너를 축복하는 자들에게 내가 복을 주고 너를 저주하는 자를 저주하리라.
네 안에서 땅의 모든 족속들이 복을 받을 것이라." 하셨더라. (창 12:3)

The contemplation of the week: Psalm 30:1-12
Text: Psalm 102:17-22
Word of God: God is hearing  the prayers of the saints  groaning in the midst of suffering in North Korea
            In order to fulfill His will, God sometimes puts His people and children in distress under the rulers and powers who hold the power of the world, but in the midst of suffering they will realize the will of God and God will finally hear their groaning and prayer ; finally God is to judge them who persecute them to set them free.
              God promised Abraham to give the land of Palestine, and at the same time, God said unto him, before they entered there, they shall  be in affliction in the place where  is not their own land as the foreigners, and God will judge the nation that afflicted them:
” Know of a surety that thy seed shall be a stranger in a land that is not theirs, and shall serve them; and they shall afflict them four hundred years;
14And also that nation, whom they shall serve, will I judge: and afterward shall they come out with great substance. “(Genesis 15: 13-14)
            As God told Abraham, the children of Abraham had been in slaveries  in Egypt for four hundred years, and cried out to God. And God called Moses who had been disciplined by God in the wilderness for  forty years.  Through the plagues God had sent down to the land of Egypt, He saved millions of the people of Israel. As God promised, he judged Egypt sweeping them all into the Red Sea not leaving any one of them including Pharaoh.
            Also, God handed  his people of Israel over to Babylon when they not served him, but Babylon and their idols, even they not observed the  years of Sabbath.  Finally, God promised that through Jeremiah the prophet his destruction would end when seventy years had passed. When the time was fulfilled, Daniel, the man of prayer  realized the will of God, and he  interceded for the sins of himself and his people:
” And I prayed unto the LORD my God, and made my confession, and said, O Lord, the great and dreadful God, keeping the covenant and mercy to them that love him, and to them that keep his commandments;
5We have sinned, and have committed iniquity, and have done wickedly, and have rebelled, even by departing from thy precepts and from thy judgments:
6Neither have we hearkened unto thy servants the prophets, which spake in thy name to our kings, our princes, and our fathers, and to all the people of the land.
7O Lord, righteousness belongeth unto thee, but unto us confusion of faces, as at this day; to the men of Judah, and to the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and unto all Israel, that are near, and that are far off, through all the countries whither thou hast driven them, because of their trespass that they have trespassed against thee.
….. O Lord, hear; O Lord, forgive; O Lord, hearken and do; defer not, for thine own sake, O my God: for thy city and thy people are called by thy name. “(Daniel 9: 4-7, 19)
           When His people acknowledged their sins and prayed, God sent Savior to save them. Through Moses he saved them from Egypt, and sent Cyrus king of Persia to save them from Babylon.
           In addition, God destroyed Rome overnight, when he heard the prayers of many God’s children who had been persecuted and slain under Roman Empire.  He also heard the prayers of thousands of saints who had long been persecuted under Communist ruled in Eastern Europe and finally judged the communist countries.
         You can see God’s mercy in saving the people who cry out in the groaning in the text that we are given today:
” He will regard the prayer of the destitute, and not despise their prayer.
18This shall be written for the generation to come: and the people which shall be created shall praise the LORD.
19For he hath looked down from the height of his sanctuary; from heaven did the LORD behold the earth;
20To hear the groaning of the prisoner; to loose those that are appointed to death;
21To declare the name of the LORD in Zion, and his praise in Jerusalem;
22When the people are gathered together, and the kingdoms, to serve the LORD.. “(Psalm 102: 17-22)
          We still see two countries that are not afraid of God and persecute and kill the children of God. It is China and the North Korean Communist Party. They have been brutally persecuting and killing the children of God for the past seventy years. Now the seventy years, the number of God, have come to an end, and they also cannot escape from God’s judgment.
            A few years ago, when the saints of the Chinese underground church  were imprisoned while praying with the vision of Back To Jerusalem, and were sentenced to death in prison, God miraculously saved them to come to America and Germany, To continue the ministry of Back To Jerusalem. Finally, God sent Brother Win and Brother Sue to this church and gave us  the opportunity to join in prayer together. God  gave them this ministry to look after the day when the Lord Jesus Christ will establish the kingdom in Jerusalem and serve the Lord together with all the nations.
           Today, we must realize through the text message that it is time for us  to pray for the North Korean believers who have been suffering under the North Korean Communist Party for the past seventy years. They have been  keeping  their faith and pray in the midst of groaning. Apostle Paul testified about this when he wrote to the Hebrews.
” Remember them that are in bonds, as bound with them; and them which suffer adversity, as being yourselves also in the body.” (Hebrews 13: 3).
                 More than hundred years ago, God sent missionaries to the Korea ,and caused Pyongyang to be called the Jerusalem of Korea by bringing about a great revival in Pyongyang, but the churches of fallen from God worshiped the Japanese idolatry.  This event was  resulted in the tragedy of separating North and South through the Korean War. The old Israel served the idols of Babylon and reaped the history of their slavery for seventy years. The same judgment was done to Korea, as they sinned as Israel did long time ago.
           Recently, we have been worrying about whether or not South Korea could be occupied by the Communist Party of North Korea. . But God’s children, on the contrary, realize that the time has come for our brothers and sisters in North Korea to be saved. We have to pray for them to be delivered from the hand of Communist party of North Korea.. We have to remember that the Devil becomes more cruel as roaring lion looking for something to devour knowing himself to be destroyed sooner or later.  Christians in South Korea and Christians living scattered all over the world, as prophet Daniel, knowing that their people will be released when they are seventy years fulfilled, intercede for them in North Korea confessing our sins for forgiveness to God.   We must pray for our own people who are groaning in North Korea.
          In  near future, God will hear the prayers of the saints and all of us praying in China and North Korea, and will enjoy the grace of saving them. The purpose of salvation for the suffering children in the whole world is to fulfill the will of the Lord Jesus Christ, the Savior, to gather in His kingdom to come again on this earth to serve the Lord. Amen forever! Amen! Hallelujah!
