Meditation of the Week: Psalm 91:1-16

Text: Song of Solomon 3:6-11

Sermon Title: The Lord Jesus Christ coming to Judge the world at the end of the Great Tribulation revealed in the Song of Solomon

         Jesus told the Jews that the Bible is speaking of Him (John 5:39). After His Resurrection, He appeared to His disciples and said, ” These are the words which I spake unto you, while I was yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled, which were written in the law of Moses, and in the prophets, and in the psalms, concerning me.” (Luke 24:44).

hat’s right! We must be able to see the figure of the Lord Jesus Christ in the words given to us today and also in the testimony of Solomon, the type of Christ to come. The books, chapters, and verses in all the scriptures are like scattered puzzles. Unless we understand the whole Bible and put all the puzzles together in right places, we cannot know who Jesus Christ is, and what He has done, and what He will accomplish in the future. There are several puzzles in the six verses in the song of Solomon given today. Only then can we know in detail about Jesus Christ who appears in today’s text. When all the puzzles appearing throughout the Bible are put together, there is a picture that appears. “Kingdom of the Lord Jesus Christ“.

        Then we can discover the majestic appearance of the Lord Jesus Christ, who appears by connecting the puzzles about Jesus Christ in the words of this week with other Bible verses, returning to judge all peoples who do not believe in Him at the end of the great tribulation.

       He will come as  pillars of smoke when He returns. The prophet Joel prophesied and testified concerning the pillar s of smoke:

”   And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions:

29 And also upon the servants and upon the handmaids in those days will I pour out my spirit.

30 And I will shew wonders in the heavens and in the earth, blood, and fire, and pillars of smoke.

31 The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and the terrible day of the LORD come.

32 And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the LORD shall be delivered: for in mount Zion and in Jerusalem shall be deliverance, as the LORD hath said, and in the remnant whom the LORD shall call.” (Joel 2:28-32).

         What the prophet Joel prophesied is that the Lord Jesus Christ, who will appear at the end of the Great Era, will pour out His Spirit on all the male and female servants among the remnant of the Jews to save the remnant of Israel who repent, so that they may call on the name of the Lord. It is the prophecy of salvation. This prophecy is not about the church of God. This is because the church of God  has been raptured and ascend to heaven before the great tribulation.  Then the signs on the earth shall be blood and fire and pillars of smoke. The blood is the blood of the nations that are being slain by the judgment, and the fire is the fire of judgment, and in the midst of the judgment that the Lord executes, he said that great pillars of smoke would appear all over the earth.

         When Jesus spoke of events that would occur in the Great Tribulation, he said the same thing he had foretold through the prophet Joel:

“Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:

30 And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.” (Matthew 24:29-30).

         On the day of Pentecost when the Holy GHost came, the Apostle Peter also preached quoting the prophecy of the prophet Joel. On that day, when those who had received the Holy Ghost spoke in the tongues for the Jews from the various provinces. Upon hearing someone mocked  them saying that they are drunken with new wine. Peter said to them

” For these are not drunken, as ye suppose, seeing it is but the third hour of the day.

16 But this is that which was spoken by the prophet Joel; 17 And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams:

18 And on my servants and on my handmaidens I will pour out in those days of my Spirit; and they shall prophesy: 19 And I will shew wonders in heaven above, and signs in the earth beneath; blood, and fire, and vapour of smoke:

20 The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before that great and notable day of the Lord come: 21 And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved.  ” (Acts 2:15-21)

          It is also said that the coming Jesus Christ will come from the wilderness, scented with myrrh and frankincense and all the spices of the merchants. The Lord Jesus Christ will stand at the Mount of Olives flying through the wilderness from Mount Sinai, where the Israelites were given the Law.

         When Jesus was born, who came  to die to take away the sin of the world, wise men from the East offered him gold, frankincense, and myrrh (Matthew 2:11).

        Gold testifies that Jesus  is God, the frankincense testified that he would become the High Priest after his resurrection, and the myrrh in Solomon’s Song is unedible and bitter, and Jesus made a bitterly bitter cup for all the people of the world in the Garden of Gethsemane. It testifies that Jesus will receive myrrh on the cross after drinking the cup of myrrh. On the other hand, myrrh is bitter, but just as it tastes sweet inside when the myrrh branch is cut, so it testifies that sinners will receive the Holy Ghost when they repent of bitter sins and receive Jesus Christ and receive eternal life that is sweet.

        It also speaks of Solomon’s bed, escorted by sixty warriors. Solomon was with the Shulamite woman on his own bed. It was a bed that no evil could invade. This bed is the bed on which the Lord Jesus Christ is with his Bride. The enemy devil is also giving a bed to the Antichrist under his control, and is bringing in a lot of people to make them his bride to send thm to hell. The bride of Christ is the Church of God, and the bride of the Antichrist is the Roman Catholic Church, the Babylonian Church established by Satan. The Bible speaks of the bed of the Antichrist:

“For at the window of my house I looked through my casement,

7 And beheld among the simple ones, I discerned among the youths, a young man void of understanding,

8 Passing through the street near her corner; and he went the way to her house,

9 In the twilight, in the evening, in the black and dark night:

10 And, behold, there met him a woman with the attire of an harlot, and subtil of heart.

11 (She is loud and stubborn; her feet abide not in her house:

12 Now is she without, now in the streets, and lieth in wait at every corner.)

13 So she caught him, and kissed him, and with an impudent face said unto him,

14 I have peace offerings with me; this day have I payed my vows.

15 Therefore came I forth to meet thee, diligently to seek thy face, and I have found thee.

16 I have decked my bed with coverings of tapestry, with carved works, with fine linen of Egypt.

I have perfumed my bed with myrrh, aloes, and cinnamon.

18 Come, let us take our fill of love until the morning: let us solace ourselves with loves.

19 For the goodman is not at home, he is gone a long journey: ” (Proverbs 7:6-19).

     The Antichrist, a whore, also disguising as Christ, looking out through her window. Solomon the figure of Christ also says, ” behold, he standeth behind our wall, he looketh forth at the windows, shewing himself through the lattice. (Sol 2:9). This whore is the church of the prostitute who will become Babylon the Great. The king of the whore church is Pope.  Whenever the Pope visits countries, the first thing he does is kissing the ground. He is dragging them all into his bed and going to hell. .But they can only deceive people until morning when Jesus Christ rise as the Sun of righteousness.

          It is said that the warriors guarding the bed of Christ are guarding them with swords on their thighs. The Bible tells us who these warriors are:

“The angel of the LORD encampeth round about them that fear him, and delivereth them.” (Psalm 34:7).

         It is said that He made the pillars thereof of silver, the bottom thereof of gold, the covering of it of purple, the midst thereof being paved with love, for the daughters of Jerusalem. (Sol 3:10). These daughters of Jerusalem are referring to the restored people of Israel. It is testifying that the Lord Jesus Christ, the King of Kings and Lord of Lords, will no longer ride on a colt but will come in glory for the remnant of the Jews who believe in him. The remnant of the Jews, daughters of Zion, will meet their King, the Lord Jesus Christ, who comes more gloriously than Solomon.
