12-10-2017 Weekly Message The contemplation of the week: Psalm 34: 1-22 Text: Job 42: 1-6 The title of the Word: Prayer of the one that has divine meeting with God
The Book of Job is the first book written before Genesis was recorded. Job was a man who lived about four thousand years ago. He is the person who lived before the birth of Moses who wrote the book of Genesis. Through the book of Job, we have wisdom to understand what God is and what are the people living on the earth.
Job could not answer even a word when God asked him that he had never thought about. . No matter how famous scientists are, there is not one person who can answer questions that God has asked Job.
Job, who saw God in his eyes, confessed, ” I know that thou canst do every thing, and that no thought can be withholden from thee.” (Job 42: 2). He then confessed, ” Who is he that hideth counsel without knowledge? therefore have I uttered that I understood not; things too wonderful for me, which I knew not.” (Job 42: 3).
Job then begged Him to realize how ignorant he was about God and the things that he had done in heaven and earth and asked God to let him know about God. In other word he confessed himself totally ignorant of God as , OMNI POTENT, OMNI SCIENT, and OMNI PRESENT, Upon understanding of his true being, and confessed saying,. ” I have heard of thee by the hearing of the ear: but now mine eye seeth thee..” (Job 42: 5)
Finally, Job realized that he was a miserable and ignorant sinner before the Almighty God and offered a godly prayer of repentance before God: ” Wherefore I abhor myself, and repent in dust and ashes.“ (Job 42: 6 )
When he stood in a miserable state before the Lord God, he lost seven beloved sons and three daughters in one day, and all his possessions were robbed of all the robbers, and his beloved wife left him cursing him to die cursing God whom he believed. And his whole body was in the most miserable state of scratching his wounds with a piece of earthenware in the course of the burning of the leprosy-like pressure ulcers. It was only after he had been miserable that he had lost everything and his body even when he was about to die. Then, when he stood before God, he realized how ignorant, evil, and abominable things he said, thought and acted about God in his own way.
The confessions of this Job show that only a very small number of church goers today saying themselves believing in God have divine meeting with God, realizing how selfless and miserable they are and offering their prayers of repentance. When those who have heard Him in this way meet Him and realize what He is, their lives will turn into thanksgiving. Also, when you meet God like Job, and realize also that there is no way of living unless someone who is innocent dies for his sins in order to be saved for his sins. And upon hearing the gospel of Jesus Christ, trust in Christ Jesus Christ with all hear, and receive him.
Job testified about the coming of the Lord Jesus Christ on earth to die for his sins in the future:
” For I know that my redeemer liveth, and that he shall stand at the latter day upon the earth:26And though after my skin worms destroy this body, yet in my flesh shall I see God:
27Whom I shall see for myself, and mine eyes shall behold, and not another; though my reins be consumed within me. “(Job 19:25-27)
Job lived two thousand years before Jesus came to the earth to take away the sin of the world through his death on the cross. Therefore all men born in the earth with all the sins, death, and curses in their DNA inherited from Adam. Apostle Paul testified about the judgment of those who lived by conscience without the law:
” For when the Gentiles, which have not the law, do by nature the things contained in the law, these, having not the law, are a law unto themselves:
15Which shew the work of the law written in their hearts, their conscience also bearing witness, and their thoughts the mean while accusing or else excusing one another;)
16In the day when God shall judge the secrets of men by Jesus Christ according to my gospel. “(Romans 2: 14-16).
But since the last two thousand years when Jesus came to take away all the sins of the world through taking them in his body and died, the only way to be saved from sin, death, and curse is by faith alone, Just as God was always keeping an eye on Job’s life in heaven, God is still seeing all people today from heaven . Apostle Paul testified about this:
” For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to theimage of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.
30Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified.
31What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?“(Romans 8: 29-31)
After God had seeing Job to about him, while the Sons of God stood in heaven, while Satan was walking around the earth, God told Satan about Job:
” And the LORD said unto Satan, Hast thou considered my servant Job, that there is none like him in the earth, a perfect and an upright man, one that feareth God, and escheweth evil?.” (Job 1: 8)
At this time Satan, who is still accusing the children of God, replied saying to God:
” Doth Job fear God for nought?
10Hast not thou made an hedge about him, and about his house, and about all that he hath on every side? thou hast blessed the work of his hands, and his substance is increased in the land.
11But put forth thine hand now, and touch all that he hath, and he will curse thee to thy face. “(Job 1: 9-11).
God had known Satan already that rebelled against him and said to him: ” Behold, all that he hath is in thy power; only upon himself put not forth thine hand. So Satan went forth from the presence of the LORD.“ (Job 1:12) Satan, with God’s permission, killed Job’s sons and daughters in a day when they were eating in the house of the oldest son causing a storm striking the corners of the house, . He also called robbers to rob all the livestock of Job, and even burned all the possessions and servants of Job with the fire coming down from heaven.
Nevertheless, Job did not grumble against God on his lips and said
: ” Naked came I out of my mother’s womb, and naked shall I return thither: the LORD gave, and the LORD hath taken away; blessed be the name of the LORD.. Job 1:21)
God saw Job not sinning with his lips because he was afraid of himself, and said to Satan:
“ Hast thou considered my servant Job, that there is none like him in the earth, a perfect and an upright man, one that feareth God, and escheweth evil? and still he holdeth fast his integrity, although thou movedst me against him, to destroy him without cause.“(Job 2:3)
Satan, who accuses the people of God in this time, asked that God should allow him to strike his body. And God asked him not touch his life. Satan, who has been given permission, immediately smote Job’s with the sore boils of the foot unto the head.. At this time Job was sitting with his body scraping with a piece of earthenware.
We must realize the profound meaning of God’s book of Job. First, the Jews who still claim the righteousness of the law will enter the Great Tribulation and receive tremendous suffering as Job did from the Antichrist, the incarnation of Satan. At this time, when they see the Lord Jesus Christ at His Second Coming, they shall see the Lord with their eyes. they shall understand how much miserable their righteousness of the law. 42 chapters of Job symbolize the 42 months of the second half of the Great Tribulation that is one time, two time and half time as recorded in the book of Revelation when they shall be suffering as Job suffered. . The prophet Isaiah prophesied beforehand the scene of their repentance as Job:
” Thou meetest him that rejoiceth and worketh righteousness, those that remember thee in thy ways: behold, thou art wroth; for we have sinned: in those is continuance, and we shall be saved.6But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses areas filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and ouriniquities, like the wind, have taken us away.
7And there is none that calleth upon thy name, that stirreth up himself to take hold of thee: for thou hast hid thy face from us, and hast consumed us, because of our iniquities. “(Isaiah 64: 5-7)
Also, if God the Lord Jesus Christ, who will appear to all the Gentiles who are living in their own righteousness of being perfect and honest, to die for the sins of the world and to remove all the sins, deaths, and curses in the people, They also are given the message that they have to be sent in hell unless they believe in him. As God-fearing Job at that time had finally came to realize that his righteousness was a bare miserable existence that would have nothing to do before God and that the Redeemer should come forth on this earth, When they hear the words, they have to realize that they cannot be saved without believing in the Lord Jesus Christ.
Even now, God is watching every single person in the world. When someone dies, they cannot take anything, and if they die, they will be consumed by the worms that devoured Job’s body after three days of rotting, and those who know that they are miserable sinners who do not know where their souls go Knowing in advance and sending evangelists to preach and save the gospel.
God reproved three of his friends who had criticized Job, who was used as a tool to fulfill God’s will till the end, not to grumble in all suffering to be glorified before Satan, but to Job as a double blessing. God also gave seven sons and three daughters and made his three daughters the most beautiful women. Apostle James testified about Job: ” Behold, we count them happy which endure. Ye have heard of the patience of Job, and have seen the end of the Lord; that the Lord is very pitiful, and of tender mercy.” (James 5:11)
We can see in the Bible examples of God’s forebears. The Ethiopian eunuch, the Roman centurion Cornelius, tax collector Zacchaeus, and prostitutes who came before the Lord, and the lewd woman who lived in Samaria. All of them were the people who waited for the Messiah by realizing that they were miserable sinners and fearing God.
If you read in detail the words God has asked Job (Job chapters 38-41), you can see how ignorant we are about all of God’s power. Scientists must-read words. He knows us in advance and gives us grace to believe in our Redeemer, the Lord Jesus Christ, to justify us, to live in the glorious Christ, and to praise Him who glorifies us as much as we suffer for His coming. Amen ! Hallelujah!
