Devotional of the Week: Psalm 91:1-16

Text: Psalm 2:1-12

Title: Psalm 2 Fulfilled by the United Nations Against the Lord Jesus Christ

      King David of Israel, led by the Holy Spirit, prophesied what would happen in the present world:

” Why do the heathen rage, and the people imagine a vain thing?² The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the Lord, and against his anointed, saying, Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords from us.‘ (Psalm 2:1-3)

      At this time it was prophesied that God, who is seating on the throne of the heavens, would say to them:

“He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: the Lord shall have them in derision. ⁵ Then shall he speak unto them in his wrath, and vex them in his sore displeasure.⁶ Yet have I set my king upon my holy hill of Zion. “ (Psalm 2:4-6)

      All the nations and rulers of the present world are waiting for the Antichrist  appearing sooner or later, and they are opposing the Lord Jesus Christ, who will reappear in the world as King of Kings and Lord of Lords, who will judge all nations and rulers who do not believe in Him, and establish His kingdom.

       He also prophesied that the Lord Jesus Christ, who will judge the whole world in the future, will appear in the world:

” I will declare the decree: the Lord hath said unto me, Thou art my Son; this day have I begotten thee.⁸ Ask of me, and I shall give thee the heathen for thine inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth for thy possession.⁹ Thou shalt break them with a rod of iron; thou shalt dash them in pieces like a potter’s vessel.‘ (Psalm 2:7-9)

       Not only that, but he prophesied that now, in the time of the end, God will call out to the rulers of this world to repent:

“Be wise now therefore, O ye kings: be instructed, ye judges of the earth.¹¹ Serve the Lord with fear, and rejoice with trembling.¹² Kiss the Son, lest he be angry, and ye perish from the way, when his wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all they that put their trust in him.” .(Psalm 2:10-12)

       God, through the prophet Daniel, heard the words of the angel Gabriel and prophesied that the nations of this world would not repent and would make a covenant with the Antichrist and resist Christ Jesus:

” Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city, to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most Holy.²⁵ Know therefore and understand, that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem unto the Messiah the Prince shall be seven weeks, and threescore and two weeks: the street shall be built again, and the wall, even in troublous times.²⁶ And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himself: and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined.²⁷ And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.”(Daniel 9:24-27)

      God has set His own timetable focusing on Israel, and He is saying that the one person who will appear, the Antichrist, will make a covenant with Israel and many others for seven years as one week, and then in the last three and a half years, He will break the covenant and destroy the Israelites.

        According to the 17 agendas  contained in the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) finalized by the United Nations over  two days on September 18 and 19, all countries, together with the United Nations, have set goals for the next seven years until 2030  and have declared that they will create a world without war with  peace and security in  the world by their own strength. To this end, the Pope of the Church of Rome has called on the rulers of all nations to cooperate. In the future, as long as the Antichrist appears, the words prophesied by the Apostle Paul about the Lord’s day will be fulfilled, and the time will come before us when they will say that they are in peace and safety. The day is not far off. At the same time, before the appearance of the Antichrist, we must watch and pray day by day, looking upward, in the hope that the day will soon come when the Church of God that the Bride of Christ will be lifted up to heaven:

“But of the times and the seasons, brethren, ye have no need that I write unto you.² For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night.³ For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.⁴ But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief.⁵ Ye are all the children of light,and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness.⁶ Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober.⁷ For they that sleep sleep in the night; and they that be drunken are drunken in the night.⁸ But let us, who are of the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love; and for an helmet, the hope of salvation.⁹ For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ,”(1 Thessalonians 5:1-9)

The 17 SDGs  show that all the nations of the world today are in opposition to the Lord and His anointed One, the Lord Jesus Christ, and to cast off His yoke and await the appearance of the Antichrist, demonstrating a false commitment to make the world peaceful and secure in their own power.

9. INDUSTRY, INNOVATION AND INFRASTRUCTURE,
10. REDUCED INEQUALITIES,
11. SUSTAINABLE CITIES ABD COMMUNITIES
12. RESPONSIBLE CONSUMPTION AND PRODUCTION
13. CLIMATE ACTION
14. LIFE BELOW WATER
15. LIFE ON LAND
16. PEACE, JUSTICE AND STRONG INSTITUTION
17. PARTNERSHIP FOR THE GOALS

       All of these goals can only be accomplished when the Lord Jesus Christ returns to judge the world, and restore the earth, and rule the world with fairness and justice. Already, the whole world has been destroyed by people who have destroyed fairness and justice and completely destroyed the earth that God created, and they have been irrevocably destroyed again, making them like terminally ill patients with cancer. No one could recover. However,  the Antichrist who will take control of the United Nations will deceive the whole world with lies. Eventually, all the nations that were deceived by the Antichrist and followed him shall all be destroyed at Armageddon:

“For I will gather all nations against Jerusalem to battle…Then shall the Lord go forth, and fight against those nations, as when he fought in the day of battle.

⁴ And his feet shall stand in that day upon the mount of Olives, which is before Jerusalem on the east, and the mount of Olives shall cleave in the midst thereof toward the east and toward the west, and there shall be a very great valley; and half of the mountain shall remove toward the north, and half of it toward the south….And the Lord shall be king over all the earth: in that day shall there be one Lord, and his name one.”(Zech 14:2b,3-4,9)

“And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war.¹² His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself.¹³ And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God.¹⁴ And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean.¹⁵ And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.¹⁶ And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, King Of Kings, And Lord Of Lords….And I saw the beast, and the kings of the earth, and their armies, gathered together to make war against him that sat on the horse, and against his army.²⁰ And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone.²¹ And the remnant were slain with the sword of him that sat upon the horse, which sword proceeded out of his mouth: and all the fowls were filled with their flesh.”(Rev. 19:11-16, 19-21)

        When Christ’s millennial kingdom ends, and even the devil is judged in the lake of fire, and then there is a new heaven and a new earth, and Eden is restored in  the city of New Jerusalem, the agenda that God has set for the heavens, the earth, and the city of the New Jerusalem shall finally be fulfilled for seven thousand years instead of seven.
