The Meditation of the Week: Psalm 122:1-9

Text: Zechariah 12:1-14

Word Title: Why  Jerusalem, the city of peace has become the city of terror?

       On May 14, 2018, the US Embassy in Israel was moved from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem as scheduled for the 70th anniversary of Israeli independence. More than 60 people were killed by Israeli suppressors during the violent demonstrations by the Palestinians at the celebration of the day. So far, Jerusalem has had no day to rest in peace for almost a day, and why it has been focused on by the whole world.

        Why according to the prophecy which is spoken through the prophet Zechariah, cause men to besiege Judah and Jerusalem, and why Jerusalem will become a trembling cup and become a burdensome stone, so that all the people of the world shall be cut in pieces even though they  gather together against  it, We must realize His will in the Word of God, why such thing shall be happening.

         Iran is constantly threatening  Israel to remove it from the earth. But one day, as  Jeremiah, the prophet, said that Iran would be destroyed when it attacks Israel:

” Thus saith the LORD of hosts; Behold, I will break the bow of Elam, the chief of their might.

36And upon Elam will I bring the four winds from the four quarters of heaven, and will scatter them toward all those winds; and there shall be no nation whither the outcasts of Elam shall not come.

37For I will cause Elam to be dismayed before their enemies, and before them that seek their life: and I will bring evil upon them, even my fierce anger, saith the LORD; and I will send the sword after them, till I have consumed them:

38And I will set my throne in Elam, and will destroy from thence the king and the princes, saith the LORD. “(Jer 49: 35-38)

       So far, Jerusalem has been occupied by many nations and has been fighting to occupy a small land that is not too big, and when the British  occupied the land, the Jews that had been scattered to the ends of the earth through the Belfour  Declaration finally returned to Palestine and in 1948,  they finally declared independence. Even rafter thousands of years, they were still able to maintain their name of Israel. We understand this by looking at God’s promises in the Word of God. The Word of God foretold in advance through the prophet Amos that the Jews shall return to the land of Palestine in, the land of Canaan, that is  the promised land. It was indeed the word of God, that was sealed by the LORD God, King of Kings and Lord of Lords:

” And I will plant them upon their land, and they shall no more be pulled up out of their land which I have given them, saith the LORD thy God.” (Amos 9:15)

         God has promised them  to return to the promised land that was given to their father Abraham four thousand years ago, to occupy the land forever and ever. God said to Abraham:

” In the same day the LORD made a covenant with Abram, saying, Unto thy seed have I given this land, from the river of Egypt unto the great river, the river Euphrates:

19The Kenites, and the Kenizzites, and the Kadmonites,

20And the Hittites, and the Perizzites, and the Rephaims,

21And the Amorites, and the Canaanites, and the Girgashites, and the Jebusites.  “(Genesis 15: 18-21)

         God promised Abraham, who came from the land of Babylon where he lived, to obey His word and give to his descendants Israel the land of Palestine where other nations had lived. But he promised them  to take the land and give it to the nation of Israel from the nations that were already living there.

         We have to understand the will of God, why God of justice made and planned an unfair plan in  thought for man. And  why God should choose Israel, a small nation of Abraham’s descendants, and give them all the land of Palestine from the Euphrates to the Egyptian river? Otherwise, Israel is not justified, and we are  in favor of giving Palestinians the land of Palestine,  including Jerusalem.

          God made a beautiful garden on the east side of Eden so that the first man could live on the earth. The Bible tells us where the land is:

” And a river went out of Eden to water the garden; and from thence it was parted, and became into four heads.

11The name of the first is Pison: that is it which compasseth the whole land of Havilah, where there is gold;

12And the gold of that land is good: there is bdellium and the onyx stone.

13And the name of the second river is Gihon: the same is it that compasseth the whole land of Ethiopia.

14And the name of the third river is Hiddekel: that is it which goeth toward the east of Assyria. And the fourth river is Euphrates. “Genesis 2: 10-14)

          But the first man, Adam, lost the beautiful garden God giving to the serpent, the devil. Since then, the whole earth has become the  slave under the dominion of Satan the Devil who brought sin, death, and curse. But God has planned to give the land back to the people of God, for  he is not the one who absolutely creates in vain what he has created. So he spoke clearly through the prophet Isaiah that he was not the one who created it in vain:

” For thus saith the LORD that created the heavens; God himself that formed the earth and made it; he hath established it, he created it not in vain, he formed it to be inhabited: I am the LORD; and there is none else. ” (Isa. 45:18)

           God promised Abraham  to choose the people he chose to dwell in the Garden of Eden he had created, so that the people of Israel could take possession of it. The Garden of Eden that God created for the first man is the land of Palestine today. It is a half moon area, to the north, to the Euphrates, to the south, to the Nile.

            If God does not remove the sin of the first man and the death and curse  in order to keep the law of righteousness of God,  he cannot cast out the devil out of the Garden of Eden, He must have become a lamb of God  becoming a man and takes away the sin of the world. Abraham, the father of the Jews, was chosen by God for him  to be a man. So, with a fleshly descendant, God was born into this world in the name of Jesus, and by eliminating the sin by eliminating all sins of the world, by removing the curse by dying on the cross of the wood, and by resurrection he  has eliminated death.

            Therefore, Jesus, who appeared in the form of Adam, overcame all the temptations of the serpent that Adam had failed, and by his victory he would come back again to the earth as the King of Kings and Lord of Lords, and he drive out the old serpent and he will establish his throne in Jerusalem.. And the remnant of the Jews who repent of the slaughter of Him, to serve Him forever in the land of the Palestinian reigned by God. Then Jerusalem shall be the Zion. Also, this Palestinian land is no longer a city of terror, but as  prophecy through Ezekiel the prophet Jerusalem shall be Jehovah Samma that is the city dwelling with the Lord God. . (EZ. 48: 1-35).

          At this time, God will give the remnant of  Israel will divide  the land of Palestine to the twelve tribes. At that time, the Bible says that all the Gentiles in sin that do not believe in God will no longer be seen on the earth, and that the Israelites, who are sanctified, will become a nation of priests and a place to live with the repentant Gentiles. At this time, this land will be renewed. The prophet Ezekiel testified about the water of life flowing out of the temple:

”    And it shall come to pass, that every thing that liveth, which moveth, whithersoever the rivers shall come, shall live: and there shall be a very great multitude of fish, because these waters shall come thither: for they shall be healed; and every thing shall live whither the river cometh…… And by the river upon the bank thereof, on this side and on that side, shall grow all trees for meat, whose leaf shall not fade, neither shall the fruit thereof be consumed: it shall bring forth new fruit according to his months, because their waters they issued out of the sanctuary: and the fruit thereof shall be for meat, and the leaf thereof for medicine.. “(Ezekiel 47: 9, 12)

           At this time, Palestine and Jerusalem, the land of terror, will be the land of peace, and the garden of Eden will be restored to the land that has been defiled by the old serpent, the devil. But Satan  that  knows this  better than anyone, will gather in Armageddon to assault Israel in order to make the God’s plan in vain through the principalities and powers, the rulers of darkness, and the wicked spirits , A series of events that are taking place today will constantly strike at Jerusalem to remove the Jews from the heavy stone Jerusalem, as already determined through the United Nations, but they cannot defeat God. We will soon see God’s will take place on earth as well as in heaven.

          Therefore, God blesses those who pray for the peace of Jerusalem:” Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: they shall prosper that love thee.” (Psalm 122: 6).
