Devotional of the Week: Psalm 91:1-16

Text: Genesis 2:1-3

Title: God fulfills the dispensation of the fulness of time with seven numbers (seventh day, week, month, year, and thousand years)

      God rested on the seventh day after He created all things and man. We can see that God created a system by His number seven and has been working from the time of creation until He rests on the seventh day after the past six thousand years. Of course, only those who study the Bible closely can grasp this mystical truth. The Apostle Paul testified of this mysterious plan of God as a timely dispensation:

“Having made known unto us the mystery of his will, according to his good pleasure which he hath purposed in himself:¹⁰ That in the dispensation of the fulness of times he might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth; even in him:” (Ephesians 1:9-10)

       Even when God created man, He hid the seven numbers in His creation. The piano as we know it has seven notes. The eighth note is just the note at the beginning of an octave. Also, if you go to the colors, you will see that there are seven colors that all painters use. Red, yellow, blue, orange, green, purple, and black.

       In addition, the seven numbers are represented in man who was created in the image and likeness of God.

The cells of the human body are changing every seven years. In addition, every person is born with seven members. There are  head, eyes, nose, ears, mouth, hands, and feet. All of these laws of nature are scientific and immutable laws that no one can change. All these laws of nature were established by God. In this way, God works in seven.

       Now, let’s search the words of God. In the last book of the Bible, there are seven vials, seven trumpets, seven angels, and seven characters. We also know that this last book has seven seals and that God always works with seven. For example, in the Old Testament, the Lord made the earth for six evenings and six days and rested on the seventh day. God also said to the Jews under the Old Testament Law (not unto the seventh Day Adventists), “You must rest on the seventh day.  In the Old Testament, Ezekiel  20 says that the seventh day, or Sabbath, is an eternal sign between the Lord and Israel (not the Sabbath Day Adventist) so that the Israelites may know that it is the Lord God who sanctifies them. Because Adventists do not study the Scriptures dividing rightly, they mistakenly believe that the commandments given to Israel have been given to them. The Apostle Paul testified to those who make this mistake:

“Give none offence, neither to the Jews, nor to the Gentiles, nor to the church of God:”( 1 Corinthians 10:32)

God told the children of Israel (not us Gentiles) to rest on the seventh day and keep it holy.

         However, the Bible says that Christians met on the first day, the day of the commemoration of Christ’s resurrection, not the seventh day (Acts 20). The Lord resurrected  on the first day of the week (Matthew 28),  and the Holy Spirit descended on the day of Pentecost, which is the first day according  to Acts 2.This is why Christians observe the first day of the week. It is to meet on the first day of the week, not on Sunday.

       Furthermore, God says in Leviticus 23:23-44-, “  You must work for six months. Then the seventh month will be a special month. The seventh month is so important that you must observe three feasts. You must observe the Feast of Tabernacles, the Feast of Trumpets, and the Day of Atonement in the seventh month.“He said. In this way, God  works on the basis of seven days, seven weeks, and seven months. This is an immutable law that no scientist can change.

       God did not stop there, but went further and said to the Jews, “Work ye for six years. But the seventh year will be a special one. For the seventh year shall be a sabbatical year unto the Lord.”( Leviticus 25:1-10) Regarding the Sabbath year, God said to the Jews, “Cultivate for six years, and let the earth rest for the seventh year. The seventh year shall be a sabbatical, and the earth shall rest.”He said. Today, the whole world is struggling with food problems because all nations have not kept this sabbatical that God has ordained, and the earth has become a mess because of the lack of rest. The earth has been depleted of its power. Moreover, the application of chemical fertilizers has further degraded the land.

       Whatever God does, He works on the basis of seven. In the Old Testament, God said, “I swear by myself.”He said. The word to swear in these words is Hebrew, “it means “to do seven“. In other words, to swear is to place myself under the seven principles. God always counts as seven.  “Thou shalt count seven times each of the seven years. That would be 49 years. In the fiftieth year, blow the trumpet and proclaim the year of rejoicing. And proclaim liberty throughout all the land.”(Lev. 25:10) He said.

       The Bible says, “Whoever committeth sin is the servant  of sin.”(John 8:34).  But it says that it is only Christ Jesus who can set the slave of sin free. “If the Son therefore make you free, ye shall be free indeed“(John 8:36) No man can free from sin those who have become slaves to sin. Even if you sacrifice your life thousands of times, you cannot make any one free/” Because no one can be free unless the Son of God set him free.

      Now let’s talk about the seventh millennium! The Bible says in 2 Peter 3:8:

“ But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.”.  Psalm 90:4 says, ” For a thousand years in thy sight are but as yesterday when it is past, and as a watch in the night..”

God’s law is 1,2,3,4,5,6 and rest.  So, if a day is like a thousand years and a thousand years are like a day, then the earth shall be on the earth for 6,000 years,  and the seventh millennium shall be a period of rest. According to biblical principles, this is the way it should be.

       In Revelation chapter 20, we read, “And they bound him  for a thousand years… He did not allow them to deceive the nations again until the thousand years were up…And I saw souls that were beheaded because of the testimony of Jesus, and for the word of God, and they not worshipped the beast or the image, nor did they receive his mark upon their foreheads, nor on their hands. Therefore they lived, and  reigned with Christ for a thousand years…The rest of the dead  shall  not live again until the end of the thousand years….They shall be priests of God and of Christ, and  shall  reign with him for  a thousand years. At the  end of that thousand years…”

In other words, the word “thousand years” is repeated six times.

        The Apostle Paul testified of the seventh day:

“ For he spake in a certain place of the seventh day on this wise, And God did rest the seventh day from all his works.⁵ And in this place again, If they shall enter into my rest.⁶ Seeing therefore it remaineth that some must enter therein, and they to whom it was first preached entered not in because of unbelief:⁷ Again, he limiteth a certain day, saying in David, To day, after so long a time; as it is said, To day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts.⁸ For if Jesus had given them rest, then would he not afterward have spoken of another day.⁹ There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God.”( Hebrews  4:4-9)

       After the sixth that is seventh days, Jesus showed a vision to his disciples in which He would rest and reign in the thousand-year kingdom on the next seven thousand’s years:

“ And after six days Jesus taketh Peter, James, and John his brother, and bringeth them up into an high mountain apart, ² And was transfigured before them: and his face did shine as the sun, and his raiment was white as the light.³ And, behold, there appeared unto them Moses and Elias talking with him.”(Matt. 17:1-3)

       Before Jesus returns to establish His Millennial Kingdom, before the Great Tribulation, the Lord will appear to take His bride, the Church, to the heavenly city. Then there shall be seven years  of great tribulation in the world. Now, most scientists are warning that the earth is running out of life, saying that it is like a terminally ill cancer patient. Recently, the United Nations  announced that in the next seven years, the earth could cease to exist. A hundred years ago, when preachers said that the end of the world was coming, scientists would scoff, but now scientists warn that the end of the world will come soon, but we see preachers and most Christians ridiculing and ridiculing the coming of the Lord, as the people in Noah’s day, preoccupied with eating, drinking, marrying.

       God, who rested on the seventh day after the creation of all things, could not rest again after the devil brought sin and death  to the earth, but in order to judge Satan the Devil for the past 6,000 years, He took away the sin of the world that He brought to save sinners, appeared as a man named Jesus, became Christ, died for the sins of the men of the world, was buried, and was resurrected on the third day. He will come again and bind Satan the Devil and imprison him in an endless deep pit for a thousand years, reigning for a thousand years, and resting in the seventh millennium. A thousand years later, the Devil after being cast into the lake of fire, He will make a new heaven, a new earth, and the city of New Jerusalem, and restore the Garden of Eden in the city of Jerusalem, where He will be glorified forever and ever: “And he shewed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb.² In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bare twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.” (Revelation 22:1-2) Amen! Hallelujah!
