Meditations on this week: Psalm 96: 1-13
Text: Psalm 85: 1-13
The title of the Word: Millennial kingdom of truth spring out of the earth, and righteousness looking down from heaven
From the time when the first man sinned against God, the curse has been rising on the earth for the last 6,000 years. The Lord God said to Adam:
“Because thou hast hearkened unto the voice of thy wife, and hast eaten of the tree, of which I commanded thee, saying, Thou shalt not eat of it: cursed is the ground for thy sake; in sorrow shalt thou eat of it all the days of thy life;
18Thorns also and thistles shall it bring forth to thee; and thou shalt eat the herb of the field;“(Genesis 3: 17-19)
But when the new age comes, the earth prophesies that the earth will no longer produce thorns and thistles, but truth shall spring out of the earth, and at this time, the Lord will give good to eat, and give increase of it:
“ Truth shall spring out of the earth; and righteousness shall look down from heaven.
12Yea, the LORD shall give that which is good; and our land shall yield her increase.
13Righteousness shall go before him; and shall set us in the way of his steps. ” Psalm 85: 11-13)
The Holy Spirit speaks through the writer of the psalm about when the happy hour will come. In the coming days the Israelites will confess their sins and will be on the day when all their iniquities will be forgiven, and the Lord God will bring them into the land which God promised unto Abraham. In that day the remnant of Israel shall be in the kingdom of the Lord Jesus Christ. The prophet Isaiah prophesied the repentance of the remnant of Israel:
“Thou meetest him that rejoiceth and worketh righteousness, those that remember thee in thy ways: behold, thou art wroth; for we have sinned: in those is continuance, and we shall be saved.
6But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses areas filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away.
7And there is none that calleth upon thy name, that stirreth up himself to take hold of thee: for thou hast hid thy face from us, and hast consumed us, because of our iniquities.“(Isaiah 64: 5-7)
The Bible also speaks of prayer of repentance to God after they return to the promised land:
“Turn us, O God of our salvation, and cause thine anger toward us to cease.
5Wilt thou be angry with us for ever? wilt thou draw out thine anger to all generations?
6Wilt thou not revive us again: that thy people may rejoice in thee?
7Shew us thy mercy, O LORD, and grant us thy salvation. “(Psalm 85: 4-7).
God speaks of not only the remnant of the Jews, but also the children of God who believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, the last Adam, who took away the sin of the world. They shall see truth spring out of the earth that had been under curse and the righteous w looking down from heaven in the kingdom of Christ. The Bible also speaks of the hope of glory that they will receive:
“The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:
17And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together. “(Romans 8:16-17)
In addition, for the last six thousand years, we also bear witness to the desires of all the creatures that are in bondage to death, suffering in pain, eating the cursed products of the cursed ground from thorns and thistles. They are also saying that they are persevering by looking at the time when truth springs out of the earth and the righteousness looks down from heaven:
” For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.
19For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God.
20For the creature was made subject to vanity, not willingly, but by reason of him who hath subjected the same in hope,
21Because the creature itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God.
22For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now.
23And not only they, but ourselves also, which have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body.“(Romans 8: 18-23)
Looking forward to this happy day, Apostle Peter wrote a letter of encouragement to the children of God who were chosen sprinkled by the blood of Jesus Christ:
“But the end of all things is at hand: be ye therefore sober, and watch unto prayer.
8And above all things have fervent charity among yourselves: for charity shall cover the multitude of sins.
10As every man hath received the gift, even so minister the same one to another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God.
11If any man speak, let him speak as the oracles of God; if any man minister, let him do it as of the ability which God giveth: that God in all things may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom be praise and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.“( 1 Peter 4: 7-11)
But while waiting for a thousand years as one day, expecting repentance, witnessing the message of warning to the people of the world who do not believe in long-suffering God, he encouraged the Saints who were waiting for that day, of what kind of life they were supposed to have in the last days:
“But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.
11Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner ofpersons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness,
12Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?
13Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.
14Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of him in peace, without spot, and blameless.“(2 Peter 3: 10-14)
Apostle Peter testified of the new heavens and new earth looking forward the day of judgment of all nations with fire at the end of the millennial kingdom of Jesus Christ:
Also, the resurrected Jesus appeared to John Apostle and spoke of this day:
” And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful.
6And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely.
7He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.
8But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death. ” (Revelation 21: 5-8)
