The title of the book: Jesus’ last prayer and eternal life
Jesus was prepared to fulfill the will of the Father and prayed for intercession for those who believed in him before he died on the cross for them.
The Lord said,” the hour is come, and he prayed to the Father saying glorify thy Son, that thy Son also may glorify thee. “
He said that the Father and the Son glorify each other through the death and resurrection of the Son to give eternal life over all flesh.
He also said, “This is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom , whom thou hast sent.” that people know the eternal life of Jesus Christ, the one and only Father, who is the true God, and the Father.”
In other words, those who receive eternal life shall know the Father God and the Son Jesus Christ through the Holy Spirit. It is also said that those who have received the Holy Spirit by believing in Jesus Christ shall know the Father and the Son through the Scriptures that the Holy Spirit has testified about the Father and the Son.
Natural man who has not received eternal life through the Holy Spirit shall not know who the Father God and Jesus Christ are, no matter how they read or hear the Bible. Apostle Paul, who received eternal life, testified of this:
” But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. (I Corinthians 2:14)
Jesus glorified the Father on the earth and said that He has finished the work which the Father gives him to do. He prayed for the work that the Father gave him, to glorify himself with the Father in the glory he had with the Father before he created this world.
The Apostle John testified in the Holy Spirit about Jesus who was with the Father before he created this world:
” In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
3All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.
4In him was life; and the life was the light of men.
5And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not. “(John 1: 1-5)
The work that was given to the Word Jesus, God the Son to glorify Himself the Father and the Word, gave to the Son of God to glorify Himself was to give eternal life in the Word, the Son of God the Son unto all men in the world living in the midst of sin and death and curses in the darkness. He also said that through his work the Father and the Son are glorified. In addition, God will be glorified through them who have received eternal life and become children of God, and sanctified by the word of truth to be holy as the Father and the Son.
In regard to the reason why God the Word who created the heaven had to be a man in the form of the Only Begotten Son of God in the world that was created good to see., and why the father and the Son should to renew all things including men; we are able to understand through the words of God.
Satan, the Cherubim that had been covering the throne of God before this world was created, was cast out of heaven by rebellion, and appeared in the earth created by God in the form of a serpent, causing the beautifully created man and all creatures and all things to die for sin. The Father and the Son of God wanted to be renew them all through the law of justice and to be fulfilled through Jesus Christ, the Son to be glorified.
The Bible tells us about Satan who sinned for the first time before this world was created:
” How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! howart thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!
13For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north:
14I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High.
15Yet thou shalt be brought down to hell, to the sides of the pit. “(Isaiah 14: 12-15)
That’s right! Not only did God cast out from heaven the old snakes Lucifer, Satan who was the first to sin through the rebellion in heaven, but he forever put him into the eternal bottomless pit inside the earth, And that the Father and the Son should be glorified through the restoration of the world without him forever.
Finally, God spoke to the serpent who brought sin to the Garden of Eden that is beautiful in the earth and brought death and curse to the first man, the earth, and all things therein:
” And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel. (Genesis 3:15)
By saying this, he made God’s chosen people as a woman of his own, and made Jesus Christ appear in the world as the seed of the woman, and planned to remove the sin, death, and curse of the whole world by bruising Satan’s head. Through this work, God the Father and Jesus Christ, whom He sent, wanted to be glorified. Through this work, he also planned to fully restore the people he created in his own image and likeness.
When God created all things on the earth for six days, He planned to restore it on God’s timetable of six thousand years as six days, just as He made man on the sixth day. He will sanctify the seventh day after God renews all things as he sanctified the seventh day when he created all things.
Apostle John testified about the words of Jesus Christ about this seventh day:
” And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful.
6And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely.
7He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son. “(Revelation 21: 5-7)
God waited for four thousand years before the appearance of Jesus Christ, the descendant of Abraham and the seed of David, chosen by him to fulfill the message of judgment declared to the ancient serpent. B.C. that is before Christ and A.D. that is after Christ, Anno Domini set by the world is not a matter of coincidence. During B.C. for four thousand years, the Holy Spirit recorded the things God did before the seed of the woman appeared in the world, and after that the two thousand years A.D. Jesus, who appeared as the seed of the woman, gave life to the world of sin through his death and resurrection, The Holy Spirit also wrote about Satan’s casting into his deepest bottomless pit unto judgments, bruising his head, and renewing all thing without him forever.
In order to make men realize that the whole world is born in sin and living in the curse, this world has been under the power of Satan that are the Principality and the Power and the rulers of darkness and the evil spirit in high places. so that they may seek the Lord God
God chose Abraham for Jesus Christ to be born, who came as the seed of woman. God gave his grandson Jacob a new name, Israel, and made his twelve sons an Israelite. He chose the tribe of Judah and sent his only begotten Son Jesus Christ as the seed of woman in the tribe of Judah. God sent the descendants of Jacob to Egypt and through Pharaoh the servant of Satan for four hundred years they had a harsh discipline. When they cried out seeking to God, God sent Moses and saved them.
And through making them wander in the wilderness without water or food, they have learned that men can live by bread alone, but by all the words that come from the mouth of God’. God the Lord wanted them not to look forward the world , but to hope for God to renew the all things in the world through giving the life eternal.
Also, God revealed himself as the forgiver whenever they cried out repenting to God in the midst of judgment unto them following the Devil worshipping Baal instead of God in the land of promise.. Finally, when they set up man as king instead of God, and kings, priests, and all the people left God as one to serve Baal, they were given as the slaves for seventy years in the hands of Babylon. God also taught them how evil sinners they were by placing them under the power of Assyria, Persia, Greece, and the Roman Empire, and letting them know how evil this world is.
Finally, Jesus Christ, who appeared to the world, and revealed to the world that he was the resurrection and life, , and the seed of the woman God had spoke four thousand years ago by raising Lazarus four days after his death. Finally he proclaimed saying, “He that believeth in me, should he were dead, and yet shall he live; and whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die.” And he asked Martha, Believe you this?
Finally, Jesus Christ died to take away the sin of the world in order to accomplish the work of God the Father and to glorify the Father, and was resurrected on the third day.
Through today’s text, Jesus Christ said that anyone who believes in himself and receives eternal life is able to know what the Heavenly Father and himself have accomplished through the Holy Spirit for the past six thousand years. Amen! Hallelujah!
