너를 축복하는 자들에게 내가 복을 주고 너를 저주하는 자를 저주하리라.
네 안에서 땅의 모든 족속들이 복을 받을 것이라." 하셨더라. (창 12:3)

Meditation of the week: Psalms 91:1-16
Text: Psalm 1:1-6
Title: The Lord Jesus Christ, the Most Blessed One
In the first week of the new year, by realizing the mysterious words contained in the words about the blessed man in the first chapter of the psalms, we shall have a greater understanding of the mystery of the gospel contained in the psalms and learn more about the Lord Jesus Christ who saved us.
After Jesus’ resurrection, from what he said unto his disciples, we are able to learn the gospel in the psalms:
” And he said unto them, These are the words which I spake unto you, while I was yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled, which were written in the law of Moses, and in the prophets, and in the psalms, concerning me. 45Then opened he their understanding, that they might understand the scriptures, 46And said unto them, Thus it is written, and thus it behoved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day: 47And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem. 48And ye are witnesses of these things.” (Luke 24:44-48).
We need to ponder the written  order of the scriptures to get a deeper understanding of who is blessed man. Chronicles is a book that records how the Israelites were scattered as captives in Babylon due to their sins. The book of Ezra records the reunion of the scattered people, and the book of Nehemiah  the reconstruction of the city that had collapsed. In the book of Esther, Esther, a Gentile woman, married and held the wedding feast for seven days. In the book of Job, the time of Jacob’s trouble is revealed, when the Israelites suffered for seven years on the earth. Finally, in the psalms, the Lord Jesus Christ is revealed as the blessed man who judges the world and  establish his kingdom.
We can also see that there have been a series of events in the past related to Israel. Jerusalem was devastated by General Titus in AD 70 (as in 2 Chronicles), and from that time on, the Jews were scattered around the world and wandered in the world. Eventually, the Jews returned to their homeland in Palestine by the Declaration of Belfour proclaimed in 1918 (as in Ezra), and in 1948 they built their country (as in Nehemiah).
Sooner or later, the Gentile church shall be lifted up to heaven in the day of Christ(Rapture) to have the marriage supper of the Lamb for seven years as Esther(Rev. 19:9). And in the earth, the Jews shall be persecuted by the Antichrist for seven years as Job(Rev. 12:13). At the end of the Great Tribulation, the Lord Jesus Christ the most blessed shall appear as the King of Kings and Lord of Lords. He will judge the world and guide the remnant of Israel to Petra to feed them for 1260 days, and let them enter the his Millennial Kingdom(Rev. 12:14).
In the Hebrew Scriptures,  Psalms are followed after Malachi. Malachi prophesies the words of the Second Advent of Jesus Christ and the judgment of God. We can also see another mysterious revelation in which Psalms are followed after Job. Forty second chapter of Job  is a typological example of how God double blesses the Jews who repent after severe sufferings for 42 months (the latter three and a half years) during the Great Tribulation in the period of Jacob’s Trouble  in the future, bringing them into the Millennial Kingdom of Christ. In Job chapter 42, Job finally repents before God who appears before him. We shall see the Jews repent after seeing Jesus appearing at the end of the Great Tribulation:
” I have heard of thee by the hearing of the ear: but now mine eye seeth thee.
6Wherefore I abhor myself, and repent in dust and ashes.” (Job 42:5-6).
Prophet Zechariah also prophesies about this scene. He also prophesied about the nationwide salvation of the Israelites when they repent:
” And I will pour upon the house of David, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace and of supplications: and they shall look upon me whom they have pierced, and they shall mourn for him, as one mourneth for his only son, and shall be in bitterness for him, as one that is in bitterness for his firstborn.…. In that day there shall be a fountain opened to the house of David and to the inhabitants of Jerusalem for sin and for uncleanness.” (Zec 12 :10; 13:1)
Apostle Paul also testified of the mystery of the repentance and salvation of all Israel when the mosy blessed Lord Jesus Christ appears:
“For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in.
26And so all Israel shall be saved: as it is written, There shall come out of Sion the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob:
27For this is my covenant unto them, when I shall take away their sins.” (Romans 11:25-27).
Therefore, the blessed man who appears in the first chapter of the Psalms speaks as a type of the Lord Jesus Christ, who appears to the world after the Great Tribulation in the future. The Bible says that God blessed Jesus the most:
“For thou hast made him most blessed for ever: thou hast made him exceeding glad with thy countenance.” (Psalm 21:6).
That’s right! Since Jesus was conceived by the Holy Spirit and was born as the only man without sin. he is the very one that received the most blessing among all people. In addition, the Lord is a blessed one that is to marry with the children of God regenerated by the Holy Spirit by faith in Him.
God chose Abraham to make blessed people through the Lord Jesus Christ, and gave him the word of promise about them who shall be blessed in the future. Apostle Paul testified of them who shall be  blessed one:
“Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree: 14That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith. 15Brethren, I speak after the manner of men; Though it be but a man’s covenant, yet if it be confirmed, no man disannulleth, or addeth thereto.” (Gal. 3:13-15).
That’s right! Those who believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, who received the most blessings from the Father, and receive the Holy Spirit shall be blessed through Him. Those who believe in Him are saved by grace (Ephesians 2:7-8), marry Him, and become joint heirs with Him (Rom. 8:17).
Therefore, those who have been reborn by the Holy Spirit and become blessed ones do not follow the counsel of the ungodly who is deceived by Satan, and because of this they shall not sin and  not sssit in the seat of the scornful who are mocking  the second coming in the end time. The bless one likes to read and listen the words of God during the day time, and meditate them in the night. The Bible testifies of them:
“Neither have I gone back from the commandment of his lips; I have esteemed the words of his mouth more than my necessary food.… Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.…. I rejoice at thy word, as one that findeth great spoil. ” (Job 23:12, Psalm 119:105,162).
The blessed one, like a tree planted by a river, bears fruit according to the seasons, and his leaves do not dry out and prosper in whatever he does. He  overcomes Satan’s temptations and do not commit sins, so that he shall not be accused by the devil and prosper in the Lord. Also, the Bible speaks of the prosperity of the blessed one through  prophet Jeremiah:
” Blessed is the man that trusteth in the LORD, and whose hope the LORD is. 8For he shall be as a tree planted by the waters, and that spreadeth out her roots by the river, and shall not see when heat cometh, but her leaf shall be green; and shall not be careful in the year of drought, neither shall cease from yielding fruit.” (Jeremiah 17:7-8)
Amen! Hallelujah!
