Word Title: When Is The Morning According To The Scriptures?
King David finally praised the Lord God, who exalted him. The LORD God prevented his enemies from rejoicing over their victory. The LORD God healed him every time he cried to the Lord God, and he praised the LORD God. And he praised the LORD God who made not his soul enter into the dark grave to make him alive. In addition, he confessed that the LORD God made his soul not to go down into the pit that is the hell even when he dies.
He confessed many times about the suffering he had received in his prayer:
” (To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David.) How long wilt thou forget me, O LORD? for ever? how long wilt thou hide thy face from me?
2How long shall I take counsel in my soul, having sorrow in my heart daily? how long shall mine enemy be exalted over me?
3Consider and hear me, O LORD my God: lighten mine eyes, lest I sleep the sleep of death;
4Lest mine enemy say, I have prevailed against him; and those that trouble me rejoice when I am moved.
5But I have trusted in thy mercy; my heart shall rejoice in thy salvation.
6I will sing unto the LORD, because he hath dealt bountifully with me.“(13: 1-6)
God allowed King David to suffer to show the suffering that Jesus would receive in the future, so that he could testify in advance in his prayer of the suffering that Jesus would take in the future. For example, Psalm 22 and 69 are the words of the prophecy that the Holy Spirit prophesy through David’s mouth about the suffering Jesus would receive on the cross. King David was able to rejoice in his trust in God’s mercy even in the midst of the great suffering he had received, and finally to praise the Lord God who will deal with him bountifully.
Apostle Paul testified of the sufferings and shame that the Lord Jesus received as a prophesied through King David:
” Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,
2Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God. “(Hebrews 12: 1-2)
The Lord Jesus Christ saw the joy of the Father after suffering like the king David, and suffered in the shame for six hours while he was naked on both hands and on both feet, and died, and resurrected on the third day Through overcoming sin and death ,he overcame the power of the devil who killed him, and who ruled the world with the power of death for the past four thousand years and drove all men into the fear of death, He looked patiently in the day of salvation.
Apostle Paul testified of the suffering and glory of the Lord Jesus Christ as he wrote to the saints in Philippi:
” Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God:
7But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:
8And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.
9Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name:
10That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;
11And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. “(Philippians 2: 6-11).
Therefore, Christians who have been saved, believed in Him, suffer with the Lord Jesus Christ who saved and transferred from death to life, having the thoughts in Christ, and yet rejoice in the afflictions of this world, We must rejoice looking forward the day when the Sun of righteousness, Jesus rise again.
King David witnessed how he could rejoice in his affliction:
” For his anger endureth but a moment; in his favour is life: weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.” (Psalm 30: 5)
He testified that the world in which he lives is a spiritual night. The earth became the night after the first man Adam had sinned and the light that shone on the earth, as the sun had been removed. The world that has become night is the world in which the power of the devil dominates people with sin and death. He lived in the evil world persecuting the people of God. Therefore He testified saying, “Weeping endure for a night” And he also said, “The joy cometh in the morning.” In other word, when the Lord, the Sun of righteousness appear again on earth as the sun rise in the morning, he will judge the world in the darkness. Then he shall have true joy again with Lord.
The last prophet Malachi witnessed beforehand the time when the Lord Jesus Christ, the sun of righteousness, would come to the world again:
” For, behold, the day cometh, that shall burn as an oven; and all the proud, yea, and all that do wickedly, shall be stubble: and the day that cometh shall burn them up, saith the LORD of hosts, that it shall leave them neither root nor branch.
2But unto you that fear my name shall the Sun of righteousness arise with healing in his wings; and ye shall go forth, and grow up as calves of the stall.
3And ye shall tread down the wicked; for they shall be ashes under the soles of your feet in the day that I shall do this, saith the LORD of hosts. “(Mal 4: 1-3)
The Apostle John testified of Jesus, who appeared on earth as the Son of man, to be the light that gives life:
” In him was life; and the life was the light of men.
5And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.” (John 1: 4-5)
He also testified that if we do not believe in Him who is the light of life, we will still be condemned because we cannot receive life and live in darkness:
“And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.“(John 3:19)
Jesus, who appeared to the world in the form of God, said to his disciples that He is the God who shines the light of life in a dark world in sin and death:
” I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.” (John 8:12)
But most of the people at that time did not accept Jesus, the true light of life, but rather persecuted and killed him. He died for their sins, and after he resurrected, he sent the Holy Spirit to all the Gentiles living in the whole world, not only the Jews. He was pleased to see that the gospel of Christ shall be preached.
The world was again night after the sun of righteousness died to take away the sin of the world and rose again, and lifted to heaven leaving the world. Since then the world has become the night again in darkness after the true light disappeared. But the Lord wants to shine the light in the world through Christians living on this earth. Before he left, the Lord said, His disciples are the light in the world. Christians who have received the light of life, as if the moon lit the night by receiving the sunlight at night, should shine the light of life by preaching the gospel of Christ.
Apostle Paul testified of the world as the night after the Lord Jesus Christ, the sun of righteousness left the world
” And that, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed.
12The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armour of light.
13Let us walk honestly, as in the day; not in rioting and drunkenness, not in chambering and wantonness, not in strife and envying. ” (Romans 13: 11-13)
David was glad looking forward the day when the Lord, the Sun of righteousness come again when weeping endured all night in the midst of afflictions. And when he was in prosperity, he said, he shall never be moved..
Every time God’s children receive persecution (2 Tim. 3:12) in the dark sinful world living in godliness, they must rejoice looking forward the coming of the Lord Jesus Christ. Sometimes, however, on a prosperous day, we should be more careful and not move our faith. We also have to give thanks to the Lord who is turning for us our mourning into dancing, and putting off our sackcloth, and gird us with gladness as King David did.. Amen! Hallelujah!
