Sermon Title: The image of the mature bride of Christ
When God created the heavens and the earth,. and created man on the earth, the heavens and the earth where God dwelt were one. However, Satan the Devil, that had been cast out without finding a place in heaven, separated man from God by bringing sin to the earth. From then on, heaven and earth no more one anymore, and the earth fell into the hands of Satan the devil.
God planned what He would do for six thousand years to reunite heaven and earth. For six thousand years, all people born on earth could not become one with God, but rather were born as one with Satan the devil. Jesus, who appeared on this earth, knew this and made a very important statement. He gave very brief remarks about the process of reunifying heaven and earth through him, referring to Satan the Devil as a thief:
God called Abraham to send Jesus Christ into the world and said that in him all nations would be blessed (Genesis 12:3). God gave Abraham’s grandson Jacob a new name Israel, and made his twelve sons as a nation, and chose them. According to the covenant God made with Abraham, God gave them all the land from the river of Egypt to the great river Euphrates as an inheritance (Genesis 15:18).
God gave them the promised land of Canaan and said that God Himself married unto them and became one flesh with them in order to reunite heaven and earth through them (Jeremiah 3:14).
But as the nation of Israel continued to commit fornication with the Gentiles, God made a decision, saying:
The people of Israel forsaken God committing adultery with the Gentile nations, but they were also forsaken by those nations, and wandered all over the world. Finally, Jesus was born as a descendant of Abraham. God made a plan to reconcile the world with God by accepting his only begotten Son as a sacrifice. However, the Jews of Israel committed adultery with the Romans who ruled them at that time and killed their Messiah, Jesus Christ. However, God wanted to take away the sin of the world by atonement for the sins of the world through the blood Jesus through his death. However, the Jewish people did not receive him to the end. But to those who received the Son, he gave the power to become the sons of God (John 1:12).
Even so, God still had a plan for the people of Israel who had left God so that they would return to the Lord during the great tribulation period, Jacob’s trouble. The prophet Hosea foretold what would take place on that day:
Finally, when they repent before the Lord Jesus Christ and receive Him, they shall enter the Millennial Kingdom, that is the third day of God and live in His sight.
That’s right. Through his only begotten son, Jesus Christ, God will finally cast out the thief Satan the devil and restore heaven and earth to be one again through the nation of Israel and the church of God.
Repentance and believing in the Lord Jesus Christ is the indescribable glory of obeying God’s will to restore the heavens and the earth to become one body with the Lord Jesus Christ married unto him.
Solomon’s bride, the Shulamite woman, is the type of Christian who forsakes Satan the devil to receive the Lord Jesus Christ, who gives life to the sheep and gives them abundantly.
In the text given to us, shows us Christian spiritually separated from Christ for a while, and after fellowship is stopped, later on repent and serve Him again.
This is a confession that aChristian will take up the cross as bitter as myrrh and follow Christ while praying without ceasing (Frankincense) after fellowship with the Lord is restored. The confession going to the mountains is a decision to live a life of one step high spiritually from now on.
At this time, Solomon speaks praises to the Shulamite woman. It is also the voice of the Lord to Christians who want to be mature spiritually:
Solomon tells her to come out of Lebanon at this time, where she is, and look from the summit of Amana, from the summits of Snir and Hermon, from the lions’ dens, from the mountains of the leopards (Sol 4:8).
When we reach spiritually high, as the Apostle Paul testified, there are principalities and powers, rulers of the darkness of this world, and spiritual evils (Ephesians 6:12). The lion and the leopard are talking about spiritual warfare with the Devil and Antichrist. Through the Apostles Peter and John, they said:
Solomon says, she is pretty, even though she has only one eye in her eyes and only one chain around her neck, but she stole his heart with one eye and one chain around her neck. Moreover, he says that the woman of Sulamite, whom he loves, is much better than wine, and that the smell of her perfume is better than all perfumed oil.
That’s right! In the eyes of the Lord, the bride of the Church of God is more beautiful than anyone else in the world and more beautiful than anything else in the world, seeing how her bride, who belongs to the church of God, is poor, no matter how much she has, and even though she is crippled, she has been redeemed by her blood and made holy.
Solomon praises his bride, the woman of Shulamite, that her lips flow like honey from a beehive, honey and milk are under her tongue, and her clothes smell like the scent of Lebanon (Sol 4:11).
The Lord praises his bride Christian as they always yearn for the Word of God, keeping the words under his tongue, and always testify of the Word.
Solomon speaks of the Shulamite woman as a locked garden, a closed well, and a sealed spring. He is saying the same thing over and over again. The Lord gave the holy Spirit to his own bride and sealed it so that no one could open it and take it out:
Now Solomon is talking about the beautiful fruits of the Shulamite woman’s trees. He says there are streams flowing out of Lebanon, with pomegranate, camphor with persimmon, persimmon, saffron, calamus cinnamon, frankincense, myrrh and aloe and all precious spices.
That’s right. The Spirit, given by the Lord, enables Christians to live and bear fruit. Not only that, but the water of life flows from the belly, so that many souls may be brought to eternal life:
Apostle John finished saying, “Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus. “(Rev. 22:20) In fact, the Lord Jesus is waiting for his bride opening the window of heaven before his bride comes to him as Isaac went out to meditate in the field at the eventide waiting his bride Rebekah. Finally Isaac brought her into his mother Sarah’s tent, and took her as his wife(Gen 24:63-67).
