1-7-2018 New Year’s Message The contemplation of the week: Psalm 21: 1-13 Text: Psalm 1: 1-6 The title of the Word: The most blessing given by God
On the sixth day of creation of all things in the earth, God made man and woman and blessed them, saying: ” Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth..” (Genesis 1:28)
The blessing God has given to man is to give birth to children forever giving them the sovereignty of ruling over the things that God created.
However, because of their sin, their blessing was taken away by the devil overnight. Then, over the last six thousand years, the earth has been fallen into the hand of the devil, and he has become the ruler of all things.
After four thousand years, God, who created all things, came in the form of Adam to bring back the earth that was taken away from man. The devil, who tempted the first man, Adam, unto sin, tempted even Jesus, the God manifested in the flesh, He showed Him to tempt Jesus and to take possession of this earth forever for his own: ” And the devil, taking him up into an high mountain, shewed unto him all the kingdoms of the world in a moment of time.6And the devil said unto him, All this power will I give thee, and the glory of them: for that is delivered unto me; and to whomsoever I will I give it.7If thou therefore wilt worship me, all shall be thine.” (Luke 4:5-7)
For the devil’s word saying that the kingdom of this world had been handed over to him, Jesus did not say that it was not true. Because the man that God created did not obey the Word of God, but heard the devil and sinned, he gave up the earth given by God unto the devil to be the slave of the devil.
Since then, the devil has given this world to those who worship him, and have them become his servants to rule the earth. Therefore, Apostle Paul testified of the powers who have been given authority from the devil:
” For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places..” (Eph 6:12)
God wanted to restore the blessings which the devil took away through his Son, and he made a plan to give it to man again, and he called a man, Abram.
” Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father’s house, unto a land that I will shew thee:2And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing:3And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.. “(Genesis 12: 1-3)
God has spoken of the blessings that man will receive for the first time. He also said that the blessing of God will be given to all the tribes of the earth through Abram, and God said, Abram will be blessing itself.
God chose Abram to send his only begotten Son as his seed in the image of a man like Adam. God sent Jesus Christ to the earth that was taken away by the devil appearing as a man like Adam, so that Jesus may overcome the temptation that the first man in the Garden of Eden failed to remove the sins of the world through his death..
Through Apostle Paul, the Holy Spirit testified about the blessings that all men will receive in the seed of Abram, and who the seed is: “Christ hath redeemed us from the curseof the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree:
14That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.
15Brethren, I speak after the manner of men; Though it be but a man’s covenant, yet if it be confirmed, no man disannulleth, or addeth thereto.16Now to Abraham and his seed were the promises made. He saith not, And to seeds, as of many; but as of one, And to thy seed, which is Christ..” (Galatians 3: 13-16)
That’s right! The blessing that God gives through Jesus Christ, one of Abraham’s seeds, is the promise of the Holy Spirit. In other words, when we are justified by faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, we receive the Spirit of God to be the sons of God. Before Adam sinned, he was the son of God (Luke 3:38), but after he sinned, he had lost the position of his son ship.
Through the first chapter of the book of Psalms, God spoke of the blessings of them who become children of God: ” Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. 2But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night“(Ps 1: 1-2)
God speaks about blessed man and the wicked one . In other word, he spoke of a man who has the promise of the Holy Spirit and becomes the child of God; and who follows the lust by worshiping the devil who is still ruling the world. Blessed are those who already receive the promise of the Holy Spirit.. The Holy Spirit of God leads us to all the truth and tells us things that will come before God’s children” (John 16: 13-14).
This is why blessed people do not always look at the world but look for the truth and are concerned about the blessings that will be revealed in the future and their only concern is in the Word of God written by the Holy Spirit. However, the man who did not receive the Holy Spirit and worshiped the devil as the first man, still lives in the world that is perishing, and living as a wicked person before God following the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life.
Jesus spoke through John the Baptist as to how Jesus deal with them that became the sons of God as the grain as well as the chaffs without the Spirit of God: “ Whose fan is in his hand, and he will throughly purge his floor, and gather his wheat into the garner; but he will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire. “(Matthew 3:12)
The scripture is talking about the blessings and judgment that is to come in Psalm chapter 1. As to the grain, he said, ” And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.” (Psalm 1: 3) They shall prosper eternally dwelling with God forever more when he come again in his glory..
And to the wicked, ” The ungodly are not so: but are like the chaff which the wind driveth away.5Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous. 6For the LORD knoweth the way of the righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall perish. “(Psalm 1: 4-6).
The most blessing that the children of God will enjoy is that when the Lord Jesus comes back to take over this world in the future, man will regain his sovereignty over the earth that Adam gave up to the devil. Even though we living in this world in the midst of suffering hearing the mocking of the wicked, but in that day, we shall be enjoying the glorious life with Christ as his helping spouse forever. Therefore, we are able to live a life of meditating the word of God day and night rejoicing only his words which contains the words of this promise. Apostle Paul testified of these glorious blessings to the saints who had been severely persecuted by the Emperor Nero in Rome:
” And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together. 18For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us. “(Romans 8: 17-18).
Apostle Paul also testified to the pastor Timothy about a joint heir with Christ: ” If we suffer, we shall also reign with him: if we deny him, he also will deny us:“ (2 Timothy 2:12)
That’s right! Jesus Christ, who became a man in the image of Adam, overcame the sins, curses, and death that came from the devil, and judged the devil on the cross. When He comes again, He will bind the Devil and become the last Adam to take over the earth and reign by himself. Apostle John testified about this scene: ” And I saw an angel come down from heaven, having the key of the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand. 2And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years, 3And cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal upon him, that he should deceive the nations no more, till the thousand years should be fulfilled: and after that he must be loosed a little season.“(Revelation 20: 1-3)
Long time ago, a psalmist testified of the sight of the Lord Jesus Christ, who will be the ruler of this world, ” The LORD reigneth; let the people tremble: he sitteth between the cherubims; let the earth be moved.2The LORD is great in Zion; and he is high above all the people.” (Psalm 99: 1-2)
