This week’s meditation: Psalms 37:1-40

Scripture: II Corinthians 11: 1-15

Word Title: Let’s discern the servant of  Jesus Christ and of Satan!

            Saying “Jesus is the Christ”, He is God himself as well as His only begotten Son who is anointed by God as a Prophet and  the King of kings and  recognized as the High Priest. Apostle Paul testified of Jesus as “Christ Jesus” instead of “Jesus Christ” to testify of himself as the servant of true Christ. When he wrote unto the churches, he greeted them saying Paul   the servant of  Jesus Christ, and said Paul called to be an apostle of Jesus Christ through the will of God.

             In the main passage, Apostle Paul warns of false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ. Before he warned of them, he testified of the church of God as he may present them as a chaste virgin to a husband Christ through the gospel..

              He also speaks of Eve who  was made  to be a  helper for Adam as a chaste virgin to testify of the church of God made as a chaste virgin  for the Lord Jesus Christ, the last Adam. And as the serpent deceived Eve , a chaste virgin in the Garden of Eden, even nowadays, serpents enter in the church of God that is the Eden built in the earth again to deceive the foolish Eves in the church through their temptation.  

         In addition, he testified of the tricks of the serpents(the servants of Satan)  in the church Of God, the Garden of God. He warned them saying, they preach another Jesus that was not preached by Apostle Paul, and  another spirit, and another gospel. Unfortunately, as Even was deceived by the serpent, they also were deceived by false apostles, deceitful workers.

        Satan was the anointed as the covering Cherubim  before he sinned. He was also Christ. The prophet Ezekiel was witness to this fact:

“Son of man, take up a lamentation upon the king of Tyre, and say unto him, Thus saith the Lord God; Thou sealest up the sum, full of wisdom, and perfect in beauty. Thou hast been in Eden the garden of God; every precious stone was thy   covering, the sardius, topaz, and the diamond, the beryl, the onyx, and the jasper, the sapphire, the emerald, and the carbuncle, and gold: the workmanship of thy tabrets and of thy pipes was prepared in thee in the day that thou wast created.  Thou art the anointed cherub that covereth; and I have set thee so: thou wast upon the holy mountain of God; thou hast walked up and down in the midst of the stones of fire. Thou wast perfect in thy ways from the day that thou wast created, till iniquity was found in thee. By the multitude of thy merchandise they have filled the midst of thee with violence, and thou hast sinned: therefore I will cast thee as profane out of the mountain of God: and I will destroy thee, O covering cherub, from the midst of the stones of fire. “(Ezekiel 28: 12-16)

           Gospel of Christ that we believed  is the gospel of grace and the gospel of life. The gospel was the only revealed unto Apostle Paul by  the Lord Jesus Christ. He sometimes called this gospel as  my gospel:  (Rom. 2:6):

” But I certify you, brethren, that the gospel which was preached of me is not after man. For I neither received it of man, neither was I taught it, but by the revelation of Jesus Christ.” (Gal. 1:11-12))

            We know what he preached the gospel of Jesus Christ can be seen in detail through his epistles. But then and now Satan’s servants preach any other gospel to deceive the saved Christians in the church:

” I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel:Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ. But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed  “(Gal. 1:6-8)

          That’s right! It is totally impossible to mix any work of man for salvation that gives the eternal life into the gospel of grace only through the blood of Christ. Therefore, no can boast himself thinking himself better than others. And any work of man cannot cancel the salvation that we received.

           Thus, the apostle Paul warned against those who are against the doctrine taught through his letters unto the  saints in Rome:

 ” Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and avoid them. For they that are such serve not our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly; and by good words and fair speeches deceive the hearts of the simple. “(Romans 16: 12-13)

           We are able to find wisdom how to discern the tricks of the servants of Satan as their father ,the  serpent tempted Eve in the Garden of Eden. The serpent drew the Eve’s eyes interested in the tree of the knowledge of good and evil away from the tree of life for her to die after all. In other word, even nowadays, the servants of Satan tempt Christians  only look into the world full of the trees of good and evil blinding their eyes not to see the eternal inheritance that they shall receive in the future. As the result of this, the same foolish Eves are going to serve Mammon away from serving God. And the spirit of Stan n is to occupy their heart. Jesus declared of this very clearly:  :

” No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.”(Matthew 6: 24)

         That’s right! The serpent that tempted Eve so that she followed the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes and the pride of life instead  of serving God. Even today, the great number of the serpents draw the great number of Eves to their churches to make them their servant not of the Lord Jesus Christ. They mix leavens that is the theology of prosperity into the words of God to make the heart of  their people to be corrupted to lose the truth, and make them think, godliness ids gain. In other word, the blessing of material is the only parameter of  their faith.

           The word of God is warning very clearly against the servants of Satan that preach another gospel as well as modern Eves that are following them:  

” Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God. Do ye think that the scripture saith in vain, The spirit that dwelleth in us lusteth to envy? “(James 4: 4-5)?

           Inside the servants of Christ, the Holy Ghost is dwelling that is the Spirit of Christ. But the servants of Satan are the children of Satan even they pretend to be born again Christians. John the Baptist as well as Jesus  rebuked the religious leaders ad Pharisees and Sadducees and the Scribes that were respected as the teachers by the Jews:

” But when he saw many of the Pharisees and Sadducees come to his baptism, he said unto them, O generation of vipers, who hath warned you to flee from the wrath to come? (Matthew 3:07)

” Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it. “(John 8:44)

            However, the servant of Christ is with the Holy Ghost that is the Spirit of Christ. To discern the spirit is only possible through their fruits as Jesus said.  Before Jesus departed  the world, he spoke unto the disciples of  what the Holy Ghost, the Comforter is going to do:

: ” Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.  He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall shew it unto you. “(John 16: 13-14).

              Apostle Paul testified      unto Timothy a pastor of the will of God. In other word, he testified of the things that is going to be done by the Holy Ghost: Letter to Timothy, the apostle Paul when a servant of Christ and pastor of God’s will, in other words testified against the Holy Spirit things:

” Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.“ (1 Timothy 2: 4)

        That’s right! The servant of Christ in the Spirit of God always dedicate themselves to preach the gospel through the demonstration of the Spirit and power; and testify of all things that shall be done in heaven and earth. Apostle Paul testified  after he finished the race of faith before he departed the earth: Wherefore I take you to record this day, that I am pure from the blood of all men. For I have not shunned to declare unto you all the counsel of God.  (Acts 20: 26-27 )  Amen! Hallelujah
