babylon and Roman Empire  because of the fall of the Israelites who lived in the city, and now it has become a city of terror, not a city of peace. But God will someday make a plan to restore Jerusalem to be  a peaceful city in which the Lord Jesus Christ, the King of righteousness and peace, dwells. God said, ” Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: they shall prosper that love thee.” (Psalm 122: 6).

            Jerusalem was destroyed to the extent that no stone  remained on a stone by the Roman in 70 AD, and the Israelites were scattered all over the world to become a nation of diasporas. In 1948, 1900 years later, in order to fulfill God’s plan for the Jews, some went back to the land of Palestine, and finally the nation of Israel was established. But Jerusalem is still a city of terror, not a city of peace. At this time, the United Nations was formed and launched with the banner of world peace. Micah 4: 3a). They say  though the UN, “ they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruninghooks: nation shall not lift up a sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more.
“(Micah 4: 3b) UN has stolen the Word of God.

           The rulers of all the nations are united with the UN are still promising that they will still rule peacefully, but since the United Nations has been in the world, there has never been a day when there is no war  in this world. Instead of destroying weapons to make farming equipments, now the world is filled with weapons of mass destruction such as nuclear weapons and biochemical weapons. Presidents of the United States, who is proud of being the world president, have been trying to make peace in the Palestinian land that God promised Abraham to make peace in the world without the Lord Jesus Christ, but God is smiling in heaven:

 “Why do the heathen rage, and the people imagine a vain thing? The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the Lord, and against his anointed, saying, Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords from us. He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: the Lord shall have them in derision.Then shall he speak unto them in his wrath, and vex them in his sore displeasure.” (Psalm 2: 1-6)

          The Antichrist, who will soon become the world president through the New World Order, will lead the whole world into destruction by not believing in the Lord Jesus Christ, king of righteousness, king of righteousness, through the promise of world peace. Through the prophet Daniel,  God has foretold:

” And through his policy also he shall cause craft to prosper in his hand; and he shall magnify himself in his heart, and by peace shall destroy many: he shall also stand up against the Prince of princes; but he shall be broken without hand….. Then shall stand up in his estate a raiser of taxes in the glory of the kingdom: but within few days he shall be destroyed, neither in anger, nor in battle. And in his estate shall stand up a vile person, to whom they shall not give the honour of the kingdom: but he shall come in peaceably, and obtain the kingdom by flatteries.estate: or, place And with the arms of a flood shall they be overflown from before him, and shall be broken; yea, also the prince of the covenant.“(Daniel 8: 25; 11: 20-22)

           That is correct! There is no peace in this world, including this Jerusalem, until the Lord Jesus Christ, king of righteousness and peace, comes again as  the  king of kings, and judges nations and establishes his kingdom in Jerusalem. It is impossible to have peace with God, but  only possible by believing in the Lord Jesus Christ, the righteousness of God. Apostle Paul testified to the Saints in Rome who are enjoying peace in persecution:

” Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God. 3And not only so, but we glory in  tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience; And patience, experience; and experience, hope: And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us. “(Romans 5: 1-5)

           In order to enjoy Jehovah Shalom, in which we may not fear, like the saints who suffered extreme persecution in ancient Rome, we should trust with whole heart  in the Lord as the text says today, We  have to enjoy the peace given in believing in God (Romans 8:27). This faith alone is the power to win this world (1John 5: 4-5). The weaker we are, the more we have to live in a faith that trusts in the Lord, and  we can do all things by the  strength  through Christ (2 Corinthians 12:10, 4:13).
